Exciting times are upon us as July begins! Adam has just completed an outstanding first full length concert with Queen at a charity event in Kiev, Ukraine (as captured in the photo above). Five more Queen + Adam Lambert concerts are lined up for Moscow, Wroclaw (Poland) and London during the next couple of weeks. Adam will then return to the United States to play a series of solo concerts during the second half of the month, including gigs in Costa Mesa, Sacramento, Des Moines, Thackerville (Oklahoma), and a much anticipated return to the site of one of his first and most memorable concerts at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California. All told, Adam will perform in 10 live concerts this month, which will make this his busiest month for live performances since November 2010 when he was in the European portion of the Glam Nation Tour. I just came from MJ’s where the Brad Paisley rumour is in full swing. Who knows what’s going?
The strength of the Idol rumour is good for Adam’s reputation, at the very least, and I honestly don’t think the lack of an announcement means much.
Perhaps they never approached Adam but, if they did, I doubt it was before the first interview he gave. The words “lovely rumour” have an honest ring to them. If they approached him after that, it’s unlikely they would have signed yet. Contract engotiations are generally protracted. Lawyers on both sides will request time to review every change.
We actually have no idea how long the Mariah Carey negotiations have been going on. They may have done a good job of keeping things secret and Idol would have been very motivated to get her signed; they really had to have a big name in place at the same time as the exits of Tyler and JLo were announced.
They will want to draw the other announcements out through the fall.
Not saying it’s happening but can’t see that it’s over.

Oh my, that outfit has to be extremely comfortable, because it sure is ridiculous! I love how carefully Adam usually presents himself when he is working, but then he has no problem walking through the hotel lobby in these goofy outfits.

I’m not surprised it’s closed, it went from talking about Brad to discussing Adam’s lack of qualification to be a judge on Idol. Some of those people over there, are freaking nuts. “If” Adam becomes a judge, some of them are going to have a nervous breakdown. The way they are carrying on, you would think Adam was being vetted for a position at the White House.

I’m reluctant to show my TV ignorance, but is ABC Family Channel separate from ABC? I have never seen PLL.
Yes fwachdr, ABC Family Channel is a seperate channel than the major network ABC.
If anyone has netflix, you can watch the first and second seasons on instant download.
ABC Family is cable. It’s in most standard cable packages, from what I understand. On At&T it’s located numerically near Nickelodeon and Disney, for instance.

Got a quick Adam story. I went into a beauty supply store today to buy yellow nail polish to wear to Winstar. When I got back to my car I realized the color was wrong because I compared it to the color on my Trespassing CD. I had asked the young female clerk for some inexpensive yellow polish because I don’t normally wear nail polish but that I was wanting to wear some to a concert. She didn’t ask whose concert. So, when I realized the color difference, I went back in and took my Trespassing CD in to match it. The girl said “Oh, so that’s whose concert you’re going to”. I told her yes and asked her did she know who he is. She grinned real big and said that of course she did and that she liked him but that she was surprised that I would know who he is. I asked why she was surprised. She said because he was more popular with her age demographic than mine. In one way that made me happy to hear that she thought Adam was more popular in her age demographic (about 20 maybe) than mine. I told her that Adam has an appeal for all ages and told her a little about all of us 29 year olds and what he has done for our lives. She just stood there grinning ear-to-ear with her two big strands of turquoise hair, one on either side of her cheeks.
Oh, and in another way I didn’t like her making such a big deal about our “demographics”. After all, I’m only 29.
My 19yo, almost 20, daughter watches PLL. She just started watching it this summer, catching up on the previous seasons on Netflix, because my 28 yo daughter watches it! So now this 29 yo is trying to catch up! Teenage angst.
My DH uses netflix…I’ll get him to find PLL so I can catch up! Nighty night, ALL…busy day tomorrow…and I’m about to lose use of my iPad again. Hubby’s taking the crashed desktop back to the shop…4th time in three weeks…so there goes my wi-fi connection.
Can’t manage 7 glamchildren at an internet cafe! I say time for a new computer!

Hi everyone, very pleased that PLL is on free-to-air TV in New Zealand. I have always watched it ,and enjoyed it. Even though it’s aimed at younger viewers than myself! The only problem is that we are at the last episode of season 2 and you are in season 3(I think). So may be a long wait!
We get it here, too, and amazingly we are on season 3. (We are usually a few seasons behind or get shows that have already been cancelled.) But that doesn’t mean that come the fall we will get season 4! Keeping my fingers crossed.
I did read somewhere that the Halloween episode was going to be shown between seasons 3 and 4 to give fans something to ease the long wait. Fingers crossed that they show season 3 right after season 2 ends…..

That Sauli is just a copy cat! I’m positive he decided to grow the moustache and beard after he saw me for that split second in Ste.-Agathe one year ago.
Probably took him a year to grow it.

At this rate Trespassing will fall out of the Billboard 200 in another few weeks. Historically, once albums fall out of the 200 it is very difficult to revive them. If Adam does not end up getting the Idol gig, and lacking any significant radio airplay at this time, it becomes difficult to see what path he will have to keep Trespassing viable much longer. Queen collaboration may become his only choice at that point.
On a lighter note – the toaster oven is up for grabs again today as we are closing in on comment #40,000 since the site started. I will be asleep during the day but will do my best to determine the winner, if it happens before I wake up.
I didn’t even go over there to read it, but I immediately thought that this is the way they will probably go. You know he has been paired with Carrie Underwood several times on country award show hostings—not that I watch, just saw bits and pieces when my mom was watching.
