Really like the cover pic for NCOE. Noticed that the “O’s” in “Close” and “Our” are solid shapes – rather like his sunglasses. (Part of the “R’s” are solid, too – like it.)
Hi guys. I’m just stopping by to say hello since I seem to have been on another planet for the past few days. I have a few days’ reading to catch up on; but it’s late, so I will leave that for tomorrow.
I did watch the NNN Awards on Monday night and thoroughly loved Our Man’s performance—as well as the band, etc. That was the first time I had seen/heard Trespassing and actually liked it. It will be a fun song for live shows.

I feel like I should clarify one of my earlier posts. When I said earlier that I “don’t give a rip what the skeptics are saying on MJs about ‘caving,'” I didn’t mean to suggest that I didn’t care about the opinion of those of you here (like Miss Chaos or Kradamour) who expressed concerns about NCOE. I just meant that I have stopped worrying about whether opinions expressed at MJs reflect any more than the opinions of people in the idol bubble, which they don’t. Opinions expressed at MJs don’t necessarily reflect the opinions of radio PDs, DJs, or the radio listening and music buying public. That’s all I meant. I hope no one here took offense!

I wondered if the Hammersmith Apollo was the Odeon, saw Franjie goes to Hollywood there, and a one time special screening of Star wars, The Empire strikes back and Return of the Jedi there.We had extremely numb bums from sitting in the cinema for 7 hours, great atmosphere though.
I wonder why Adams fansite is not getting preorders only the Queen fansite?
Awesome news about the Queen concerts. I justified not going before by saying to myself that, since they were part of a festival, they’d only be doing a few songs. Now that they’re doing a WHOLE CONCERT, I’m really tempted! Hubby likes Queen so I think I’ll have to ask at least! I was laid off last June so $ is a bit tight. On the other hand, I could go to the miniconcert if I extended my stay in LA or could go with luval to the Philly Springle. Or keep hoping for Leno on the 23rd (yes, nkd, it was me). Decisions, decisions! I love it!!!
So now I have to decide whether to change my airline ticket home yet again (and pay the cancellation fees again). I was originally scheduled to leave the UK on July 2nd. Will wait and see what the other members of the entourage say. We have a couple of days before we decide.
London. Not a huge festival hot mess but a real concert. (exhales) and my friend just told me yesterday – out of the blue – that she would like to go with me if Queen and Adam ever play together in a concert.
Can the universe get any more aligned?

We haven’t heard anything from glambertha since Knebworth was cancelled, have we? That was such a huge event for her, and a birthday present! I hope she knows about the new concerts in London.

CWMOf course no offense about your earlier post. I sometimes need people to straighten me out. I do like the new snippet for the song. I hope the whole song is going to be better.
Here are my thoughts that I had when the new song was decided. As I laid in bed last nite, I know I should be trying to sleep, but Adam seems to slip in sometimes.
Adam made this incredible Album, that he was so hyped on, about the dark and light side of him. He wrote or was involved with writing and picking the songs, his journey. The album was set to come out, but wait a minute, someone he supposedly respected very much (Bruno) came along and said here is this song, do you want it ( or thats how I think it came down lol) And album is held up for this new great song, according to Adam. Now all these great songs that Adam loved were pushed to the background for this new song, (that I personally dont think is all that great, just attached to Bruno) and then he puts out snippets of these songs for us to hear, which by polls were liked over NCOE, we all fell in love with different ones, TP, NL, Cockoo, and my absolute favorite (not in the running, Chokehold). Then NCOE is picked, I just dont see where it falls in the scheme of things for the album, seems like its out of place for Adams idea of this album. This is all speculation on my part, but some of the reasons I am not happy with what they did. BUT if it is a hit, for Adam and they play it, and we get to hear some of the other songs I am all for it. I think BTIKM should have been a bigger hit, but it wasnt. I really want this to go good for Adam this time, so he isnt put in the same bracket of all the other Idols with their second Albums. Make sense??? I always want my favorite to e a winner, and people to love him like we do, he is so great!

If Husband is a factor, to sweeten the pot, point out that during your trip he will have unlimited viewing of the big screen TV. While I’m sure he’ll miss you very much while you’re away, the next day you might find that he’s packed your bags and put them next to the front door.

NCOE (after listening a couple times to the full version): The intro is gorgeous. Makes it crystal clear who has the prettiest voice in town. I love how Adam puts just the right amount of grit in the different parts of the song.
