Welcome to our site for Adam Lambert concerts!

Adamland and eywflyer may be familiar usernames to you from the Glam Nation Tour concert threads that appeared regularly on mjsbigblog last year, and we decided to create a site dedicated to Adam Lambert concert info. This site will provide information on Adam’s upcoming tour, ticket sales, and when the time comes, concert threads for each tour date. We are looking forward to lots of fun during Adam’s second tour!

To register as a new user on this site, look in the right-hand side menu under “Meta” and click on the “Register” link. Login/logout functions are also available under the Meta menu.

Please read the Comment Guidelines (found in the right-side menu under Important Info) before posting on the threads.

Oh I’ll take soup and some nice crusty bread anytime

I’ll eat that too. Actually anything that crosses my path…except….ugh..raw celery..that’s my kryptonite…gaaahhhh!! Frown
On Adamland’s behalf I’m gonna have pasta and some petit fours, preferably
with chocolate..she got me some decadent ones in NOLA and I’ve never recovered….. Alien

OH hi Codysmom…glad you got on..ladybug, if codysmom did it you can too..
    let’s hear from you..lol Smile

  4. Kradamour says:

Welcome, codysmom! I think you’ll find that this is the most respectable respectful Adam community out there, which I why I love it here. Lots of positive energy! Smile

  5. Kradamour says:

I just noticed that if you take the mouse over the dates on the calendar on the right side, it shows what happened on that day (Wango Tango, etc.). Brilliant! I am probably the last person to notice that LOL…I just love all the cool details on this site. Loving it more and more! THANK YOU!

  6. AL says:

Hi to all the newbies! As a former lurker, it’s more fun to participate (at least when I have something to add) than just read the comments. Well that is fun too! Smile

kradamour: …It is only 15 miles from the St. Hubert airport, according to one site I found. (But over an hour drive from Trudeau airport.)

St. Hubert is south of Montreal and more than 15 miles from Ste. Agathe. Wink

Here’s a view of the airports and where they are in relation to Ste. Agathe. YUL is the only large passenger airport in the Montreal area and the best bet. But it’s still an-all-highway 90 minutes drive to the festival area. Looks like Cher is already working on a bus rental! Wink

  7. AL says:

Cher: …Am spending another night in Montreal (trying to see something of Montreal/Quebec in a day or so.

If you are in Montreal and want to visit an area with plenty of restaurants, cafes and historic sites, you should go to Vieux Montreal. You’ll find cobble-stone streets, artists, musicians, open air cafés , plenty of old buildings (from 1600’s) and churches. Even the one Celine Dion was married in – Notre Dame.
    http://www.basiliquenddm.org/en/

And food is good and abundant which I know is a requirement! Wink
When in Montreal, you should try a smoked meat sandwich at Schwartz’s. You can find the best bagels and smoke meat sandwiches around since Montreal has a large Jewish community.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montreal-style_smoked_meat

And I agree with kradamour. Poutine is best savored in the original fashion – fries topped with curd cheese (fromage en grains) and covered in brown gravy that equals one gooey cholesterol delicious delight! Drool. Razz

For dessert, how about a sweet crepe filled with fruit and dusted with sugar? And a café au last to help wash it down!
    http://media1.px.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/MKZcf84L4AZB93ajWLqK4g/l
No matter what you decide to try, it will be good and we’ll want a typical Cher food-centric review of the concert trip. Wink

  8. CODYSMOM says:

Thank’s Kradamor. It’s nice to have other’s to talk to about Adam.

  9. Kradamour says:

Thanks for the correction, AL! The only airport I know in Canada from personal experience is Vancouver. I know better than to trust travel sites, shouldn’t have posted information that I couldn’t personally confirm. Frown

BTW, the performers for July 27 (first day of Ste Agathe festival) still haven’t been named!

  11. milwlovesadam says:

I don’t know a thing about Poutine. I googled a picture and it looks like a mess. Up here in my parts of the world, Wisconsin, we eat our squeeky delicious cheese curds deep fried and respectable. Of course, to keep it low cal, we put them alongside deep fried mushrooms and maybe some french fries to balance out the platter. Gravy?? I’m not sure about that. All I know is, my stomach and complexion and cholesterol level can only handle this once a year. Egads!

  12. AL says:

Oops, forget about the max. 2 link rule here. Post above was just released from captivity moderation. Thanks eywflyer and adamland for all your hard work! Great site, great people! Now if only this old dog can just learn the tricks of this great site… Wink

  13. Kradamour says:

AL, the first time I was in Montreal, Vieux Montreal was filled with graffiti…”A bas les Anglais!”. It was how I learned that “les Anglais” means anyone who speaks English, not necessarily a nationality. Interesting stuff! I was told that I wasn’t in fact “une Anglaise”, even though my native language is English, because I always spoke French. Hmmm. Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone could change their stripes so easily, whenever they wanted? It could make the world a nicer place!

(AL, is it Notre Dame where the ship is hanging in the rafters?)

  14. turquoisewaters says:

…If I can interrupt the French food channel for a minute:
    Moscow setlist:
    http://adamlamberttv.blogspot.com/
Looks like Adam has 1 1/2 hours. Even if you subtract the time to set up, that should leave time for a good number of songs. I sure hope there is video.
    … Now back to poutine…
In my neck of the woods, people just drown their fries in Nacho Cheese. Poutine sounds like a delicacy in comparison. So many ways to (skim) fatten a cat.

  15. HK fan says:

Cher. I’m with you, celery is one of my most disliked foods too, especially raw.
Codysmom, I always thought I must be doing something wrong trying to log in here as my IT skills are not exactly great….makes me feel better that other people have trouble too.
(the problem was that no matter how many times I tried to log in with forgotten password and request a new one, no e-mail ever came through with a new one).

  16. Ron says:

Cher, be prepared to walk up and down hills in Montreal compared to flat Miami streets (and Toronto streets, for that matter). Wear comfortable shoes.

I think Montreal is one of the most attractive cities I’ve ever visited. Much more so than Toronto. The last time we were there, we stayed at a Holiday Inn in Chinatown. The view from our room showed a steep hill leading up to Notre Dame at the top of it. “Old Montreal” is a block from there where you’re transported into a different world! Certainly a different time period with it’s hundreds of years old buildings and cobblestone lane ways.

Schwartz’s Deli on Saint-Laurent Boulevard is a MUST. It’s been in operation since 1928 and has served countless celebrities throughout its long history.

I’ll give Montreal a wave as we motor past it on July 28th and will think of you. Hope it’ll be a cloudless, blue sky, sunny day. I’ve always enjoyed my times in Montreal very much.

  17. AL says:

(AL, is it Notre Dame where the ship is hanging in the rafters?)

Yes and no, it’s a ND also – the “sailors’ church” Notre Dame de Bon Secours. The one I mentioned earlier is Basilica Notre Dame de Montreal. It’s also a must see when in the Vieux (Old) Montreal area.
    http://www.catholicphotographer.com/Quebec-Pilgrimage/Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours-Jul/13367565_QPbwc#972108355_DkeMq

Like you, I was not considered “un anglais” or “maudit bloke” (damned Englishman!) since I always spoke French when out and about. Work and home were different. At work, it was back and forth between French and English depending with whom I was speaking. I miss those Franglais discussions. I moved there from Ontario and only had high school French. Some people that I worked with were born in Quebec but did not speak French. I decided to embrace the language and culture that were part of my partner’s roots.
Ah, Quebec, tu me manques! but we still listen to French music and watch French movies and TV.

  18. Kradamour says:

turquoise, thank you for the reminder that Moscow is on the horizon!
Do we know anyone who is going? I’m getting nervous that we won’t have vids/twats/recaps… Frown I think it would be a first!

  19. Ron says:

    Y-A-Y!

Adam has been nominated for a Much Music Award: “Most Watched Video of the Year”.

One can vote for it by simply watching it at this Link:

    http://mmva.muchmusic.com/most-watched-video/?cid=313802&pid=77808&slug=adam-lambert-if-i-had-you

I think only Canadians can vote, though. I know some people in Toronto who will be clicking on that Link all night long right through to June 19th. Smile Hope they like “If I Had You” but then, who doesn’t. Wink

ETA: June 19th is the date for the awards show. It will also mark the one year anniversary that I saw Adam’s GNT here in Toronto.

  20. CODYSMOM says:

HK fan.Same thing happened to me.Just gave up,but kept on reading all the comment’s.Iwent tnere everyday to find out what Adam was up to.so many time’s I wished I could have gotten on to comment, but had to talk to myself instead.

  21. CODYSMOM says:

Hi Cher, sorry I missed your post earlier.

  22. nkd says:

    Hi codysmom! Welcome!
We’re glad you’re finally here. It is great to have others to discuss Adam with. These peeps are the best!
But sometimes we also end up talking to ourselves! Wink

  23. Ron says:

    Welcome CODYSMOM and Hi, nkd!

I’m just finishing off a hot fudge sundae while watching the weigh-in’s on “The Biggest Loser”. LOL

  24. nkd says:

    Hi Ron!
Hot fudge sundae while watching The Biggest Loser? That’s so wrong! Wink

  25. Kradamour says:

nekkid, did you figure out what to do? I tried to skype you but I see you are here hanging out with Ron Wink

  26. JOJOSIE says:

I have to admit the first time I visited Canada and had Poutine it was a real surprise. Serving french fries with cheese and gravy never ever entered my mind. I have to admit it was delicious once I got over the shock. We ordered food and were told it came with Poutine and we had no idea what it was and it was served family style on a huge platter. We were in Ontario. I also noted that coffee was always served with cream in it, you had to request black. I didn’t mind as I use cream regularly. Is that the same in Quebec? Sounds like you all need to get some elastic waist pants to take along.

  27. Ron says:

Wanted dessert after my dessert so dug into a double-portion serving of Poutine. Wink

  28. adamland says:

On Adamland’s behalf I’m gonna have pasta and some petit fours, preferably
with chocolate..she got me some decadent ones in NOLA and I’ve never recovered….. Alien

HAHA you and Debbie both I think? Eat some for me until I can get my own!

  29. nkd says:

kradamour, skype me? How do I know? Do I have to be signed in? I know nothing!!!

  30. Ron says:

Yes, nkd … go to your Skype and see if kradamour is online and then one of you can contact the other.

  31. nkd says:

Thank you Ron! My inadequacies are showing! More and more everyday! Wink

  32. Ron says:

    My inadequacies are showing!

nkd!! Cover them up! This is a G-rated Blog. Smile

  33. eywflyer says:

Turquoisewaters, thanks for posting the link with the Maxidrom schedule info! Moscow is 8 hours ahead of EDT, so 145-315pm their time is 545-715am EDT, 245-415am PDT. Yikes. We will have a live thread open for anyone who is awake, likely starting late evening PDT. Hopefully some tweets/pix or vids will come thru by Saturday morning.

AL, the two link rule is a suggested anti-spam comment defense I have set, as spam comments often have many links. I haven’t seen any spam get caught in the filter so far, and will probably raise the allowed number of links to three and eventually four if we continue to be spam-free.

  34. nkd says:

    This is a G-rated Blog

    Yeah, OK! Wink

  35. tchrsd says:

Turquoisewaters, it’s nice to be here and meet other Adam fans (and teachers!) with the same passion. What grade level math do you teach? Not my strongest subject…glad I teach 3rd! Smile Looking forward to end of school year so I can lurk here more regularly! LOL What a friendly group!!

  36. rainbowgal4 says:

I have spent the last two days (I think!!!) away from computer – got such a bug with a fever and chills. So tonight I caught up with all the chatter here. After reading about Canada, the places and food, I’ve just planned my next vacation. You should all go to work for the department of tourism. I would gladly write AL, Ron & Kradamour a letter of reference!!! I just disappointed that I won’t be able to visit for Adam’s concert.

  37. Kradamour says:

Woot! Just visited nekkid in her corner via skype. Through the miracle of video I can report that she is just as adorable as we think. Can’t wait to meet in person in Quebec!

5:45 am…wow. I am also thinking about Adam and jet lag. That is a lot of time zones to cross! unlike the tour, he is not going gradually. Although there were some big leaps, I guess, on the tour. (shakes head) I really, really hope that we get some live postings…do we know of anyone specific who is going? Will there be a twitter feed? In cyrillic… Rolls Eyes

  38. rainbowgal4 says:

Welcome to all the new posters and Adam fans. Make sure you stay awhile and chat with us. This is one of the best places to hang out and the fun only gets better.

  39. Kradamour says:

rainbowgal4, I love to travel and I love to convince other people to travel! perhaps that should be my next career… Smile
Canada is a wonderful country. Every time I cross the border to visit our neighbor up north I enjoy it more than the last.

  40. Kradamour says:

This is one of the best places to hang out

And there is no excuse for just lurking! No one is in any danger of being flamed or treated badly, so no need to hide. Smile

Off to bed now. Have to start banking some sleep hours to be able to get up for Adam’s concert next week…
    G’nite peeps! Sweet Adam dreams!

  41. nkd says:

I love these pants! What’s with the hair? Where’s the highlighted tips? Am I just not seeing it? And…what’s the temp in LA? Looks like he’d be hot in all of those layers!

    http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0AEfcmLFEfY/TdM_KwMVrfI/AAAAAAAACF8/iSeb7g1j-aY/s1600/a5.jpg

  42. nkd says:

Yes, kradamour and I just visited via skype. She is so lovely, and I too can not wait to meet in Quebec. As I am anxiously waiting to meet everyone else also!

  43. rainbowgal4 says:

nkd The highlighted tips are there. I can see why you might not notice them though. As far as the temp it could be 60 some degrees and to those LA folks that might be “cold” for them. My daughter grew up in the upper midwest. When she lived in Florida she laughed at the number of times the “natives” were in heavy sweatshirts and jackets and she was running around in shorts & a tank top. To her it was warm. What a great photo of this very handsome couple!!!

  44. nkd says:

You are right rainbowgal. It shows the high temps in LA in the 60’s. I guess it’s ok for him to wear a jacket! I suppose I was projecting our almost 90 degrees! Haha, I’d be in a jacket, too!

  45. Ron says:

    nkd says:
    05/18/2011 at 12:10 am

I’d be in a jacket, too!

That would be a strait-jacket, right? LOL

Glad you skyped with kradamour! My PC doesn’t have that capacity. I’ve been to TLKC’S when she’s used it and it looks like fun.

Are your travel plans in place for Quebec, nkd? Or, is it still too soon?

  46. nkd says:

Not in a straight jacket yet! Travel plans are close to being almost sorta halfway complete!
Skype was fun! You need a new computer then, so you can skype with me, Ron!

  47. Ron says:

    You need a new computer

I know! I can’t believe that the one I’m using is 8 years old. It’s a relic! Even with 2 gigs of RAM, it does have its struggles along the way. I’ve never had one problem with it though. It’s a DELL.

  48. nkd says:

I gotta get some sleep. Early day tomorrow.
Good night Ron and rainbowgal, and everyone!

  49. Ron says:

    ‘Nite, nkd

  50. turquoisewaters says:

tchrsd: I teach high school math. I don’t think I would have the patience for the younger set.
