That is, of course, w-a-y before my time!! Krad LOL

  5. Kradamour says:

Of course it was, Ronnie, how could I forget? Wink

  6. milwlovesadam says:

Krad (Tee Hee): I haven’t seen Bridesmaids yet, but from those who have, the intro part of the movie had many scenes of local landmarks that were filmed here, and appropriate. I’m not sure what else goes on, but people here think that the movie “represented” Milwaukee pretty well.

I also thought that the Idol audition episode showed Milwaukee very nicely. And, because the winner had his audition here, there were a lot of shots of our art museum on the lake, at the Calatrava , showcased very nicely.

  7. Kradamour says:

I love dot posts. That little dot undoubtedly stands for so much…so mysterious…

  8. Kradamour says:

Well, Millie, from Bridesmaids I would say that Milwaukee looks like a really great place to live. I do often miss the midwest. Spent 8 years there for undergraduate and law school. A good place.

  9. Kradamour says:

    Okay, off to bed!
    G’nite, peeps! Sweet Adam dreams!

This is the program I use. You can download videos to your MAC for free. Then (and this is the catch) you have to buy the 2nd part that allows you to “convert” the videos so you can put them on your Ipad. It is $19.00 (us). I decided to go ahead and buy it and it does work very well. I haven’t found anything else that is totally free.

  14. Ceddies says:

My ears were burning so I figured I’d better check around to find out who is talking about me. I see that my name has been correctly included on the Ste. Agathe list. I’ve been gone all day and was just checking in before going to bed. Welcome NS and Mway. We love Ron and are sure we will love you as well. I found Adam when he auditioned and opened his mouth to sing “Mama, just killed a man…”. No turning back for me. I live in the Deep South, Mississippi to be exact. So, my driving time will be a three-four days there and then the same amount of time to get back home. I will drive over 800 miles before I connect with Kradamour. I’m so stoked for this adventure of seeing Adam and getting to meet so many of his fans and see again those whom I’ve already met.

ETA: No disrespect, Ron, that I didn’t “bold” your name. It’s late and I’m tired. Sorry!

    Thanks RON!!!

Just call me Ronnie as Krad now refers to me.

Actually, please don’t. I was Ronnie when I was 5 years old. I decided when I was 6 years old that I was grown up enough to be called Ron.

Kradamour will always be Kradamour henceforth as long as you’ll never call me Ronnie again. Smile

  16. nkd says:

    Goodnight Ronnie! Wink
    Goodnight everyone!

  17. Ron says:

    Good night, nkd.

    I’m off to bed, too.

Good night, everyone. See ya later. Wink

  18. milkywayfairy says:

milwlovesadam, yay, thanks so much, I love my new name Mway Smile
Hey luval, so looking forward to seeing you again, never realized before Adam that this world is so small, LOL
Yay! Northern Spirit, so good to see you. My name here is Mway, mil helped me out, I love it Smile . And you are NS, love it too, simple and sweet, just like you are in person Smile
Ron, I’ll see you at the Garden party, do you like sushi? LOL, Ron, I was watching the hockey game, didn’t know you were partying here. I was cheering for Bruins!! Ha ha, only one rotten tomato thrown at me from Canucks fans, they’re busy burning cars in downtown Vancouver, I am safe Razz . LOL you were On the Broadwalk, you can’t get away with it, ROFL
nkd, everyone loves Ron. He is endangered specie, we must protect him Grin
Kradamour, my friends were rolling their eyes when I first told them I loved Adam, they thought I would grow out of it. Now two year later, I’m happier than ever, I can tell they’re soooooo jealous, LOL
Kradamour, Krad is good, I like it, easy to remember. See! I’m not cheating, and I already remember Krad, nkd, Luval, adamized, NS, turquoise, jlurk, Mils, and of course Ron, and eywflyer, and Calgary(that’s an easy one Smile ) Anyone I missed? Oh noooo I forget TLKC, I’m in big trouble, LOL. Thanks Krad for the list of Ste-Agathe goers, {{wave}} to Cher, Ceddies and Risky, are you here? Grin
adamized, will be meeting you in Ste-Agathe, OMG!! So many new friends here, I love it Smile
Ceddies, there you are. Just saw you posted. Thanks for the welcome Smile . Looking forward to meeting you.

What? Why are you off to bed, it’s only 1am Razz

  19. jlurksacto says:

I’m looking forward to meeting you on the terrace on the 28th!

    I plan on being there.

  20. riskylady says:

Hi and welcome Mway and NS! We have to be kind to those wusses who sometimes nod off before 1 a.m. – other times they pull almost all-nighters, depending on the Adam-related madness of the moment.
Just dropping in to mention to Kradam that I do believe Suz526 is coming to Ste. Agathe (unless she changed her plans lately). I think I read that in last month’s chat.
Love your names, new guys. Northern Spirit just brings to mind all sorts of mental images of the snowy regions of Canada, and the ethnic areas of the northwest that were depicted in the last Olympic Winter Games. Really spellbinding! Wish I could see more on this short trip, but cher and I did add another day for Quebec city as well as old Montreal (on Kradam’s recommendation). Maybe on another trip.
I am a big admirer of all the musical talent of Canada, KD Lang, Buble, Celine, Shania, Leonard Cohen…..others I can’t remember. And literature too!

  22. riskylady says:

Question, Jlurksacto: Is permission required for something like The Kitchen Musical FYE?

  23. eywflyer says:

Riskylady and jlurksacto, I would normally be concerned about that kind of video too as it appears to be a screener copy of a preview ripped onto youtube, but in this case there is a facebook page done by the creator/director of the show (or at least claims to be):
    http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Kitchen-Musical/163925620334369

that contains the same youtube link, so I think it’s ok.

Cool new fan vid from militaryjanne (she took some of the best vids from the Maxidrom concert) summarizing Adam’s trip to Moscow appeared yesterday – “Adam Lambert: Stranger in Moscow”:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2xAbfWduk0

I posted this in the Moscow thread also. She promises a full version soon, I’ll link that one in the top of the Moscow post.

Working on the Hammond recap, and found that was when Broken Open was dropped from the setlist. I don’t think it was ever heard again during the U.S. portion of the GNT (I know Adam sang it in Honolulu, but that was the international setlist). So not only did Milwaukee get the stairs WLL, but they got the final Broken Open in the lower 48 as well. Quite a show.

    It’s a deal!

(Just added Suz to the list above! We are 13 from this site plus nekkid’s daughter Calli for luck!

  26. Kradamour says:

Thanks for that Moscow fan vid, ewyflyer!

Love the frame at about 0:51 – I need to pull a still from that and make a poster…THAT would roll some eyes in my house…

The Kitchen Musical: For Your Entertainment (From Test Pilot)

So, I am a bit confused. Is this a TV pilot? Will they follow the kitchen staff and sing different songs???? I actually thought they were quite good. The arrangement for FYE was one of the best I have ever heard. This is a deceptively hard song to sing and the arrangement managed to get the best result from the diverse group of singers.

  28. Northern Spirit says:

Thanks, riskylady, ceddies and adamized, for the warm welcome! Ron, thanks again for leading mway and myself here. It already feels like home, and I can’t wait to meet you all at Ste Agathe.

    Kradamour

Wow, this is an impressive list of attendees. I’ll be at the Watel, too. Here’s hoping the terrace is wide and expansive, with great views of fireworks at night. Ron says to remember to bring bug spray. We’ll be in the foothills of the Laurentians, wooded area….

ceddies, you have a long drive to get there!riskylady, I decided on the name Northern Spirit because I live in what some Ontarians (okay, Torontonians) would call the north, but geographically, it’s the same latitude as Tacoma, Washington…too, funny. But the name definitely does conjure up images of all that you say, and so I am happy to have this name now. You have great tastes in music, btw Smile . You’re an honorary Canadian.

kradamour, most of my friends and family don’t get my ‘obsession’ with all things Adam, either. I can tell they’re thinking “oh, she’s going through some midlife phase”. And so, I just keep most of it to myself. I surprise myself, sometimes, the length to which I’ll go to see Adam. Just love roadtrips, and sharing it with other Adam fans, is that much more enjoyable.

  29. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

Welcome to our new friends, mway and Northern Spirit! We’re so lucky to add two such enthusiastic fans to our group. Smile

dcglam, thanks for sharing the “great new album” feedback – that made my day! I’m starting to get anxious and excited for the new music. I have so many hopes: Hope there’s a duet with Adele, Hope it’s wonderful (in general), and Hope it doesn’t sound like Goldfrapp, lol. I love that beautiful boy, but still don’t get Goldfrapp…

What an impressive list of peeps going to Ste Agathe! Can’t wait for the plethora of recaps in the days after the big show.

nkd, I have just one thing to say to you: ” . ” (tee-hee!)

Review of Bruno Mars concert with Adam being mentioned.
    http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/bruno-mars-concert-review-202045
Now, to all of you who were complaining about how short Adam’s set was during GNT, Bruno’s is equally short and peeps and reviewers don’t seem to be complaining.
When I said “you”, I didn’t mean YOU over here… Smile
Welcome Mway and Northern Spirit! The more , the merrier.. Smile

Am I the only one who thinks that people who post comments on Yahoo are either 12 year olds or mostly half-literate uneducated adults? I just finished reading Lindsey Parker article about Idols earnings. 99% of commenters are unable to write a full sentence and most of them have severe problems with spelling.
Maybe I should stop reading this garbage. Frown

  34. riskylady says:

Oksana2000, thanks for that review of Bruno Mars. Did you notice that all of the things the author mentions for Bruno were achieved by Adam also? Selling out two nights in a row in that market (well, California: San Fran, Costa Mesa, and LA), the crowd standing for his entire set, putting the audience in the mood for love…..I wish Adam could attend his own concert, for it would surely inspire him too! I like Bruno, but he doesn’t have Adam’s voice and mysterious charisma IMHO.

  35. riskylady says:

Eywflyer, thanks for your reply about The Kitchen Musical. I hope I didn’t give the impression I was questioning posting it here, I was just curious if the creator of the video would have to obtain permission from Adam’s label ro use the song in that manner? I did like it, too, very creative.

  36. Oksana2000 says:

riskylady, yes, I agree with you. I checked capacity of Gibson Amphiteater and it varies depending on the set-up from 3000 to 6000. So Bruno is not performing at arenas either. And he seems to be much more successful than Adam at this point of time. People who are dissing Adam for not playing stadiums and arenas maybe should take second look. Adele was basically booked in the same venues Adam was.
And she had to cancel due to sickness.

  37. dflowers says:

    Kradamour

somehow I have become Krad. Not loving that, gotta say. Rolls Eyes I might have to change my poster name. Maybe adamour, it’s more timely anyway. Hmmm…how does one change one’s name, I wonder? And what would be short for adamour…addy? Bah. Don’t like that one either.

Well Kradamour, if you must change your name how about “amour”? Doesn’t that mean love (or close to it)?

  38. dflowers says:

I am SSOOOO jealous of all of you going to the Quebec concert. Please think of all of us that are stuck at home and take LOTS of pics and Vids. I know Suz will.

Also, Sasha kicked ass last nite!

  39. turquoisewaters says:

Good observation on the venue capacities, Oksana and riskylady. I think there is enough space for Bruno and Adam and a couple more on the market. I have welcomed Bruno Mars on the music scene, because he is one of the few modern male singers whose voice I enjoy. Obviously – for me at least – he does not have that certain je-ne-sais-quoi that Adam has. But hey, who does?

  40. turquoisewaters says:

Full interview of Campbell Live New ealand Oct 2010 – sorry if already posted:

  41. riskylady says:

David Cook, interviewed in Vietnam, nice comment about Adam:

American singer passionate about family, lost his brother and their great support for him. 3 years after American Idol, David’s life have changed and he plans to put them into music.
    > David Cook, Alexandra Burke admonished idol singer / David Cook tired after the long flight to the U.S.

    – He is a rare rock singer won a music contest. Along with his music, Adam Lambert (2009) or James Durbin (this year) featured in American Idol but did not win. What do you think of the chance of winning rock singer in the music contest?

    – Winning Idol is not a guaranteed ticket to the future. About who wins who loses in fact less important than the singer was introduced to the audience how the programs. You refer to Lambert, I think Adam will agree with me that American Idol is a platform for him. He did not win but still is very successful and is claimed to be a true artist. And that was the goal to reach.

  42. riskylady says:

    Northern Spirit says
You have great tastes in music, btw . You’re an honorary Canadian.

THANK YOU!!! That is one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me. I shall try to be a worthy honorary Canadian!

  43. dcglam says:

I’m starting to get anxious and excited for the new music. I have so many hopes: Hope there’s a duet with Adele, Hope it’s wonderful (in general), and Hope it doesn’t sound like Goldfrapp, lol. I love that beautiful boy, but still don’t get Goldfrapp…

Me, too, Texas….. I agree with all of the above. We share a love for Adele as well as not so much for Goldfrapp.

Adele was basically booked in the same venues Adam was.

Yes, Oksana! She performed here in the DC area on May 12 (before getting sick). She actually performed at the 9:30 Club which was exactly where Adam had his concert. This venue holds approximately 1,000. It happened to be one of Adam’s smaller venues from the tour.

  44. luval says:

I agree …no Goldfrapp. Doubt if he’ll collab with Adele right now.

I can hear Adam singing most Rhianna songs. S & M…Only Girl in the World. They should have been his songs! I’d love to hear that he’s working with her producers. IMO of course.

  45. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

Luval, I think Adam would be crucified if he sang “Sex in the air, I don’t care, I love the smell of it.”. I don’t consider myself a prude by any means, but I really cringe a little at those particular lyrics. But it’s fun to speculate what the new album will be like … I don’t have a clue, but the anticipation is wonderful. Smile

  46. Kradamour says:

luval, you are back to posting my thoughts. I was listening to Rihanna earlier today and thought Adam could have a Rihanna feat on his album…her voice is so distinctive, would love to hear Adam’s voice working with it.

  47. Kradamour says:

Well Kradamour, if you must change your name how about “amour”? Doesn’t that mean love?

It does, deflowers. Originally I was going for love Kris and Adam/Kradam. But to be honest, I rarely think of Kris and the name is a little bit passé. But (shrugs) a name is a name, and I’ve had this one for two years now, so it would feel strange to change it. If something amazing comes to mind I’ll think about changing it then.

  48. luval says:

Hi Texas…yeah, I think his career would be over if he sang those lyrics. They are a bit racey. But I just hear Adam’s voice in her songs…I wasn’t paying attention to the lyric! And isn’t it interesting that radio plays her song with no “bleeps”. Just not fair. FYE was such an amazing song (to me). My have times changed. But wanna bet if FYE came out now, it still wouldn’t be played.

  49. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

Luval, I agree that it’s not fair. FYE was my favorite song on the CD, and the video was also my favorite of his three fabulous videos. But I agree with Ceddies that Ryan Tedder’s new song “Good Life” would’ve been perfect for Adam. Hopefully Ryan will share a fabulous song with Adam – we all floved Sleepwalker. Smile
