Adam has apparently wrapped up his US radio promo tour, at least for the moment, as April begins. Above we see Adam as he spent the last several weeks – hard at work with promo. This is (hopefully) finally the last month – for real – before Adam’s new “Trespassing” album will be released. The album is scheduled to drop on May 15. Will we get a second single ahead of the album release date? Will Adam perform on American Idol sometime in the next several weeks? We’ll know soon – in the meantime enjoy the chat!

    Have some additional (probably wrong – but what the heck) theories of why he tends to wear so many clothes.

    The one is, of course, the “fatty” issue.

    Second – how about it’s the barrier between him and the world that won’t accept him.

    And, third, when you wear beautiful, expensive clothes – particularly jackets – one feels more powerful and in control.

    That’ll be $1.98, please.

    For anyone who has an hour to spare, this keynote speech by Bruce Springsteen at SXSW 2012 is really worth a listen. He goes through the history of Pop music and his influences. And for the Adam connection go to minute 50:26 for the referrence to coming across a no trespassing sign in the great Woody Guthrie’s lyrics to This Land is Your Land ( wonder if Adam ever heard it). Springsteen’s comments after he sang the snippet could have come out of Adam’s mouth.

    It was very much out of character for me to post my comment the other night. I don’t usually impose my troubles upon people in real life let alone friends on a world wide blog. I will admit to feeling a bit embarrassed. But putting that feeling aside for a moment, having only now read through the last several pages, I’m overwhelmed by the tremendous show of caring and kind support. I can’t properly express how much your comments mean to me except to tell you that I’m deeply touched and very grateful. You’ve helped me … and I’m very fortunate to have such thoughtful and loving friends in my life. Thank you very, very much!

    And now, after that brief commercial break, we’re back with the News. Smile

    This article in Entertainment Weekly is four days old, so maybe you already saw it, but Adam is their Golden Boy again. He’s up, he’s down. I can’t figure EW out. They rank Adam at #4 for “American Idol: 15 best 80’s Songs”. For a nice change too, while there are only 5 comments, they are all very positive.

    So I kind of have to share this story from the NNN. As we were leaving, the theater but still in the main seating area, Sauli was ahead of us, standing in a row in between chairs looking back at the stage. This guy in front of us stopped in front of him and said hi. The guy had been in the audience and had screamed “I love you, Adam!” when Adam first came on stage. Anyway, this dude starts really crying and telling Sauli how great of an example out gay celeb couples are. Sauli was so sweet and gave the guy a hug and said thank you. I didn’t want to stop and be awkward so I don’t know how long they talked. But it was so sweet.

    Ron, I am very sorry to hear about the struggle of Gil’s health. And I was frightened to hear that you could slip into depression. I cried.

    Thank you very much for trusting us and went out of your character to share your feeling with us. Ron .. who always makes us smile and laugh and we enjoy your witty posts.

    When I read your post about Gil, I cried and didn’t know what to say. I was afraid that I couldn’t express my heartfelt feeling for you well enough. I want to sound sincere to the contrary I always joke around and write weird English and we never meet (we are virtual friends.) So I waited; knowing that there would be people here who are wise and wonderful and articulate to write kind words to show our love and supports.

    And there are plenty of loving, caring and supporting posts for you from your (virtual) friends here. So I’d like to add my love and support to you with all of those kind and thoughtful comments.

    Just love that HD video! But doesn’t the crowd sound more subdued? I guess it’s just where the speakers are. And I LOVE Sauli’s face too. You can tell he’s so proud & happy.

    I love too the Digidoo video where the woman says “you gave me my life back”. How true for so many people. And look again at the diversity of the crowd outside of the radio station. All sizes, shapes, ages, colors & sexes!

    Hi Ron,
    Somewhat late to the party, but wanted to add my 2 cents (Canadian, of course!) to the chorus of supporters wishing you love and support during this stressful time. Gil is lucky to have such a wonderful, caring and witty partner. Although I don’t know Gil, and I’ve only met you during the St. Agathe adventure, I’m fairly sure his silence stemmed from his initial desire not to worry you, and not to exclude you. Then unfortunately, the silence takes on a life of its own, and somehow, there is never a “right” time to raise the subject, especially if some time has passed.
    You are both fortunate to have each other, and I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. I wish him a speedy recovery and all the best to both of you. Take care.

    Since I’m a big Sauli fan would one of you more technically talented go to U-Tube and visit videos by The Eriskay. There is one called Happy Birthday Sauli that was posted at MJ’s and I loved it. There are also some animated ones there also. They seemed to be so happy at the NNN award show. What a great looking couple. NKD or CMW I know you can help me.
