Al, thank you, I think I am getting more confident I might even become a post ho. I have been keeping my thoughts to myself for so long.
I have been meaning to do this for months, but am now joining the ranks of de-lurkers. I did post recaps on MJ’s each time I saw Adam live, on the Idol tour and my 4 GNT shows. I also posted randomly during the GNT tour, but have not posted since then. After the GNT tour ended, I really missed all of your comments and links to all things Adam. So I was quite happy to find this blog last August. I still check for Adam headlines on MJ’s, but, like the rest of you here, have not been happy with the tone of many of the comments on the Adam threads. I love the friendliness and exchange of ideas on this site. It’s also comforting to know that I am in good company with my Adam obsession.
I haven’t seen Adam live since the GNT and have been trying desperately to find a show that doesn’t conflict with my work or family obligations. I seriously considered going to London to see Adam with Queen, but decided against it for a number of reasons. (I am hoping for a show on this side of the pond or at least during the off season when the plane fares are less.) So I was really happy to see that Adam was headlining a show in Wilkes Barre. I went to the 1st Wilkes Barre show by myself and had a fabulous time. It’s a 4 hour drive for me, but it’s a beautiful little theater with a nice hotel a block away. I joined the Kirby to buy tickets at the presale, and then realised I was going to be a plane when the presale started. I called my 23 year old son, who is also an Adam fan, and got him to call to get me a ticket. It took him an hour to get through, but he finally did and got me a good seat. It’s not within eye beam range, but is definitely adequate. My son just earned some major points with me for that effort. So, I’m looking forward to meeting some of you at this concert. Since my son couldn’t come, I decided to go by myself. I’ll have more fun befriending other Glamberts than I would trying to entertain one of my less enthusiastic friends.

I, too, lurked for the longest time on Adam threads at MJs and then here. When I first started posting my avatar name was AL Lurker. After I began to post on a regular basis, baebae, a favorite poster from the past, said that I either had to go back to lurking or change my name. That is why I’m just plain AL now.

Gad! I watched Idol tonight to hear the Queen songs. The Show Must Go On was absolutely dreadful, and the judges loved it. Now I remember why I stopped watching Idol faithfully after Simon left. Also, who is their right mind would try to sing a song that Adam sang so magnificently only 6 months ago? I need to watch the EMA performance several times now to erase that bad image from my brain.
So, it seems that some of us are sharing the same thoughts and concerns..
Hmmmm. Adam COULD film Kimmel in the morning/afternoon and then pop over to Idol to rehearse and meet with Queen ( I mean really, are Roger and Brian going to be in LA and NOT meet with Adam, c’mon) and then surprise everyone with a performance with Queen.
Remember the EMA’s? He wasn’t on the performance roster, and not announced?
I agree, Idol wouldn’t want to miss out on promoting an Adam performance, but, you never know!!! He has been rather cagey about the date.
Oh, and if Carmit is at the AOL taping, does that mean that she is helping with some choreography?
An Idol Queen/Adam performance would be fun, but I’d much rather have Adam’s Idol appearance be used for promoting his own single rather than Queen’s music. Now maybe, just maybe, he will be on twice — once as a surprise with Queen and the other announced for Trespassing??? Although I highly doubt it happening, that would be the perfect scenario! This whole Idol appearance thing is seeming rather strange in the fact that we are almost into the month of May with no date as of yet.

I don’t think he’s wearing the McQueen blue shirt. It looks like light effects. When you look where the jacket opens, the shirt looks khaki colored to me.
