August saw Adam globetrotting to Australia, New Zealand, US, Germany, Poland, and England promoting The Original High. But the travel doesn’t stop there as he heads to South America for the first time. Queen + Adam reunite to play a series of dates there including Rock in Rio which Queen inaugurated some 30 years ago.

    I gave up treadmill today to be here because we plan a short road trip soon. DDaughter has a week off so we want to do something. She has been working 6 days a week. Well deserved fun time!!

    Adam may have left Porto Alegre but I don’t think he was on that flight with Brian and Roger. They have 3 days free, he may have gone elsewhere. I don’t see him in that pic above or the other one with just Roger and Brian.

    I just bought 2 tickets to see Adam at the Revention Music Center here in Houston for October 28th!! I did not know he was even going to be here until I heard it on 96.5 on my way to work today! I thought to myself this can’t be true, but when I went to their site, there he is listed along with some female DJ. Maybe she is an opening act?! Don’t know, don’t care as long as I get to see Adam!!!

The site has a collection of 45,000 records, collected over 80 years. There, the artist heard Tears For Fears, David Bowie, Michael Jackson and Dry & Wet. He came to hear the solo album Ney, “Bandido” (1976), and the title track “Corazón Bandido”.

    renataademelo.. wow.. just read a bit about Florianopolis in wikipedia.. It has 42 beaches !! wow… Adam deserves some rest . After all, that RIR gig was a very high profile gig… I cannot imagine how nervwrecking it could have been for Adam.. Then again, he has already 2,5 years exprience of touring with Queen…

    In checking the stats on neilson mediabase, when I look at the published US Charts for Top 40 it shows Ghost Town at #22, but when I check All Stations it shows Ghost Town at #20. Which is the correct one to go by? Does anyone know?

    Watching WWTLF from Porto Alegre, I was struck that Adam seemed to be singing to Brian, more than other times. He starts down the ramp at first, then turns back and over to Brian before walking down the ramp again. And he turns toward Brian again, singing to him before the end. It struck me, that he could be contemplating mortality too, that there could come a time in a few years when they will not be able to play together and these beautiful experiences will end. It’s very sad to even imagine. I wonder if they have ever talked about it?

    riskylady, I’ve thought about what you said about Brian/Queen in the past and thought the same thing. But yes, WWTLF the other night you could really see Adam watching Brian so closely. First I thought Adam might forget his spot or words, etc. But the way you put it is spot on IMO. Reality is that they won’t play for too many years more or even another show after SA (hope not) but I don’t want to think about that right now.
