Summer is almost over and so is the “Once In A Lifetime” tour. It has been a fantastic experience for Adam and Queen and for the many who were fortunate enough to see them live (and even for those who just saw them online). The concerts may be over soon but they live on in our memories and on Youtube (since our memories cannot always be relied upon). They will have to do for now as we wait for new music from Adam and possibly another tour in 2015. It will be here before we know it!

    Our ALL friend P (of M and P) took some outstanding photographs at the Philly show, and I recently had a chance to look through them.

    I’m glad that Jlo has gotten to meet and get to know Adam a bit…I don’t know why, but I got the impression from when he performed on Idol before that she wasn’t very impressed.

    I was in the hairdressers yesterday flicking through an issue of Star magazine from aug, and there was a really great pic of Adam in it, in his leopard suit. It was such a lovely surprise to finally see him in a magazine….I ripped it out!

    p.s very glad that Scotland voted no…yay, we get to keep the Union Jack.

    So happy for the QAL tour in Europe and the UK. I will be in Europe in November and then in April. Was waiting to get my ticket for November, but I guess that that is too soon. When we have more details we will have to decide where will be the best place for the most of us to meet.

    ETA Rereading the press release, it sounds like Freddie is singing, but how can they change what was originally so up-beat and discolike to a stripped down ballad? I guess we will see.

I really feel so fortunate to have met you all and many others here on ALL. It’s our friendships and social interactions at Adam’s concerts that have made it all such an incredible experience. Hope to see everyone again soon…somewhere in Europe!

    Did they say when the tour in Europe would start? I’d think that Adam would like to wrap up his album first, but, hey, this Queen gig can’t be beat. Once in a life time opportunity for sure.

    I had been wondering about that, and had mentioned it several times….but on a link I posted earlier of the BBC radio 2 show with Brian and Roger they played Freddies version with everything stripped away, the part I listened to sounded just like Adams version……but not as good!!

    I took the link down almost straight away as I then posted just the soundcloud of the announcement….should have kept it.

    Oh HK Fan, Why did you take it down? Frown I didn’t look at your link because I thought it was the tour announcement and I had already seen that.

    Kradamour, of course, I would love to meet in Paris! It is one of my very favorite cities! I have been thinking of other places where I would love to see QAL, aside from the UK of course. From past experience, there is nothing like seeing them in the middle of a crowd of British Queen fans and feeling the energy build as Adam wins them over. So my list also includes Barcelona, Florence (Rome or Milan would do, too), Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki. Really don’t want to go to Berlin, although I am sure that they will play there.

    And, of course…….TEL AVIV! They would get 50,000 at a concert in the park and you are ALL invited!Dance Clap Jump

    I wonder if QAL would come back for one more gig in the new world?
    I can so see them on the Plains of Abraham at the Quebec Music festival…a HUGE event that goes on for over a week on multiple stages…headliners get the Plains and a capacity of over 100,000. Paul McCartney has played there, Celine Dion, Madonna (she sold 96K tickets there)…it is in July.

    This is so funny. I emailed our Toronto FAB5 earlier this morning and suggested that we consider Paris or Rome for 2015, since we were in the UK last time around. Even if ALL decides to congregate in a different city, I am taking a detour.

    If they go to Tel Aviv, rs, that would be my vote for an ALL get together. Big Smile Yes

    Thanks AL and HK fan. I listened to the Queen bits of the show and the three songs. I liked them, but also prefer Adam’s version of Love Kills. It is stronger and more emotional, IMO, but then I am first and foremost an Adam fan, so I am always going to prefer his versions, no?
