With the great news in March, April will be a time to settle in and prepare for the Queen + Adam Lambert tour ahead. We still have one more episode of Glee on April 1st and that will be it for Adam on Season 5. Now it’s back to making new music in Sweden and rehearsing classic Queen songs most likely in England. Lots of work to do before they hit the stage in Chicago on June 19th!

    That coloured photo from last night, looks photoshopped too. The hair looks far brighter than it does in the instagram Adam posted, and the hair line looks wrong.

    The slow and steady movement of Adam’s music is still happening at about the same rate, with a few upward bumps now and then.

    One of the best comments I’ve ever seen on a Q+AL video, re the different styles of Adam and Freddie. Both brilliant, and similar in some ways too, but this description is so perceptive!

    amazing…..what’s fascinating is how two incredible vocalists/entertainers approach these songs ..when Freddie took the stage…it was purposeful…commanding….with Adam…he basically free flows and most often with a wink…unfiltered like his personal life ….commonality …..interpretative genius.

    Actually, I had never watched riddle’s videos of night 2, and they are ALL from this close-up position that night. The other nights he didn’t have such a good vantage point. Going to watch the rest now (already watched the AMAZING TSMGO and BoRhap. WOW! Highly recommended!

    I am Bill Clinton. Being in the same situation as luval regarding marriage, I clicked on “I did not have sexual relations with that woman” in the “How’s your marriage?” section, which probably tipped it to Bill.

    If Adam took this poll, he would probably get Bill, too. Not just because he would answer the marriage question the same way luval and I did.

    A few fans have commented on the fact that Adam’s charm is in the same category as Clinton’s. ITA. Both of them have the knack of looking people in the eye and taking in everything they say. Adam says that he might have been a therapist if he hadn’t been a performer. The most charming thing you can be is interested and engaged in whoever you are talking to.

    IMHO, Clinton was the closest living embodiment of Kaos’s secret weapon in the Maxwell Smart series: Simon the Likeable. No matter what you think of him, he’s so charming in person that you forget everything. Lewis Lapham at Harper’s magazine once wrote an amusing article about falling all over him 30 seconds after meeting him, even though he thoroughly disapproved of him. Can’t help thinking of how Elizabeth Hasselback reacted to Adam when they finally met on The View.

    In both cases, resistance is futile.

    Riddle’s Hammersmith Night 2 are my absolute favourite videos from the entire 2012 Q+AL collaboration, riskylady. I play them on my computer all the time. (I was standing next to riddle that night.)

    Interestingly, they do not work as well on the large-screen TV. The sound distortion is very evident.

    The best videos for sound belong to Ukrainian TV station and iHeart. Both were obviously set up to record the audio from optimum locations.

    God bless lambossessed for taking the best audio from any given night and editing the video from multiple YouTubes of the same. She has put together some amazing recreations of some performances for those who can’t be there.

    I’ve never seen a bubble waffle maker. The smiley face pancake maker would be a huge hit with kids, too. Small size is a good way to cut down on how much you eat.

    The bubble waffle looks like a cone. Could you put ice cream in it?

    Its not a cone TLKC, it comes out flat and round, but then they put it over a mesh stand to cool a bit which bends it in half…I’m not sure if the mixture is exactly the same as an ordinary waffle..could be as most stalls sell both. But with the egg waffle you don’t have any sugar or sauces added…

    I have met both of them, too, luval. I met Clinton when we were in the UK for Adam and Queen. July 11th with angleowal and northern spirit. I just walked right up to him. Shocked the others. Very charismatic in person.

    Adam is quite amazing. One of the more interesting examples of his empathy occurred in the first European promo tour. There is video of him with a fan in Scotland and another one, much later, in Helsinki. In the Helsinki video he asked the fan: “So how are things working out?” He not only remembered her but he remembered what they had talked about and was curious to know if things had turned out alright.”

    How’s that for really listening and caring?

    Aren’t his features extraordinary, luval – an amazing face – his profile, too – just wow. Remember the first time I recognized how truly handsome – not just cute – he was. During TOMT in a closeup he turns his head and I remember a small shock at seeing how incredibly perfect his features were. Also remember a prominent reviewer writing at the same about “his startling movie-style handsomeness.” Think it was the first time he combed his hair back from his face – Paula noted it, too.

    I first noticed the amazing face during Black and White and the camera close ups during the judging. More the eyes, actually and I thought he was cute. I’m trying to think of when I discovered the handsome Adam. I think during the Idol tour there were some shows with his hair back that did me in! I’ll have to think about this for a minute….will get back to ya. Smile
