Idol is running a audition tour bus shortly – I heard that they weren’t completely happy with the talent they have seen so far. I believe the regional finals (The “You’re Going to Hollywood!” rounds with the TV judges) happen in September. They happen in the big regional cities. Then there is Hollywood week, at which point they winnow it down to Top 30.
OK seriously – I have spent the last 10 minutes trying to copy a photo of blonde Adam as a young man in a white shirt. Something about it reminds me of the photo Ron just posted of himself as a young man. Can’t copy it or post it here or email it.

That is the biggest hint Adam has given yet! It has to be a job with Idol. Everything else is a show or an appearance.
Adam has been very coy in interviews about this Idol judging rumor. We are so conditioned to Adam always getting the bum’s rush but deserving so much more.

My mother loved to sing and she had a very nice voice riskylady but she didn’t pursue it professionally.

I actually would love to see Adam in a permanent mentoring position on idol. I think he could help the contestants even more in that capacity than being a judge. But I don’t know if that job would start in September.

Adam judging somewhere else? I’m not sure how I feel about that. It could be a good career move to get him better known, but I wouldn’t be able to watch him on my TV every week.

We have to remember that these comments about a job in September that is a secret came from conversations with fans. I think Adam doesn’t think that what he says to fans overseas will make it back to the US and around the world. He should know this, but sometimes…

mj had a thread about Pharrell Williams and the general comments were that he’s not well known enough, too quiet, but talented… things like that. Guess we’ll see if he shows up at the auditions! But there were guest stars at the auditions, weren’t there? They sat along side JLo/Steven& Randy.
Who can put together a list of the people we’ve heard of so far?
I guess Adam surely knows his fans find out every piece of info he gives in any country… Glamberts are good at sharing Adam-related info
He gives hints to keep everyone alert! I think that certain medias follow Glamberts too to know what’s going on around Adam!
You’re right Oksana, he knows what he’s doing, but there are those times when he lets something slip. I don’t think every word out of his mouth is calculated.

I know Oksana but the difference is this article states he’s confirmed he’s the new judge with his close associates. But, I always remember weeks before “Trespassing” was released, this seemingly genuine, honest guy (I think he said he was an intern at a radio station?) gave detailed, lengthy descriptions of the songs, the rhythms, Adam’s voice. He kept reassuring everyone of his sincerity, he was telling the truth and how much we were going to love the album.
The only part he got right was that we were going to love the album but that was a pretty safe bet. Everything he said to describe the album was so far off he made it all up.
It’s hard to know who or what to believe anymore.
But then, maybe there’s more than the 2 judging positions open.

Could be 4 judges or Randy may move to another capacity.
haha there was a comment on 24/7 that suggested Adam went platinum because FYE is now certified platinum. Haven’t heard that. So many rumors.
When I think of a “new job”, I think of something different that will be happening on a regular basis. I don’t feel that Adam would consider additional Queen performances in the US as a “new job”. As a matter of fact, I don’t feel that he would consider any performance as a “new job”. Therefore, my mind immediately gravitates toward the Idol position that was never debunked by Adam, which always puzzled me. If the rumors are true about Pharrell’s involvement, I couldn’t be happier because both he and Adam would make an unbelievable judging panel. Luval, I think I know what you mean. It is all almost too much of a coincidence to be true!
I just returned from a week out of town at the beach. My “catching up” strategy is to read comments backwards (beginning from the most recent) — August has been a busy month here at ALL!!
I for one am keeping my expectations re Idol very low, but Adam certainly is the biggest tease on the planet.
I just think it being Idol is too obvious. He knows we are all waiting on pins and needles for a decision on Idol. I just feel it has to be something else.
Plus they have already signed Mariah, if Adam was for sure, why would he have to keep it secret.
