Summer is almost over and so is the “Once In A Lifetime” tour. It has been a fantastic experience for Adam and Queen and for the many who were fortunate enough to see them live (and even for those who just saw them online). The concerts may be over soon but they live on in our memories and on Youtube (since our memories cannot always be relied upon). They will have to do for now as we wait for new music from Adam and possibly another tour in 2015. It will be here before we know it!

    Speaking of Trespassing – Here’s something I discovered a few months ago while I was listening to the CD in my car. I like Trespassing much better if it starts with “One day I was trippin’…”. I don’t know if it’s enough of a difference that it would have affected radio play or sales, but it is so much better IMO than starting with the chorus which makes it sound initially like an “angry” song. Fellow ALL’ers – please humor me and try playing it that way and tell me what you think, now that we have some down time. THANKS!!

    glambotgram What a great idea to do a calendar. Put me on your list (if you are making a list Big Smile

    I usually make up one month at a time for my desk, but printing on a home computer is quite expensive. They sell you the printer cheap and then make their money on the ink cartridges.

    Yes when we get the votes of everyone who is interested I will make it up and save it and provide the link for everyone. So far I have only found one site that will make one in portrait orientation, like the posters are.

    There was another review on the “Stuff” website, and here is my fave bit from it:

    From the opening notes of Now I’m Here, every fibre of my being was caught up in the sound and sights which are so iconic of the band.

    The woman next to me kept wolf-whistling in my ear and the lasers occasionally hit me square in the face, but I feel the small sacrifice of eyesight and hearing was a worthwhile price to pay.

    I like these in-person accounts, calgary. But there have been several reviews who were upset there was no John Deacon in sight. They must have missed him in the “Days of Our Lives” video in the background. Maybe went to the bathroom or out to get a drink. Smile

    I just went to look at Adam’s “audition” again and I came to the conclusion that we have probably never seen the entire thing uncut. There are several versions floating around, and they all jump all over the place. I wonder if an uncut version exists anywhere online.

    Whew! Finally caught up from the trip to Maine with Adamized…I wish that I was not so compulsive and could just leap back in and not worry about reading everything since I was last on the blog…the curse of a virgo temperament…
    smalls, loved your verbose exceptionally thorough post full of thoughts and speculations about Adam’s future stage experiences, back a few days. I have thought a lot of those same thoughts and expressed a little bit of them a while back.
    But…I keep coming back to the fact that Adam is always smiling. Our boy is happy, and it shows.
    Yes, he is coming down from the high of Queen, but he is excited about HIS music – me, too! – and that is something wonderful for him to come home to. As to a drop in stage production from Queen to album tour #3…I think that Adam might see it as apples and oranges. He definitely does not – could not – see his career at this point to be on the level of Queen – and there is time in his young life to achieve that sort of standing and that sort of stage production. Adam is a pretty positive guy.

    Saw Kris Allen in concert in New Hampshire (thanks, adamized!) and promptly bought his second and third (just out) CDs. Def worth a listen and a purchase…his career deserves to be stronger than it is, he is really talented. Team Kris! Forever part of my nom de plume.

    They didn’t do “These are the Days of Our Lives”
    In Australia, but replaced it with “It’s a Kind of Magic”. I haven’t watched all of the vids or any of the Kind of Magic ones, did they still show the montage video?

    Oh thanks, nkd. No wonder they didn’t see Deacon. You have several of my picks too. One you didn’t pick was 35. I thought that one or 24 had them bowing at the end. Would be good for december! But honestly, I love almost all of them.

    Wonder if there is any thought of a DVD that they will wait until there are absolutely, positively, for sure no more concerts.

    Dallas Buyers Club is on HBO now. Repeated later I think. It’s pretty good. Matthew Mcconahay deserved his best actor award.

    I didn’t watch “It’s a Kind of Magic” video yet either. Days of Our Lives is just so haunting and beautiful. Magic isn’t my cuppa tea.
