Hi all. Been off in RL. Crawling back to my keyboard. Saw The Voice live last night, and remarked to myself,

” Oh Geebus. The twitter and blogosphere is going to explode.”

Had my computer down due to the unrelenting thunderstorms here lately. Peeked in before work to see the detritus. What a shitstorm over basically nothing.

Did I like Levine’s comment? No. Was Adam Lambert’s name mentioned on national TV by a huge star? Yes. Was his song gloriously sung? Yes. Did a lot of Glamberts over-react? Yup. Did everybody get a whole lotta press over this? YUP.

Like AFL said, “it’s all good.”

Luval, I know this isn’t a weather site. But Holy Moly. I have never seen so much rain, rain, hail, thunder, lightening, rain, oh look! What’s that bright light? Oh, why, that’s what we used to call “the sun.” But, now, it’s gone again. Rain, rain, thunder, lightening. Rain, rain, and for a change, RAIN. Every fucking day for weeks and weeks.

Good Morning!

I wasn’t able to access this site on Firefox. It indicated that the link was broken. I’m now on IE and I got through right away.

eywflyer – I think I was very thorough earlier when I searched ALL of the hotels in Ste.-Agathe for rooms available. It wasn’t as difficult as it might sound because all of the hotels appeared on one page and each indicated “fully booked” from July 28th to July 30th – that’s the criteria that I used. There are some rooms available but those hotel’s/B&B’s are a mile or so away from Ste.-Agathe. There’s no public transportation. One would need a car.

I just got off the phone with TLKC who is very good friends with kdd43. kdd43 booked several rooms at the SpaWatel perhaps as many as 5. We’re trying to reach her now to see if she’s held onto those reservations. If she has, then it would appear that you could reserve one in your name.

Maybe your travel plans have fallen through and you won’t be able to make it. But, if you can go, we’re trying our best to find you a room.

Would you and your traveling companion want to share your room at the SpaWatel? I hear eywflyer is looking for a place to sleep. Sharing certainly reduces the cost of the room. Just a thought …

eywflyer- I recently secured a room for 2 nts at the Super8 in Ste Agathe which was also SOLD OUT. I emailed and finally was referred to a customer service rep-Mattieu Paquette-who speaks fairly good English (better than my French). He was kind enough to email and then call when he had a cancellation. I missed out on the 1st one he had but did get the second because he kept the room available for me to get back to him by booking it in his own name!Realy quite kind and helpful there. Hi Ron- I have no idea how far they are from each other. I was just happy it was in Ste Agathe itself and not a few miles out as many other little places were. My husband and I will have a rental car (compact)that we will pick up in New Hampshire where we fly into.But we certainly could take 2-3 people.

I just came from MapQuest and the hotels are 1.5 miles apart from one another. For me, that would be a good 25 minute walk but I do have rather long legs.

Tentatively we’re thinking of 5:00pm. If we go with that time, people will be able to enjoy having cocktails on the terrace, move on to the dining room for dinner and then go to the Festival grounds. I think starting early at 5:00pm will allow people, who want to, to do all three. I know that this is what Northern Spirit would like and karadamour, as well. (BTW, where is kradamour?!??)

I think milkywayfairy and I will probably spend the night on the terrace. How many times are we all going to be together? Not many. So, I’d prefer socializing with everyone on this Board that’s going for as long as possible.

Ron, jlurksacto, little dutchess thank you so much for offering to help out with the room situation! I’m still not sure if I can make it (looking at various flight options and my available vacation time), but if I am able to come I’ll definitely have a rental car, and can stay with a friend of mine in Montreal if need be. That’s a bit of a drive of course, but due to having to shoehorn this trip into a tight time window I’d have to fly out of Dorval (I like that name better than the new one) at 830am Saturday morning anyway, so probably better to overnight closer to the airport.

Knowing you luval, I absolutely can see you in your little car barreling through the forest, flying over creeks, swerving around trees and crashing through bushes all to shave 2 minutes off of the 4 minutes it will take to drive on the road.

Luval, yes indeed – Foxwoods is up next! One of the most incredible acoustic versions of WLL on the entire tour, although the acoustic to electric WLL in Denver is my personal favorite.

It hasn’t been a month but it seems that long that Canadians haven’t been receiving mail. The Government is going to legislate postal workers back to work on Monday. I hope our Festival tickets will finally be on their way to us then!

Hi NS! I can’t wait to see you Sunday night for dinner!! YAY! I’ll be sparkly for the dinner party in Ste.-Agathe but not for the concert. Sequins in a field by a lake doesn’t work for me.

It hasn't been a month but it seems that long that Canadians haven't been receiving mail. The Government is going to legislate postal workers back to work on Monday. Glad you’re gonna make it eywflyer!! Ron, start counting heads!! Did you speak to Lise yet? Tell her about 30-35 so far. She wanted an approx. count as soon as we could tell her. There are a few others not on this site that are interested in our get together. We may have to book the whole restaurant at this rate!! lol No tweeting about this peeps!! We’d never fit then. Did Ron tell you he bought out the glitter at his local party supply shop? hahahaaha j/k
