With the great news in March, April will be a time to settle in and prepare for the Queen + Adam Lambert tour ahead. We still have one more episode of Glee on April 1st and that will be it for Adam on Season 5. Now it’s back to making new music in Sweden and rehearsing classic Queen songs most likely in England. Lots of work to do before they hit the stage in Chicago on June 19th!

    Dear AL, a very happy birthday to you (and many many many more!), and Happy Easter to those who celebrate.

    AL, reporting in that I finished my Queen homework last night. Whew! It was fun listening to some songs chosen by others too, a couple I recognized but hadn’t heard in a while (i.e. One Vision LOVED IT) and others completely new.
    Wondering if our resident Queen experts could tell me, songs like Scandal, It’s Late, Walk the Wild Wind seem to have certain special Freddie connections (from comments on the vids). Would it be bad if Adam sang them? Did Rodgers sing them?

    OMG that Mad World was really beautiful, and wisely he chose just piano and no guitar. And the intro quieted the kids down so they listened – his voice sounded just exquisite.
    I thought from the vids and info we have he did a great job. The selfie-Trespassing for the birthday girl was a really precious touch to have on her phone. Nice that he was given this opportunity, and proved he can entertain this age group perfectly.
    Sad that some on Twitter were judging this young girl and her family. I would hire him in a minute if I had the money! And we know nothing of her, why he is her idol and what issues she may have had. Health? She could be gay, other types of challenges.
    Also I was sad to see once again calls to dump his band. Geez, he loves them. Does he need virtuosos up there for the type of gigs he’s been doing? I thought they were fine NYE, and Tommy on Red House was good. Nice new arrangements for some songs.
    We’ll see what happens with the new music, I guess.

    And, post ho continues. The Kaulitz idiots polluting Adam’s Facebook last night were 3 loons in Spanish, who this morning also took over the Instagram comments too, arguing with each other. EXTREMELY rude in Spanish, should be banned. The people on Facebook went after them, including a few guys in Spanish too, lol.
    They’re from Argentina, btw, per their Instagram bios. They’re a nasty bunch, I remember them from those old MTVOMA thingies on Twitter.

    I agree luval, about Brian. He takes liberties, and can invade a street vibe, when not needed.

    The only keyboardist I ever liked was Zach. Fantasy Springs is just soooo good! Music Note In Love

    Sleepwalker should have been a single, and played vigorously on the radio. It makes me so mad, that this great song & vocals was not heard over the radio!!!!!! Pissed Off Really Pissed

    This travesty is similar to the ticket scalper’s, and the inner workings of program director’s. The higher -ups, and the dog eat dog mentality of having a hit song. Total injustice, and it’s all about MONEY!!!

    That Mad world was beautiful, and how great to hear the kids singing along.
    I wonder too what end of the price scale they paid, as not only did they get a fairly long performance, it seems he also did a brunch/meet and greet thing during the day, and photos on the red carpet with people….I’d say they got their moneys worth. And how great that he’s the chosen Idol of a 16yo, and seems to have been for a long time.

    Speaking about Brian speaking, they must have gotten some feedback about that, because I didn’t hear anything from him at the Fontainbleau, or NYE (even though NYE Adam glanced at him a number of times while talking). I think he may have said a couple of words last night, but…different audience lol.
    Don’t remember about Biloxi, mostly just music videos. But I have the sound cloud of NYE and not a peep from Brian.

    Adam is really into the gold now. Those rings have to be worth big bucks.

    This video from August 2010 has always mesmerized me. It’s the entrance into the Cohasset GN tent show. You can move up to about 02:00 when the troupe starts walking in. Adam’s profile near the end when he lifts up that mic and starts singing is stunning.

    Just a thought but Brian didn’t say much at all in the beginning. Then there was that awful moment when Adam left the stage for several minutes and Brian had to take over – in South Africa? Brian’s patter went from terrible to non-existent. Perhaps Adam told him to start talking a bit on stage and get a comfort level. He can be a bit intrusive at times but he’s a good music director. He also has great connections, which is good for the rest of the band in Adam’s off-time.

    Musically, Adam’s best band was Monte/Zack/Tommy/Longineu. His Dad told him not to lose them but sh*t happens. The band he has now is good and the people are very, very nice. What you need on a long tour. Smile

    Agree, TLKC, they are nice and they don’t get in trouble or cause extra grief for Adam, seems none of them are divas and they get along. They don’t leak info about Adam. He seems to like them and they keep him company in all those places away from home. Maybe not perfect, but have improved and maybe will improve more. Adam is loyal, I find it hard to imagine him just sacking someone without major cause.
