August saw Adam globetrotting to Australia, New Zealand, US, Germany, Poland, and England promoting The Original High. But the travel doesn’t stop there as he heads to South America for the first time. Queen + Adam reunite to play a series of dates there including Rock in Rio which Queen inaugurated some 30 years ago.

    From the quiz I got 80’s Mega Star!
    And a GIF of a half naked Freddy Mercury wearing white pants doing his usual charismatic thing on stage with a red handkerchief!

    I grew up in the 80s and was a huge fan of british pop… so no surprise… I got 40/40… but it was made easy because they showed on most pictures the faces of the artist…
    The only time I hesitated was between Madonna and Bananarama..

    ETA: wait a minute, isn’t Madonna American ?

    It struck me, that he could be contemplating mortality too, that there could come a time in a few years when they will not be able to play together and these beautiful experiences will end.

    This has been hanging above their heads at every concert. Roger and Brian are not that young anymore…

    I am much younger and get sleepy at 9 pm…
    Whereas @ RIR… QAL’s started at midnight and lasted for at least 2 hours… and I am not sure whether they slept at all because of the adrenaline high.. And they went to the monument in the early morning also if I am correct with the chronology….

    These concerts are great but it does put a strain on them… Then again, if anything happens, at least they can die happy.. saying that at least they have been chasing the “original high” and came close to it… hehehe

    ETA: the song WWTLF was written by Brian May during a difficult period in his life… Maybe everytime Adam’s sings it, he may be reminded of these moments… but maybe it is also something cathartic for Brian.

    Maybe Sauli is on the way to Chile or Argentine… I remember Sauli picking up Adam after his concert somewhere in Eastern Europe and travelling together to Finland (for his last concert) or so…

    Hello my lovelies! I am not caught up…just a nice story…

    Today is a big solemn holiday in my faith ( Yom Kippur ), except that I’m just not feeling solemn lately! Sure, I have repented and atoned for my multitude of sins, however, my heart is full. I am very grateful.

    Grateful for better health.
    Grateful for the joy my children bring into my life every single day.
    Grateful for the gift of my senses; sight, taste, touch, smell, hearing, and even extra senses too!
    Grateful for everything in my real life.
    Grateful for everything in my on-line life.
    Grateful for all the joy that brings all of my senses alive every single time I hear Adam’s voice, see his form, admire his ability to form such cohesive thoughts, and sentences and project himself in interviews.

    So, in this spirit, I got into my car after morning services, turned on the radio ( IHeart 97.3 ) and heard the end of that newish song Cheerleader, which always reminds me of Nico & Vinz who opened for Bruno the night before QAL 2 in Toronto, but, I digress…and then…Ghost Town on my radio!!! Yay!! It always makes me so happy to hear it on radio!

    Then came the lady DJ…and that was Adam LLLLLLambert with Ghost Town. Gah. I love it when they do that.

    I love it even more when I haven’t heard it all week on the radio, but the timing of it just as I started my car and on this holiday.

    And I’m grateful for this blog, and this fan community of wonderful generous people. I simply cannot wait to meet up with as many of you as possible and enjoy all of our senses with our guy.

    I’m also particularly grateful for Brian and Roger who have done so much for Adam, and who gave us the gift of a rawk Ghost Town. I cannot get enough of it.

    Ha, at work today this med student walked by my desk & I see on his name tag his first name is “Lambert”. I said “I love your name”! Got talking, he knew who Adam was, thought he won Idol. Wasn’t aware that he was touring with Queen…told him of all my adventures…the same ole stuff. Told me he’d youtube QAL to see what the hoopla is all about.

    I really didn’t keep track of those 80’s songs other than I can’t see Adam singing ANY of them! I mean he sang Shout & Let’s Dance, but that’s it! Don’t like most of them. He really doesn’t fit many 80’s songs. I see how he wouldn’t do an 80’s cover album.
