Re the iPad for typing…I have an HP Touchpad, and received an iPad as a gift. The iPad virtual keyboard has no number row! NO comparison, the HP wins hands down. And the operating system is so much more intuitive…and it has a charging dock that you just rest it on, no need to plug and unplug. I love love love it. The HP operating system – webOS – is open source now and the android apps will work on the touchpad shortly, as well as the webOS apps.
(I just keep the ipad in the parlor to use for a reader, I have magazine apps on it.)

Friday. Kelly O called Trespassing Adams new single. The DJ played the Bruno thingy. I’m confusedy. I just want them to pick the right one!
Our friend Nele has jumped ship I think, shes all about praising Adam and made one stupid comment in the Kris thread that I saw. Maybe she should come over here. So…sigh. I’m glad I don’t really have to be the one to choose! Cuckoo seems a little bit gimmicky for Adam, he is too new (to most people) for that IMO. Trespassing could quickly become annoying on the radio if heard too often. And I have already forgotten the fourth option!

Kradamour, the fourth snippet was Naked Love… I love it too.
I keep wondering if Trespassing could have the same appeal as Celo’s “F*ck You”. The backup singers really made me think of that song – they really “souled” it up.
This choice is really starting to feel like a high stakes round of poker (and no, just because my screen name is TexasWannaHoldEm doesn’t mean I know anything about poker – I’ve never even played!). It just seems like it’s kind of a “do or die” situation, career-wise. I really hope he finds radio success with this release. I know he’ll always be able to make a comfortable living with his talent, but I’d like for him to make a big splash or two (or as many splashes as he wants) in the world of pop. But like they say, if wishes were fishes … (we have another saying in our family, but I’ll leave it at fishes, lol!)

OK,so I’m a bad fan..I only got 17/20
I put Indianapolis as his place of birth, messing up my states and cities, still I’ll give myself an excuse for that one seeing as I’m not American..And put Donnie Darko as the film as I knew thats where Mad World came from, forgot he didn’t sing that on cinema week, and I got the project runway magazine cover wrong…I’ll give myself another pass on that seeing as I’ve never watched the show, only snippets of Adams episode, and I was too busy staring at how gorgeous Adam was to actually listen to anyone talking!
I’m on team NCOE too, I love it and think its perfect for a single, beautiful words, very uptempo (most bpm of all 4 of the songs apparently), and the Bruno link can only work in his favour.
I’m listening to my Trespassing playlist and had forgotten to take the Bruno demo off, um, no comparison, but I guess that’s understood on here!

I agree, Texas. After the only “meh” showing of BTIKM, and all the vaunting and promo of how epic this album is, single #2 can’t get another lukewarm response.
And as much as a lot of peeps love the Queen thing, I think it adds a tricky piece into the puzzle. I think that there needs to be a radio hit before he sings Freddie Mercury, or risk being known more for Queen’s music than his own: “Adam Lambert? Isn’t he that guy who fronted for Queen for a few concerts?”
Enough of that! Single #2 gonna burn up the charts! No matter which single it is!

I totally get a happy feeling if I hear Trespassing, but I can’t envision how it will do on radio. I love the acoustic NCOE, but I’m not sold on the electronic version. How did I ever become obsessed with a guy who wants to make everything as electronically as possible???

Kradamour, I’ve been doing lots of *sighing* as well when it comes to the next single decision. I really hope it’s not Trespassing. I think that if it is, it will either be a big hit or a big flop, there just doesn’t seem to be room for “meh” with it. I still feel like he may hit it big in the European market before he does here, which would take some of the pressure off of how he does here. Irregardless, I still think he’ll move a respectable number of CD’s and have another successful tour – I think his reputation as a live performer is pretty wide-spread.

Someone named Eminem did really good with rap, lol Ya I always see if I can say the song fast enough, I can think along with it, but if I had to (well what you call) sing it, I dunno, I cant do it. It might be fun for people to try to sing the song. Its still my favorite song, well along with Chokehold, and NL, and Cuckoo. I am sure they are doing there homework on which one to release.

Oh no, I’m so torn: Trespassing: loved it the first time I heard it, full of spunk and character, very close to what I always hoped Adam would do. NCOE: a little safer – with Bruno name bonus – so pretty and seductive.
What we know for sure is that Adam can pull off both in live performances. Trespassing makes for the more exciting live performance IMHO.
Gah, I can’t decide. With so much riding on it, I wouldn’t want to be the one making that call. I am stressed out just watching the whole thing unfold. I wish they could just release both in short succession.

Here’s my thoughts on the Trespassing/NCOE debate. Could the non-US release be Trespassing and the US release be NCOE? Don’t know if that’s even possible but it would be the best of both worlds. If not, I think NCOE, since Adam will get the chance to perform the h*ll out of it on AI and America will fall in love with it!! I said when I first heard it that I could see him performing it so well on Idol. There is something about it that reminds me of Mad World – maybe the tinge of sadness and drama in the lyrics, if that makes any sense. When is he going to be on Idol?
I wish they could just release the fricking album!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe there is something even better that the suits haven’t thought of!!! We have been made to think that there are only four radio-worthy options.
Honestly, I think we have a conflict here: Adam loves each of the songs like his children, which they are, and has no objectivity and can’t hear them through the ears of the public.
For that matter, neither can we, because we are too invested – and also we know too much about the creation, where he came from, what he wants – and what he can do, and we are dying to see the songs, all of them, live! when most peeps will only hear the studio versions of the music. We are not who he primarily needs to please with this one, if he wants to expand his influence and appeal.
And the suits just want to be safe and make money.
We know too much and they know too little.
As mils would say, “gah!”

I think that choosing NCOE as the next single was a very smart move. Not the boldest out-of-the-box choice, but definitely the smartest choice at this stage of the game. IMHO. It’s all strategy.
I’m happy with the choice because it’s not just that it’s the most radio-friendly, but it’s also a great song that I think people will really like. Adam/RCA can turn up the boldness meter after he’s more firmly re-established on radio.
