Welcome to our first monthly chat!   This thread is for general chat, planning get togethers for  St. Agathe en Feux Festival, linking pictures, sharing tweets, etc.  Please read our Guidelines before posting or if you are unsure of your post.  We are off to a good start and let’s all do our best to keep this site warm and welcoming to  all Adam fans!

    Hi everyone. I’ve been over at Chunkeys place, lost in Gaga’s new performance of Hair. Gorgeous, just her and a piano. Unbelievable vocal performance. For the first time, since I heard Adam sing, I have goosebumps from a vocal performance.

    June 18th brings us to the only Glam Nation Tour stop in Michigan, at the Royal Oak Music Theatre:

    This was a tough night for videos, as the venue was very strict on cameras. I was only able to find full vids of a few songs and partials of a few others. About half of the show is missing entirely.

    There was a professional photo set taken at this show, I think the venue had this done for all shows which was why they were so strict about cameras:

    Milkywayfairy, I changed the setting for max number of allowed links to 5 (it was 1 at first but that was too strict and we haven’t had comment spam problems yet), so your comment with the pic links initially went to moderation until Adamland cleared it. Links are fine, but if you can keep them to 5 max per post you will see your comments show up immediately in the future. Also welcome to the site, we are glad to see new folks gradually finding their way here!

    Love the look in the photos at justjared, its so good to have some new photos to look at. Is that Alisan Porter he’s with?
    So jealous of all of you going to Quebec, and all the fun you’re going to have together, and of course being able to see Adam perform again. I hope we get lots of videos and very detailed recaps for all os folks that can’t go.
    I’ve never really met anyone that feels the same way as I do about Adam, it must be so great to meet up with like minded people and be able to talk Adam whenever you like without people rolling their eyes and questioning your sanity!

    cwm, we currently have 116 usernames registered on this site. I can’t tell exactly how many have posted a comment overall, but I just installed a new plugin that tells me 67 usernames commented at least once in May, and 47 usernames have commented at least once so far in June.

    I’m very pleased with the growth of the site thus far, and feel confident that it will continue growing slowly but steadily through the next few months. When the next tour starts up, I think we could see a major influx of new users around here.

    Adam does love those boots, doesn’t he?!! I don’t know if his hair is blue, but it certainly does look like there is less brown. He looks two feet taller than Alisan!
    And…the pouch necklace! What is with that? I may have to ask him about it if I see him! Wink

    Kradamour Thanks for the article. I thought it was surprising that officials use the flimsy excuse of feigning ignorance as to what the real issues could possibly be for homosexuals in Russia. Afterall, they have clubs to play in and usually aren’t taunted in the street (sigh)… I guess progress is being made slowly through cultural norms but it is scary that politically-supported discrimination is not seen as a fairly obvious reason for protest.

    Watched LG’s Hair performance. There are few folks around that can perform so beautifully live. The song IMO could have used more lyrics.

    Have a good weekend everyone. Seems like it will be warm enough to power wash my digustingly greenish deck.

    Hi all-

    Out from lurking. Just finished putting air, hotel, and mini vacay in Montreal together for end of July! Staying at the Super8 in Ste Agathe which has been sold out too. No room at the Spa. Flying from FL to NH with husband and will drive to Quebec from there, Just need to buy tickets for Adam’s performance. Hope to see you at dinner.What fun!

    Hi Everyone! Been a few weeks since I’ve visited but now that school is out I can stop by more often. Having “Nana Camp” this week with grandsons. Exhausting but fun! I’m so excited to be joining you in Quebec. Can’t wait to put faces with names and have a wonderful time enjoying this Adam experience with you! Someone on 24/7 posted that Adam is not performing in Quebec and not appearing in Australia to pick up an award. Now that (the Quebec part) is a vicious rumor right? After all this is THE site with the inside scoop and valid information.

    The Ste-Agathe concert is still on the schedule at ALF and AO. The poster on 24/7 must be talking about the confirmation that he will not be at the MMVAs in Toronto. Surely!!!!

    Hi tchrsd,
    I think they meant that he is not appearing on that Canadian award show that IIHY is nominated for, the MMVA’S, not Ste.Agathe. According to AO he was down as appearing there and in Australia and a couple of other places, but he’s not appearing at any of hem, just nominated.

    tchrsd, I agree with HK fan, they likely meant that Adam is not appearing on the MMVA’s (which is tomorrow night!). Adam is still shown as the performer on the 29th at the Feux Festival http://www.steagatheenfeux.com/en/program/spectacles.html

    Being new here, I don’t know how I’m going to remember all your names and then when we meet in person, real names on top of that. I’ve managed it okay on the other site I go to, so I’m sure I just need a little more time here.

    Have a youTube subscription to lambosessed. Just got a link to an IMPROVED version of WLL from Moscow put together by lambo. Really well done – can download mp4 (which I’ve done) – and love the comments on the youTube vid as well as the running commentary by lambosessed on the website. Check it out.

    I have my outfit all put together on stand-by mode just in case there’s a last minute phone call, but I’m otherwise VERY disappointed that I haven’t been asked to accept on Adam’s behalf his MMVA this evening :!: Do you think it might be a simple oversight Confused: LOL

    Last year, I was never more happy to be wrong when Adam received his award. I didn’t think he stood a real chance of winning. Let’s hope I’m wrong again this year, too!

    Today marks my one year anniversary of seeing Adam in the GNT in Toronto! At that time, it was the largest audience he appeared in front of estimated to be between 8,000 and 10,000. “If I could turn back time” … that’s one day that I wouldn’t mind reliving all over again!

    All good thoughts to the Universe for Adam to take home the prize (or rather, have it shipped to him) Smile for a second year in a row!

    It is amazing how kids take to Adam and his music. Last night was the best party I’ve been to since Christmas……my 7 year old great granddaughter’s birthday party. I had given my daughter the GNT dvd in an attempt to enroll her as a Glambert…..she’s still lukewarm, but the 7 year and 4 year old took to Adam immediately and

    are full fledged Glamberts. They prefer to watch that to Dora the Explorer or Sponge Bob!.

    My daughter kept the party theme a secret from me and it was a hoot…..7 first grade graduates in shiny green top hats with glitter A’s on them and an assortment of purple scarves and even a few shredded purple towels (fringe) as coats.
    They were glittered to the max. Their Moms really got into the theme!

    It was a two hour dance party…they sang along and yet were quiet during Soaked just stood and swayed to the music!

    I may not be the Hollywood party type but these are my peers and they know how to party!!!!!!!!

    Hi Ron…Just got in from working outside all morning. I glittered up my bush sculpture near the road with spray-on glue and silver glitter…very subtle and sparkly in the sunshine. My neighbor loves it.

    I think you should go over there and lurk in all your glory. You’re only a couple of blocks away and the weather should be perfect.I will watch it on tv (if it’s on) and look for you. You would have some great stories to tell I think.

    Hi luval!! You’re painting your bushes?!?? You’ve been watching “Alice in Wonderland” again, haven’t you? Wink

    The weather here IS perfect – 70F – but while the MMVA’s are only a few blocks from my home, I’d BE a few blocks away from the stage! I’m sure all of those people who camped out and got their wristbands have already secured their spot as close to the stage as they can possibly get. I’d be far, FAR away from the center of activity and really don’t think it’s worth going there.

    I’d feel very differently if Adam was lurking about in town but he’s home and I’m going to stay home with him. I mean, I’m going to stay home! Grin

    When I have these block quote failures, it happens if I change ONE word within the quote or change anything within the quote or add to it.

    I did the block quote correctly. I went to ‘Edit’ to try and change it but it’s perfect.

    What I did was add the ‘Hi Ron’ and that threw everything off.

    Just got off the phone with TLKC and she invited me to join her and go the MMA’s area this afternoon. Seeing her certainly sweetens the pot, so to speak, but it’s going to be a zoo.

    Hi nkd! Yes, Lady GaGa is performing as is Bruno Mars, Avril Lavigne, Snoop Dog … those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Selena Gomez is co-hosting. They’ve been keeping the Host under wraps but everyone is sure it’s going to be her boyfriend, Bieber!

    Presenters will include: Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder (“Vampire Diaries”) and Johnny Galecki (“The Big Bang Theory”) and many others.

    I wouldn’t mind seeing Mr. Somerhalder. Wink

    “JAK” from 24/7 comments about birthday party was cute and I can totally relate. The minute my grandsons (7&4) get in the car they ask for Adam Lambert then start singing along to every song. Pretty funny when they sing the more suggestive lyrics but have no idea what they’re saying! Waiting for questions about “take the pain take the pleasure I’m the master of both.” YIKES!

    Had my own Adam themed bday party back in April and it was a blast! Adams on sticks joined us in the limo and in the restaurant. People thought we were only a little crazy but who cares?? Smile

    The broadcast is showing the back street for the arrivals. EVERYONE else is in the front where the main stage is located. They’ve only shown glimpses of where most people are waiting.

    ha ha. I noticed that, too. Someone’s got to teach this boy how to walk with class. Usher’s not doing a good job. Adam needs to spend some time with him.
