With the great news in March, April will be a time to settle in and prepare for the Queen + Adam Lambert tour ahead. We still have one more episode of Glee on April 1st and that will be it for Adam on Season 5. Now it’s back to making new music in Sweden and rehearsing classic Queen songs most likely in England. Lots of work to do before they hit the stage in Chicago on June 19th!

    I agree jlurks. I think sometimes, because she’s English, she can be misinterpreted. I’m grateful Adam has any and all help he can get putting his name/face/info out there.

    With no more Adam/Glee episodes and Adam off in Europe making and rehearsing music, I thought that we might come up with an ALL-preferred Queen+AL set list to keep us occupied during this quiet period.

    You would choose and rate the Queen songs that you would like to hear live. Promote deep cuts in the monthly thread if you think others would like them.
    I would create a spreadsheet where you can enter your ratings and after a few weeks, would tally the results to get a Top 25 songs.
    From there you would then choose your favorite video to go along with the songs even it Adam did not perform it. I would then create a thread with the set list and the top videos selected by you.

    If this sounds like something that you would like me to set up, please let me know.
    Whether you are going to every concert or none, you are ALL welcome to participate!
    Or if you have any other ideas to keep the thread active…

    I think there’s a better, clearer video of this out there, but can anyone imagine the current crop of contestants on Idol doing anything close to this? Not just talking about Adam, although… well, you know – but all of them were just having so much fun, and did a pretty decent job of the dancing. So much talent that year!

    Where is aely ? I haven’t seen her much lately.
    aely and some more ALLer’s are Queen fans. They can help educate us on Queen.

    I’ll submit some of the songs I’d like to see them perform later.

    The other day when someone mentioned the song “TEO TORRIATTE (LET US CLING TOGETHER)”, I was very happy.
    It’s one of my favorites. It’s on my ipod for a few years now.
    But then I was busyin RL so I didn’t respond to the post.
    I’ve been listening to Queen “The Platinum Collection” that I got for my birthday. Will see which songs are my fav.

    Thanks asif! That’s the one. Makes me kind of sad to see what seems to me to be a real decline in overall talent at Idol. But that’s just my opinion.

    Did my exercises today to the Hammersmith video Jlurks sent me. Those DVDs and the CD are getting a lot of exercise themselves, come to think of it. My husband found a bunch of Queen records and CDs at garage sales ever since we got tickets to the San Jose show (so exited!)so I need to check these out for possible nominations to AL‘s list. It’s a great idea!
