   I wonder if it includes the Queen tour? I am thinking that it wouldn’t? Didn’t someone post that he was estimated to make 5 to 6 million this summer? I could be totally wrong about that.
   
   Regardless, Adam has said more than once that he is investing his $$ for long term security, and even with buying Louboutin boots he has plenty to assure a very comfortable future for the rest of his life.
   I really love that we (his fandom) were such a big part of that for him. We have sadly seen that talent alone, no matter how amazing, isn’t necessarily enough.

   Just dropping in to say “YAY!” on the Idol news, though it is very sad to hear about the death of Nicole’s father.

   It is all good for Adam and will provide a nice showcase for him in the early spring if, as we expect, his single and cd are released. Also, isn’t this another first for him in the Idol pantheon: first contestant to guest-judge?

    I’m glad to look forward to having Adam on my TV in January or so, if only for one night, but this somehow seems a little anticlimatic.
    It will be good exposure with the new album coming out…hopefully not long after.

    mils, I got James Dean too. I always identified with him as a teen, thought he was hot and charismatic. I was a terrible rebel too, gave my poor parents so much grief. But I knew my limits, thus lived through those crazy years.

    I went back and looked up the Forbes estimates for Adam. They are based on May to May, starting with May 2010.

    May 2010 – Adam didn’t make Top Ten. #10 was Kris Allen with $672k, based on his 300k album sales but mostly on income from winner’s prize and Ford commercials. Adam’s tour hadn’t started yet either. But we could probably say he made maybe $300-500k from Time for Miracles, idol tour, appearances, etc., no?

    May 2011 – $6.0 million, touring mostly
    May 2012 – $1.5 million, writing album, but still had appearances MTVEMAs, China, private gigs
    June 2013 – $5.0 million, touring WAG, Queen 2012, Hennessy, Life Ball, Summer Sonic Japan, Divas, other appearances

    Estimated total through June 2013: $12.8 million (includes the lower $300k for 2010.

    I like U2 so I wanted the album. I had to go through steps to have it download, and I do have my purchases set to auto download on my phone.
    So I wasn’t seeing the problem people were having with the give away. Guess it wasn’t the same for everyone.
