About Stubhub, I posted these thoughts during GN, I have mixed feelings. Part of me says that they are vultures, scalpers, money-grubbing, etc.
But, part of me says Thanks. I used Stubhub for three of my shows, and got excellent seats. I paid a relatively high cost for 2 of them ( Hawaii ), but less than 75 bucks for Peoria, and I was in the front row, center.
Now, front row center for any other show would be much more than $75. But, Adam priced his shows very reasonably. Even the Hawaii shows were low cost. But, as usual, so many of the best seats were only available on Stubhub. If it weren’t for Stubhub, I couldn’t have gone to Hawaii. And, my thinking on it was that I wasn’t going to Hawaii and have nosebleed seats.
However, the day of the show, prices went down. Way down.
So, mixed thoughts here.

I have to agree with you, Kradamour, that the prices on Stubhub are ridiculous. The sad part is that they know they can charge (and receive) those prices. That is what keeps them in business. As long as what they are doing is legal and profitable, it will keep happening. Sadz, but true.
I am not worried about the seemingly low ticket sales for the WB show:
1. It is still early with a month to go.
2. Is Adam actually headlining this show? I know he is listed with two other performers, so each may be receiving one third of the billing. Thoughts?
3. There is competition going on right now with the Queen gigs and other radio promos.
4. It seems that a number of peeps bought group tickets with each member of the group securing a set. I know this happened right here on our playground. They are now putting the extras up for sale.
5. Many peeps are saving their $ and time for the real deal (The Trespassing Tour). This WB show seems to be pretty small potatoes in comparison.
These are JMHO. I have no fear that the Trespassing Tour will do well!
Has anyone heard more information about a third Queen/Adam concert in London?

Well, have to say if I were going to a radio gig, it would be the Wilkes-Barre one. Didn’t the radio people tweet that Adam’s set would be 45 minutes, and he is headlining with just two other “guests” – sounds good to me.
Maybe it will sell out as soon as the album gets some play at the other concerts.

I think it’s getting more and more difficult to find a venue – the Hammersmith itself may not even be available. So much going on there – Wimbledon, Queen’s Jubilee (all year events), Olympics and all the special events and concerts they are having starting back in February – art exhibits, theater, concerts up and down the Thames every night. Plus, there are still tickets for 11th and 12th on secondary sites, and even some of us may have an extra or two.
Whoa, those are hefty prices on StubHub, Kradamour! In a way, I have this hate-love (mostly hate) feeling towards scalpers and these reseller sites, much like mils does. It just isn’t right these people make a business out of snapping up (how they do this, I don’t know) good seats and selling them at outrageous prices. But because they do go in and deplete the resources, I’m left with nothing good to buy and am glad I have this other option. But I wouldn’t pay that price for Adam. I couldn’t. Mind you, I’m flying to England and staying 13 days, so I guess money’s no issue there LOL…but it’s Queen + ADAM! I can’t miss this. Plus a trip thrown in. Life is good.
Welcome gammaglam, josephine. Wow, lots of new folks crossing that threshold out of lurkdom this week. Great stuff. It took me all of 1 day to shed my shyness back in 2009 and interact with other Adam folks. Back then, it was on the Women on the Web, site where AQD, Xena and Juneau got their start. I’ll never forget those early days.
I agree riskylady that is why I picked this one out of all the other ones. Only 3 performers and he is the featured artist.

We had the same problem here with Gaga tickets, her show sold out within 40 mins, so they added a 2nd, then a 3rd, then a 4th (its very unusual for shows to sell out in HK), within hours tickets were up on the web for upto $8,000, now I would have loved to have seen Gaga, but no way will I pay those prices.Tickets were limited to 8 per person, but the scalpers pay Filipinos to stand in the queue,(overnight if necessary), and pay cash for their tickets to get them quickly.

I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for Adam to be on Insider tonite. Seems that he was bumped AGAIN, even tho TV Guide shows him to be on.

I don’t think I told you all that I had a M&G with Adam at the Russian Lady in Hartford in March. My friend Ellen’s husband was a co-sponsor of the event that night and gave her 10 tickets to do what she wanted with. I was one of the lucky chosen, along with Xena, AQD, Juneau and others who you wouldn’t know. (Our friendship on the web goes back to 2009. ) What a rush that day was. I drove down with Xena on Monday, the M&G and performance was on Tuesday and we drove back on Wednesday. We were given front row standing for the performance and we took the tail end of the line that went in to meet Adam afterwards.
This M&G experience takes some practice. I definitely want to do this again, with the hopes of doing it right this time. For those of you going in a month’s time, here are a couple of things to keep in mind:
• plan what you want to say to Adam in advance because they have you moving so quickly (like cattle) and put pressure on you to keep your interaction short, that you’ll be flustered and won’t remember what you wanted to say to Adam
• They likely won’t let you bring something in to have Adam sign (but you can try anyway) because it slows down the M&G, but if you have something you want to give to Adam, make sure you tell them that and that it’s not for signing. They may even have you put your item in a pile with the promise that they’ll give it to Adam (and they do). If you want to make sure you give him your gift personally, make it small so it can escape notice by the security or people managing the event.
• Keep calm and ignore what the officials are saying about hurrying up. Just do your thing, maintain your composure and take your time with Adam
• They may tell you that you’ll have to go in to meet Adam in twos—therefore you get a photo with Adam with another person in it. Happened to me because I followed the rules, and did what they told me to. But when I went and had a look at the M&G photos afterwards, there were many people that were alone with Adam in their photos. How did that happen?!? Just stand your ground and hang back….somehow meet Adam alone if you can.
The guys (goons), actually they were bouncers, corralling us into the photo-taking area to meet Adam were unnecessarily rude and overbearing. They could have used a course in emotional intelligence. Geez.
Needless to say, I need another go at this. But Adam was so nice. I couldn’t help but have this huge smile on my face. He thanked me for coming and I shook his hand, and at least I didn’t forget about one thing, the thing I wanted most…..A HUG. So after our photo shoot, I asked if I could get a hug, and he said “for sure!” Doesn’t take much to make me happy
By the way, congratulations on that M & G, glambotgram! Northern Spirit seems to have some good pointers. I am guilty of letting the officials hurry me along before I was good and ready.

). This was in Paris so a bit different… We were allowed to have something signed and I think he was happy I spoke English and came from so far!
But whatever you do you must look into those eyes! You will never ever forget this. He has always said he looks at a person’s eyes. He’s one of those people that for a split second he makes you feel like you’re the only person on earth. Only one other person did this to me…bill Clinton lol!

Nothern Spirit, ITA with your pointers. My first M&G was too fast because I had M&G “fail”. I was flustered and nearly speechless. I walked away way too quickly, and later realized that I could have stayed longer. Oh well, he signed some stuff for me, touched my chest while admiring my necklace ( be still my beating heart ), and admired mlg’s posters. I felt it was a “fail” because I really didn’t get eye contact.
My second one, I thought and planned what I wanted to say, had my hands on his tats, talked about the tats, he signed no less than 6 things for me, looked in his eyes, hugged, gah!! M&G = WIN!!

I meant to look in his eyes, but the strangest thing happened, the room seemed so dark when I walked in and I was so nervous that I did my usual (not look at anyone’s eyes) and managed to say “I’m so pleased to meet you”, totally forgetting what I had planned to say…”I’ve come all the way from Canada, and I’ve been a fan for so long, and I’ll see you in London (that should get his attention)…” Never happened. I’m just glad I had the presence of mind to ask for a hug before I walked away.
I say the room was dark when I walked in, but Xena says it glowed brightly… very strange. Two very different perceptions.

Ok, so I tweeted two & e-mailed one of my local radio stations to have them play NCOE. This is just sickening that we have to beg and I can feel the angst Adam may have from that tweet. Someway, somehow this song has to be played!
So if Adam is tweeting to request NCOE, does that mean its gone to radio. I haven’t seen anywhere, not even MJ’s, who usually has all that info, that its gone for adds, or an adds date coming up. although it did get 5 adds this week, which I thought was pretty good, considering I didn’t think it officially had an add date yet.
Mils, last I heard, he was rumoured to be on top 5 week, may3rd?

Whenever Adam makes his Idol appearance, I want the focus to be on Trespassing, not on Queen.
I think Adam’s tweet is a signal that NCOE has been serviced to radio and we should start requesting, even if the adds dates aren’t this week. I’m guessing adds dates will be in the next week or two?
I remember with BTIKM, he tweeted us about starting to request it before the adds date as well. Maybe they want songs to have some momentum from requests before the adds dates so that radio stations will be more likely to consider adding them.

Going to request NCOE here, even though Miami is a wasteland of rap & crap.
But I have to say: It is annoying that, for example, some Canadian Idol girl who has no fanbase down here to call and beg for her, gets tons of ADDS (Carly whatever) and gets played and heard; same with some others, they just get added mysteriously. Why oh why do Adam’s fans have to beg?
And, how is it that his songs get good radio play outside the US? They get heard, and they get liked. (Except in the UK, up to now.)
