Summer is almost over and so is the “Once In A Lifetime” tour. It has been a fantastic experience for Adam and Queen and for the many who were fortunate enough to see them live (and even for those who just saw them online). The concerts may be over soon but they live on in our memories and on Youtube (since our memories cannot always be relied upon). They will have to do for now as we wait for new music from Adam and possibly another tour in 2015. It will be here before we know it!

    So when they finally do air these episodes of auditions, and they do those split screens with judges, do ya’ll think they’ll still have all the pretty be Jlo????

    I know I’ve posted this before, but, I cannot get enough of this. You can see some of us, including me, risky and TLKC in it too. Beside that, his voice, his theatricality, and the ending of STL just knock me flat. And to think, we. were. there.

    luval, it was real, and we were there. It gives me chills sometimes, chills and thrills and good feels.

    This was such an outstanding performance. I know, I know, the whole tour was outstanding!! I get it. And we all have our favorite moments, our favorite shows, but, this was simply an out of body experience!!!

    And, I can see the moments where he got me in his eyebeams during Killer Queen, and I kinda relive it every time I watch this.

    I have sent this vid to my new Glamberts from work, and they just died. One of them claims he has watched it at least 25 times already.

    AI, We need a stand in for Keith Urban who was called away on an emergency due to his FIL’s death.

    Adam, I’m sorry to hear that.

    AI, Can you sit in for Keith for a day or so on the judges panel while he is gone?

    I just want to add my joy at Adam’s stint as Idol judge for a day. He must have had a blast doing it, and he was one person that Idol knew they could call who would jump in at a moment’s notice to help out. After all, Adam is a diva, but no prima donna! I imagine that the real convo went something like this:

    AI (Michael Orland or Seacrest): Hey Adam! How you doin’? Look we are in a bit of a bind and we need your help. I know that you just got off of your tour with Queen, (it was fabulous, by the way, I caught it in L.A.), and you are trying to finish your new album, but Keith had to go to Australia to be with Nicole right now, and we are missing a judge for the New York auditions. Do you think that you could fly out here and fill in for a day or two?

    Adam: Sure, I would love to. When do you need me?

    AI: Tomorrow morning.

    Adam: I’ll be there. Just have to move around some studio dates already arranged.

    AI: Thanks Buddy. We knew that we could count on you. You are a true friend. Love you.

    Adam: Love you, too. See you tomorrow.

    I am back from Cancun. Can’t believe there was such a big hurricane in Cabo San Lucas! Never even knew until after it happened. Read about it on the internet. Only had some heavy rain twice where we were, late in the night and the beach was a bit rough but guess it was so far away. Terrible that so many tourists were stranded because of airport damage ( 30,000 approx) and that there’s widespread looting. We were so lucky! whew!
    Now to hear that Adam’s guest judging on idol!! Yay!! Made my day, night, year and he looks fabulous! Grin

    Have to say that this news about Idol has perked me up so much. I was beginning to think that we would be mostly relegated to paparazzi shots of him coming out of BB, HH etc. for the next three months. He is obviously committed to telling us almost nothing about the recording process.

    I hope he has a great day in NYC and that he has a hand in picking at least one candidate who goes to the Top 5 – ‘cos their auditions will be repeated ad infinitum for the entire season. Grin

    Very interesting about Russell Brand documentary. It says the film is a spiritual and biographical journey that features meetings with inspiring people. Non-violent revolution. Adam is a good choice for that kind of conversation.

    Over the past couple of years, since Miley Cyrus took the stage “twerking” at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, our students’ dancing behavior has crossed the line of what we can condone as appropriate behavior at a school. Twerking is dancing to popular music in a sexually provocative manner involving a low squatting stance and thrusting movements. Students do not face one another or remain with the same person for the length of the song.

    If you haven’t seen twerking, I would encourage you to research this online.

    As a school we are responsible to keep students safe and teach them how to interact with others appropriately. One of the issues that emerges with this highly sexualized form of dancing is consent.

    When faculty spoke with some of our students about how the dancing starts between two people, we were told by students that someone just comes up behind you and starts. One female described being uncomfortable when a male student she didn’t know started “grinding” with her from behind. Other students in the discussion agreed with her and said it is not uncommon.     My gosh, Adam has gained over 10,000 Instagram followers in about a week, and most in the last 3 days! He was creeping towards 360k just last week and now passed 370k.
    And Sauli doing nicely too, close to 30k and gaining.
    Haha, symmetry! Both are full circle, Sauli hosting BB Finland, and A guest judging AI.
    And I can’t figure out how to get a link, but Avicii still closing his gigs with LMD – the last one in Ibiza on 8/31 is on his Instagram. Hope he puts one of the Adam/Nile songs on his next album.
