Adam has apparently wrapped up his US radio promo tour, at least for the moment, as April begins. Above we see Adam as he spent the last several weeks – hard at work with promo. This is (hopefully) finally the last month – for real – before Adam’s new “Trespassing” album will be released. The album is scheduled to drop on May 15. Will we get a second single ahead of the album release date? Will Adam perform on American Idol sometime in the next several weeks? We’ll know soon – in the meantime enjoy the chat!

aely, it’s great to know we have another Texas rep on here!
    TexasWannaHoldEm lives up there too!

  2. ultimathule says:

Thanks, nkd – will start checking the stations.

  3. AL says:

Any suggestions as to what stations to call in the Greater Washington, D.C. area?

This is a list of radio stations across the US and Canada and how to politely request them to play NCOE. There are a few for the DC area in various formats – Top 40 and HAC.

I feel you riskylady! It’s hard work being an Adam fan, but so worth it! Now if the radio peeps would just get it!

  5. cwm says:

Welcome aely! Yay another de-lurker! It’s fun to meet you all! Smile

  6. Ceddies says:

Ok, I found out Adam will be on Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday, April 26. Answered my own question. Only took a couple of clicks. I was just being lazy I guess.

    G’nite all.

  7. AL says:

I get weekly updates from All Access/Media base about what is happening on Top 40, HAC and AC – the radio formats where we are most likely to hear Adam music.

This week on HAC, Adam (NCOE) is in the Top 10 adds, Top 10 Taking Off and is listed under “Cool New Music” in both AC and HAC. Not bad for the first week without official adds.

But what scares me is that Lionel Ritchie w/Shania Twain singing “Endless Love” had the largest spin increase on AC. Wut?!?! Struggle

And I just want to add my welcome to all the new posters who have come out of lurkdom!

  8. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

New here also… but am happy to say they played ncyoe twice in Dallas today.

Hi aely ***waving enthusiastically!!** So happy to have you here! I live in Denton – can’t wait to hear NCOE on 102.9 – Adam always sounds so great on the radio. Grin

  9. josephine says:

Thank you for all the welcomes and feel warm and fuzzy already.Unfortunately or not I live in the way northern part of California and don’t have access to any radio stations but will request on any that are posted–anyway to help our wonderful Adam!!!!!!!!

  10. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

AL, this is great news! Have to admit that I’ve never quite figured out the radio requesting thing – sort of tried last go around but I’m gonna be a real pest this time! Facebook, text, twitter, (even the old-fashioned phone!) – I’m gonna werk Cool

  11. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

Hi Josephine! Welcome to our warm, comfy site. Hope you’ll “speak up” and have fun flailing, squeeing and angsting with the rest of us – the more the merrier! Smile

  12. josephine says:

Going to do some research on requesting play on stations on facebook as this seems doable and may open up some other doors-life is a learning experience since I became a fan!!!

  13. cwm says:

Hey Josephine – I live in Oregon, so it’s nice to have another west coast ~neighbor Smile

  14. Miss Chaos says:

Hey Josephine, I am in Northern CAlifornia too, what city are you in?? Welcome all the new posters, this is exciting! Grin

  15. turquoisewaters says:

Welcome to all the new friends!
I am considering making a crazy dash for Wilkes-Barre, so please, those of you that have extra tickets, save one for me!
But many things would have to work out, including me NOT coming to my senses.

  16. nkd says:

Don’t come to your senses turquoisewaters! What fun is that? It would be great if you came to WB!
glambotgram and/or sparkle may have a ticket to spare.

  17. rs says:

Welcome to all the lurkers who have come out recently. It took me about 8 months to get the courage to post on MJs, especially in order to try and make contact with another poster who I suspected also lived in my little country which is an Adam wasteland. In addition to having this great haven where I can flail and talk Adam to my heart’s desire with like minded souls, I have made a fantastic group of friends from all over the world who I have met and travelled with.

About the M&Gs, after cher got mine for me, I spent weeks thinking of what I wanted to tell Adam. I ended up writing a letter which I put into the gift I gave him. It was one of the earlier M&Gs so there was more time, but there was so much I wanted to tell him that he barely got a word in edgewise. lol. But we did have a real conversation. I showed him my gift (a hamsa) with a photo I had taken of Robert Indiana’s Love sculpture in Hebrew at sunset glued to the box, and he did laugh in response to something I said, and that was so delightful, it almost (but not really) made up for the lack of a hug. I think that I would have been to shy to ask for something as intimate as a hug. (In the picture he has his arm around my shoulder but I can’t remember the feeling. sob). I kept talking and they had to drag me away. We definitely had a few minutes together. If I ever get the chance again, I want to take the time to just look and experience being close to him.

  18. HK fan says:

welcome to all the new posters, how exciting to have lots of new names.

I think NCOE got 5 HAC adds and 1 top40 add this week.

  19. cocoglam says:

Cher-Do you still know someone who has an extra ticket for Jimmy Kimmel? I would love to go, and live pretty close, and could use a Live Adam fix!

  20. glambotgram says:

turquoise YES YES YES I have tickets I will save you one. Don’t come to your senses. Would love to meet you along with everyone else here.

  21. Northern Spirit says:

    welcome aely!

nkd, so glad you had quality time with Adam. If I get another chance at a M&G, I’ll try to be more composed. It all seemed so surreal, and I don’t remember much of the moment, but I often reflect back at the hug I got and remember it clearly.

One thing I obsessed about before the M&G was what to wear! What to wear in that photo with Adam! I ended up taking a few things down with me to Hartford and had my friends chose for me, LOL. Ended up wearing a white leather jacket, which will never be washed now Smile

I just don’t get it either, about radio play. Do other artist’s fans have to work this hard get their favourite artist on the radio? What’s with that?

There’s a website called Adam Storm you can go to for requesting information. Scroll down to the second Trespassing photo and there are links to your part of the world, with instructions on how to request http://adamlambertstorm.com/

  22. dcglam says:

Any suggestions as to what stations to call in the Greater Washington, D.C. area?

    ultimathule
I plan to concentrate my efforts on the three radio stations that Adam visited during his most recent promo tour here in DC (Mix 107.3, Fresh 94.7, and Hot 99.5).

    Have a good day, everyone!Smile

  23. dcglam says:

I pulled these “tips for requesting” from Northern Spirit’s link above (written by Toby Knapp)…

Fans who want their local stations are reminded to do the following when asking for support from local pop stations…

    1) Make sure you live in the area the station serves. Stations in Florida know when fans from Denmark request, and fans from Ohio know when fans from Texas are hitting them up with requests for the song! And, as such, they don’t really count because they’re not from the area the station serves! If you’re from a certain area, make sure you tell ’em that up front!

    2) Buy the single! Soundscan records everything, sales figures are important tools for record companies as they work radio station programmers to play the song.

    3) Blow up local station FACEBOOK and TWITTER FEEDS with requests… and engage. Post a post on the local FACEBOOK page. Then, have friends like, and comment. This helps in two ways: one – programmers see the conversation and two, it helps the radio station meet goals for engagement and likes, and interactions, which they no doubt have as the monetization of the medium continues to evolve.

    4) Be polite and courteous. Understand there are many factors involved in airplay decisions, not just requests. The quickest way to tank an artist on a radio station is to, bluntly, be a douche-bag about your desires. Remember, you get more bees with honey…

    Good luck!

  24. eywflyer says:

Good morning, just wanted to repost the link to our sales/airplay info page:
    http://www.adamlambertlive.org/2012/trespassing-salesairplay-info

I’ve now stopped tracking BTIKM (which is plummeting downward on the Hot AC chart) and started tracking NCOE on this page. It’s first chart appearance that I have access to is at #192 on the Top 40/Pop chart (because an insider periodically posts #51-200 from that chart on a certain message board). Given that the song has been added to 5 Hot AC stations, I’m sure it is on that chart too at some level, but not yet in the top 50 that I can see on Mediabase.

I hope that RCA “officially” sends this song for adds soon. They need to if it’s going to significantly help early album sales.

I also want to thank you all again for your very generous contributions over the past few days. With your help, our site will now be able to keep running for a long time to come.

eywflyer, thank YOU for YOUR very generous contributions of the time and insight and initiative that made this site HAPPEN! <3
It will be such a pleasure to see you again at Wilkes Barre!

Watching Kelly LIve and the playout to commercial was NCOE. It shocked me. Not like hearing it on radio but cool non-the-less.

  27. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

Wow, apal123 – that would’ve shocked me too, of course in a good way!

  28. little dutchess says:

glambotgram thanks for telling me about the tkts you have left for WB. I’m sort of in the same boat as Turquoisewaters…not sure if I can come up and need to arrange and rearrange lots of things to do so. So don’t know now/yrt …but am thinking….

Just Jared has an article on Adam on the cover of “Instinct” magazine. Great picture and some interesting quotes. Would like to get the mag – it’s out now.

  30. Ceddies says:

Confession: I just caved. Had.to.hear.Underneath. Just once, and I closed it out again. Hopefully I can hold out for a few more days. Will see. Struggle

Good morning MISS CHAOS–I live in a very small town near beautiful Mt. Shasta and I call myself a “mountain lady” as we are surrounded by the most glorious scenery and have never been able to leave. I did manage to see Adam in Sacramento for one of his Glam performances (front row) and still tingle from the memories. How close are we???

  32. riskylady says:

Here’s part of the Instinct article, with a phone number at the bottom to order, if not available locally.

  33. Miss Chaos says:

Hey Josephine I live in Cottonwood, small town south of Redding, probably an hour from Mt Shasta, what is the name of your town. I have never been to a Adam concert, but then again I can say I have been to them all, lol, as I watch every live stream, or watch videos after, and usually contribute some sort of snack during Live Streams, lol. Maybe we can meet up someday, I moved to California a year ago from Florida, long haul, and big change in my life. Waving

  34. ultimathule says:

Just ordered Instinct – $5.95. Article looks very interesting.

  35. ultimathule says:

Went into 99.5, 107.3, and 94.7 in D.C. area – posted on Facebook, Twitter and anything else I could find. I was delightfully polite. Will do it again tomorrow.

  36. ultimathule says:

Sent the twitter/facebook info to all my relatives and told them to post, too. And their friends – lol.

  37. riskylady says:

LOL this is this morning’s interview with Adam and the station hosting the radio concert on the 20th. Happened at 4:35 am Adam-time. Hmmmm, I wonder if he got up or just stayed up?

First time to post ever. I am not confident in my writing skills, you are all so clever and funny. Been lurking since GNT at MJ’s. I met some of you at the Costa Mesa dinner before the first concert. Another first time to go to a concert by myself. I enjoy you all so much. Adam brings such excitement in my life.

  39. ultimathule says:

    He sounded sleepy and sexy.

  40. Kradamour says:

Hi, firsttimerob! Welcome! No literary skilz needed to come play with us!
Looking forward to your comments and posts!

Everything good is blocked here at school…sleepy and sexy?
    Instinct magazine?
    blocked blocked blocked

And no access to emoticons so I can illustrate my frustration…!!!

An interesting thing I am noting on the ticket resale sites (not blocked, go figure). There are still OK seats available for the casual fan on Ticketmaster, but the really good ones are asking substantially higher prices than glamnation tickets. Unbelievable prices for a simple radio promo event with a relatively short set by Adam.
I really hope that this isn’t a portent of things to come: cutthroat and expensive competition for the best seats, but still playing the smaller venues because the ticket sales are primarily focused on these “rabid fan” seats.
That would make beaucoup bucks for the resellers, but not so much for Adam. Frown

  41. firstimerob says:

Why is that (Click to edit) Request Deletion under my comment never posted before in the learning process

  42. nkd says:

    Hi firsttimerob. Welcome!
You will see the “click to edit” and “request deletion” under your post so that you may perform those tasks if needed.

Please jump in the conversation without worrying about the depth of your posts or writing skills.
Some of us wade in the shallow end most of the time!

  43. Ceddies says:

Welcome, firstimerob. I’ll add to what nkd said by letting you know that you are the only one who can see the Click to Edit and Request Deletion because you are only one who can perform those tasks. Others can’t see that, only the person posting.

  44. josephine says:

MISS CHAOS–How exciting!!! You live about an hour away from me as I live in Dunsmuir about 45 minutes from Redding. Would LOVE to meet you, as I said before, I find it so hard to keep my feelings under control at times for Adam and I get tired of the “eye rolls” and rude comments from some people. But nothing can change my true admiration for this man and what he has done for me!!!! Rant over—-

  45. Ceddies says:

Just thought about it that I need/want to welcome all the former lurkers to our playground. Don’t be strangers, as they say! Keep joining in.

  46. riskylady says:

LOL nkd, “some of us”? You are generous! Evil Grin
