Partaayyy!! Ron is the entertainment!!! Smile Smile Smile
    Adam is the dessert!!

  2. adamized says:

Wow, over 1000 comments on the June thread. Must be the “eyes, baby eyes” I vote we keep the eyes on each non-concert thread. They are so lovely it would be a shame to not have them to look at every morning.

I think Adam and the band should be invited to the St. Agathe dinner. Just imagine how left out they will feel if they see us all having such a good time and they only have room service to keep them entertained. I’m only partially kidding about this. Though Adam probably won’t join us, I think Monte, TJ, and Isacc would be up for it.

  3. adamized says:

Hi cgesq ; I believe we met briefly at the Upper Darby concert. Great your making the trek up North. Should be lots of fun.

Re inviting guests of honor…why not?

Re keeping same photo (eyesbabyeyes) at top of all chat threads…I know what you are saying, adamized, but there are so many gorgeous pics of Adam that I kinda hate to limit us to only one. I rather like the idea of a surprise on the first of each month. It’s not like we would ever be disappointed. Wink

  5. adamized says:

Kradamour sigh…guess you are right but those eyes speak to my soul…

Off to work now. Have a good day everyone.

  6. luval says:

Good morning! I like the eyes too.

    Adamized,
Yes, I remember meeting you at the Upper Darby concert. The women who hopefully is joining me in Quebec is someone I met at Upper Darby as well. She was sitting next to me at that show and we got to talking and we just hit it off. Its amazing how we all connect through Adam!!!

BTW, Thanks Kradamour for adding us to the list.

  9. tchrsd says:

Adam spending Father’s Day with Eber in SD? If I had only known…just down the road.
I think guests of honor at the party would be the icing on the cake! If Adam would celebrate publicly with Dad at Turf Club in SD then surely he’d join us for a nightcap or something??? I wonder about them possibly coming when they find out about the devoted fans coming from near and far. It’s an intimate little group and we promise to keep our hands to ourselves! Well at least show some restraint. Smile

  10. luval says:

Cgesq. Hi remember we missed each other at the Upper Darby pre concert party. We got there really late because it was so hard to maneuver the traffic and the general “pit” called Upper Darby. No offense to Upper Darby. Smile

  11. ultimathule says:

If anyone is interested in the technical aspects of Adam’s voice and discussion of his performances by posters knowledgeable of such, Digital Dream Door (DDD) has begun a new thread (quite extensive). I’ve been following this site for quite a while now and happy to see that Adam is now being recognized by posters there for his remarkable talent. The thread is so long now that one can get really immersed in it and lose track of time. Being an opera nerd and in love with the human voice (especially male), I find these discussions particularly rewarding.

  12. Kradamour says:

ultimathule, I always pay attention when you post. Always something worth reading or noting.

  13. milwlovesadam says:

How do you find that thread? I went to the site, can’t quite figure it out. Link please?

  15. glambotgram says:

Watching Anthony Bourdain right now and he is in Montreal eating many varieties of poutine.

  16. luval says:

omg…so much information on that digitaldreamdoor site. I’m only half way through the first link! It really is great.

And glambotgram, by the time I got to Bourdain he was somewhere in the woods eating maple syrup food!

  17. Kradamour says:

Ooooh, tarte au sucre… maple syrup pie…mmm…

  18. Ron says:

    Good evening!

I wasn’t going to ever bring up the “P” word again but now that (Hi!) glambotgram has opened that door…

I thought of calling the SpaWatel and asking if they’d include poutine on their menu. I read somewhere on their site that they would take special orders into consideration.

But, TLKC reminded me that, at the Festival grounds, every concession stand will offer poutine. This won’t be gourmet poutine coming off of a truck Smile but, for the curious, you’ll be able to get a reasonable sampling of what all this mention of poutine has been all about … Smile

A nice cardboard box and a plastic fork to dig right in. LOL

  19. riskylady says:

Yep, everyone, starting on page one of that DDD link that jlurksacto posted is THE most comprehensive list of Adam’s performances before, during and after Idol, INCLUDING IDOL TOUR VIDS, all WITH LINKS, and also an astonishing number of MP3 download links. An ENORMOUS amount of work went into this, and as a bonus they often note what they consider the best of the best. If you think this thread is long (currently at 127 pages), this list starting on page 1 was brought over from a previous thread that I believe had gone to more than 300, possibly even 500 (jlurksacto, do you remember?) And I see that they have even put a couple of Moscow vids in that first list. A great source!

  20. JOJOSIE says:

If you need a good laugh, to to VEVO and watch Weird Al Yankevic’s take off of Lady Gaga’s Born this Way. There’s even a fake Madona appearance.

  21. Ron says:

Many thanks ultimathule for bringing the DDD site to our attention and to jlurksacto for providing the Links!

I purposely haven’t looked at the site yet because I will LOVE reading all about it and I’ll want to set aside some special time when I can do that.

  22. Northern Spirit says:

Wow, what an amazing site, ultimathule. Thanks for mentioning it. How will I ever find the time to go through it all !? I love sites like this.

  23. Kradamour says:

    gourmet poutine

    Oxymoron.
Poutine is populist food at its best off a truck or in a diner, it was never intended to be haute!
But thank you for reminding us of the concessions, Ron. They also are supposed to tie into the fire theme, so I am hoping for some killer kabobs…

  24. milwlovesadam says:

Bourdain does go for the “cheesy” at times. He even went to the same luau place we did in Hawaii. Pretty funny because shortly after our famous trip to Hawaii, Kris ended up on You Tube in a hula skirt at the same place. Paradise Cove, for anyone who is curious.

I still like Bourdain, but he’s not as edgy since he quit smoking and boozing, got married and had a kid. IMHO.

Hi Jojosie!! I had some pineapple yesterday and actually thought of your quest for the pineapple in Hawaii!!

Yes, the Gaga/Weird Al video was very funny.

  25. Ron says:

    Hi NS!

So what’s your stand on … poutine? Smile

You’ve missed all the previous comments about it. I so want all of the U.S. peeps making this journey to Quebec to have a lasting memory of something French-Canadian to take home with them be it visual or through their taste buds. Grin

  26. milwlovesadam says:

    Kradamour: Flaming Poutine?

I’ve heard of, and have had Bananas Foster in New Orleans, at Brennan’s of course, and have had crepes Suzette.

But Poutine???? You have got to be kidding.

  27. Ron says:

Yes Kradamour, after I posted it, I realized referring to poutine in any way, shape, or form as “gourmet” was just plain wrong. Smile

  28. Kradamour says:

For those who speak French, a nice little youtube about the Ste Agathe festival with a mention that Adam Lambert’s concert is intended for young people (that would include us 29 year olds):
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sssE6UBwTmQ

  29. Northern Spirit says:

Hi Ron….well, I have to admit that when I first moved up here to the north 20 years ago and heard about poutine from my French Canadian friends, I cringed, thinking “how could this possibly be food!”…a heart attack on a plate was my first thought. So I stayed away from it for a few years. But my curiousity got the better of me and I took my first bite….and never turned back. There’s traditional poutine (fries, cheese curds and gravy) and now gourmet versions with just about anything you can think of. I’ve tried poutine with swiss cheese, mushrooms, gravy and fries. Awesome.

Everyone must try some when you’re in Ste. Agathe. It’s a local delicacy. I’m so glad you brought this up. I can’t wait to get me some when I’m there.

  30. Ron says:

  31. Kradamour says:

    Kradamour: Flaming Poutine?

mils, too funny! I didn’t realize that my post could be taken to mean that the poutine would be part of the fire theme!
    Can.not.imagine.

  32. Kradamour says:

Well, wait until you see this really good friend of mine that’s going to Ste.-Agathe, she’s … Oh, sorry … I guess you’re still talking about food. Wink

Big Rolls Eyes … I know, I know … Smile

Ron, cheri, that is a post that really could have been edited into a dot. Just saying. But I love you anyway. Smile

You know, I don’t remember how long the original DDD Adam thread was. I
was upset when they talked about renewing/restarting the thread, but the
lists were copied over to the new thread. So no loss, except for some great
    conversations/arguments about best/worst.

  34. milkywayfairy says:

jlurksacto thanks for the new Adam pics,I haven’t seen them. And the DDD site is amazing, it’s got everything. Thanks so much Smile

  35. TLKC says:

Hello everybody! Just checked in to say hi and sorry I haven’t been here since Maxidrom! Congratulations on hitting over 1000 posts this month. Many thanks jlurksacto for the pictures of Adam on Father’s Day. I had heard that they spent the day together but no pics until now.

Regarding poutine, I am not a fan but there isn’t a food on earth that can’t be turned into a gourment dish if someone wants to have a go at it (and that someone is usually from a distant country who finds it exotic because it’s different.) We have a gourmet tacos restaurant in Toronto.

    Is Ron still here?

  36. TLKC says:

Hey milkywayfairy & Northern Spirit – visiting from another Adam planet?

  37. Ron says:

Let me see … yes, I’m still here, TLKC

  38. TLKC says:

It’s a bit slow tonight – not much Adam news. I like that DDD site.

  39. TLKC says:

WHAT HAPPENED TO MY AVATAR? It was there the last time I was on!

  40. Ron says:

    Kradamour stole it. Smile

I don’t remember that you’ve ever had an avatar, TLKC.

Well she’s forgiven if she’s the one who thought of flaming poutine. I smell alcohol in there somewhere, which sounds good to me.

Going back to Adam and his Dad on Father’s Day? Is SD South Dakota?

  43. TLKC says:

Ron! I just checked and Kramadamour’s avatar is a frigging fleur de lis! It’s late and I’m tired but I’m not that dumb. Do I LOOK like a fleur de lis?

  44. nkd says:

TLKC, SD would be San Diego in this case!

Thanks jlurksacto for posting the picture links. Smile

  45. TLKC says:

Okay I just spent 3 minutes trying to edit the errors out of the last post. Going to bed. Try again tomorrow. G’night if there’s anyone here.

Hello dear nkd! My sense of humor isn’t always received in the way that it’s intended. If someone is bothered by it, I become a “dot”. Smile

It’s all about humor that gets us through life, isn’t it?

No worries … it’s all good! Grin

  47. TLKC says:

nkd: Ouch, that hurt. Really need sleep if I think of South Dakota before Adam’s home town. Thanks, nkd.

  49. nkd says:

TLKC…understood! We all have our moments!

    Hello Ron!
Change of subject, but I have been shopping and shopping, and still have no idea what I’m suppose to wear while in Quebec! It is so hot here, I can’t comprehend a sweater or jacket right now!

Dear nkd, a sweater? a jacket? It’s going to be the middle of Summer and it’s HOT up here!

Take it from someone who lives here … I’ll be wearing a sleeveless shirt, shorts and sandals for the concert. You will hardly need anything approaching a sweater so … don’t pack one. LOL
