With the great news in March, April will be a time to settle in and prepare for the Queen + Adam Lambert tour ahead. We still have one more episode of Glee on April 1st and that will be it for Adam on Season 5. Now it’s back to making new music in Sweden and rehearsing classic Queen songs most likely in England. Lots of work to do before they hit the stage in Chicago on June 19th!

    Thats very interesting ulti.….I think that is the first mention on here of the plane since it disappeared…..I have had so many people come up to me and my husband saying ‘so, tell us what happened then, you must know’…he is an aircraft engineer, and they have trouble believing him when he says he doesn’t, nor do any of his colleagues… .
    It took them 2 years to find the black box on the air France plane, even though they found the wreckage after 5 days….

    I saw that depth demo on the CBC news last night, ulti. The ocean is so wide and deep it will be a miracle if they find it before it stops pinging.

    Interesting that we haven’t mentioned the crash of MH370, even in the context of fear of flying and the summer concert tour. Also, Adam spends a lot of time in the air. Plane crashes are rare but news like this always makes you think.

    We haven’t mentioned a lot of recent pop culture moments either. The death of Will on The Good Wife and the death of the mother on How I Met Your Mother. The first was a jaw-dropper. The second made me laugh so hard I nearly choked.

    My sister and her family lived in Hong Kong for many years – she spoke Mandarin (and some Cantonese as I remember). And, I and my gang lived in Taiwan (Air Force) for a couple of years, too. Both places have changed so much in the ensuing decades. Will send this to my sis. Thanks!

    Interesting and helpful information on how to cut yourself out of “reply to all” email chains. Just press the “ignore” button on google or the “mute” button on Microsoft Outlook.

    Sure beats emailing the group, asking them to remove your name from the email string and crossing your fingers. In the case of “Ignore” you can always go in and retrieve the email chain if you want to.

    Mr. Glenn enjoys Glambert but…..I guess he doesn’t think he’s the out musician to balance Mackelmore and Lewis. A forgetful moment in Rolling Stone is more than okay. Rectifying in such a “damning with faint praise” manner is another thing altogether. Just remember this Mr. Glenn: the last time a gay man came out to Rolling Stone before he interviewed with OUT he was pilloried by them for being too honest, too nonchalant and prematurely post-gay about the whole thing. HOW’S THAT FOR PAVING YOUR WAY?

    Riskylady posted, too. Given Tyler’s recent tweet of thanks, it seems that OUT’s editing may have been more of a culprit than it appeared at first.

    TLKC, I think TG surely read your post and all the comments, I mean he used your phrase in quotation marks. And agree with Ulti that he’s getting an education. Bet he didn’t know any of that stuff that went on with Adam, as he was in his little pretend straight bubble. Hope he read up about it, but I do appreciate his use of “remiss” re the RS article.

    Ha, was just rereading the comments and I see two who did not like mine at all. Not going to get into it with them, but I will say that I think it’s very entitled to think that Adam only won the 2014 bachelor thing because of Glambert votes. Is that an honor then? As a bachelor, is that whose interest he would want? I certainly hope some smart gay guys threw some votes in there. Also, if Adam is over his dispute with the mag, so am I, as I follow his lead and no one else’s.
    That goes for his choice of birthday charities and anything else that some fans might wish to hijack. J/s.

    The way I feel about the TG affair is that Adam has been so courageous and steadfast during these five years that strongly believe it’s important and RIGHT to let those uninformed about this wonderful guy know what he’s been through and the remarkable inspiration he’s been to sad people all over the world.

    In case anyone would like to participate one of the women on one of my AL Facebook groups is a psychologist and she’s doing this survey about fandom motivation about Glamberts. The survey is anonymous and she’ll post the results once she has compiled the data. She’s trying to get a large number of Glambert responses so the data will be meaningful so you can spread the survey to other Glamberts also. I participated and I’m really interested in seeing the results.
