September finds blond Adam back in the US after a busy August touring Japan and Australia. What’s in store for us this month? A third single announcement? Confirmation about Idol judges (is Adam one of them?!)? More speculation of a Queen+Adam tour or possibly an actual Trespassing tour? Will he add more shows in the coming months? Even Adam’s hairdresser does not know for sure. So while we wait, continue to chat away about anything and everything Adam related. Enjoy!

    Ohhh, nkd, hopefully you and your old friend got a bit of sleep last night. Though it isn’t my first day of school, I had all the nerves and sleeplessness just as if it were. I should have come downstairs and joined you and rs for a wee hours in the morning discussion.

    Having a pet is certainly a mixed blessing. They are a beloved member of your family that never becomes an annoying teenager or a troublesome young adult. Instead they stay your babies until they crossover into old age with all the associated problems and heartaches.

    Let’s hope for some really great news today. Adam was up late making his fried bananas. Maybe an early celebration???

    nkd-H,T&P go out to you and your dog for a good day today. adamized – I was very touched by what you said about pets staying your babies – that’s certainly true! I’m planning on doing some painting today – finally decided on a color called Rapture! Hoping for good news from Idol today!

    I’m so sorry to hear about your dog nkd. Our dog used to have seizures but they ocurred only rarely and never more than one at at time. Your poor doggie probably gets re-oriented and then another one comes along.

    I hope he’s okay. It’s heartbreaking to see a beloved pet in pain.

    Thinking of Ron this morning, too. He is taking his partner for eye surgery. A somewhat routine procedure but still – it is all about the most important part of taking care of someone you love.

    My thoughts are with both of you.

    RE: MJ – I am sympathetic to her situation as I left the blog during Season 9 because fans start taking pot shots at each other’s favourites so early in the Idol season that it was ruining my enjoyment of the show. I tried again in Season 10 but the hateful comments about James turned me off (and I’m not a particular fan of his.)

    MJ knows that the trolling costs her posts and followers and she obviously wants to see keep her blog rolling. It may appear that Adam draws a special animus but, if you stand back and look at it, a lot of the other outstanding Idols do, too. Only Kelly and Carrie enjoy universal acceptability.

    It’s pretty obvious that some posters lie in wait for, and bait each other. I can’t get into that.

    HK fan’s post about Scottie’s cd cover being boring is still there, so you can still critique intelligently on-topic as long as you aren’t spoiling for a fight.

    LOL Oksana – I just saw that you thanked MJ for calling out the trolls. She does try to be even-handed.

    HKI was one of the ones mentioned Tuesday. Before he came back from OZ, there was talk of That coming Tues of an announcement. Nothing ever came of it, I only took a guess that it may be this Tues, and Adam said he had some things to take care of. So who knows what is going on. They have to announce something soon. And Adam needs to at least be able to deny that he is a judge, if that is the fact. Otherwise he just may not know. Or maybe he does and cant say.

    A lot of people think that they will wait until the DEMS convention is over but Simon Fuller said positive announcements soon and there are bound to be leaks. Good ones I hope.

    Your initial comment didn’t even mention the Idol the thread was about! It was just a snarky aside that verged on trolling, and pretty much began the train wreck.

    Then ya’ll get all huffy and puffy when people react angrily. Or wonder why fans gets fed up when some attempt to make every conversation about their favorite.

    What’s rich? If a Scotty fan and posted something similar in an Adam thread, the reaction would have been swift. And quite terrible. lol.

    While I occasionally feel the need to put in a good word for our boy at MJs, I try to stay zen about it. Discussing her blog here feels very awkward to me, in the end it is her blog and we all can vote with our feet (or mouse) where we want to post.

    sparkle, I’m wishing the best for your niece with her health issues.

    nkd, I feel for you and your pup. When I was young, I had a German Shorthaired Pointer who got out of our car and ran straight into the street instead of his usual running into our house. He was hit by a car, losing an eye and began having seizures for the remainder of his life. Not often, but they were terrifying for me. He slept like a baby for hours and hours after each seizure. Thank you for taking such good care of your baby.

    I have kept quiet about the extensive MJs discussion that has occurred here recently, but I agree with the folks above that in the last few days that topic has begun to dominate the conversation on ALL in an unhealthy way. An occasional comment regarding a current thread over there is ok, but let’s try to avoid long discussions of MJs site policies, moderation, fan wars, trolling etc. Thanks guys.

    I can’t even stand to go to MJ’s and haven’t for a long time. There is nothing going on over there that I want to be a part of. I just feel that she is soooooooo negative on Adam for the most part and because of that I never felt like she was consistant or fair for that matter, when she doled out moderation. I got tired of trying to please her all the time instead of just being free to state an opinion.

    Yes, I think they usually have off the month of June before the Idol tour in July. Think it’s usually finished like around the third week of May.

    Maybe Dallas has added Trespassing because Adam is doing the concert there? I don’t mind if Trespassing is the next single (although I think I would have preferred Cuckoo) I just hope he gets the video done so it can be released at the same time as the single. He always seems to do the videos too late. I t always seems other singers have the video ready at the same time as the single release for the biggest impact.

    Back from my day back at school…what a hoot! I do love the kids, even the ones bigger and taller than me lol…but the girls are all teetering on Gaga shoes, 2 and 3 inch platforms and 6″ heels, I keep waiting for them to just fall over. If you can pull off that look, more power to you – but while balancing a book bag, and walking long halls…ain’t happening.

This is so hard…and we need to be conscious of when they need us to do the right thing and help them to move on, and that is such a hard, hard decision to make…wondering what they want, is life still worth living to them, or do they want to stay with us a little longer. A quick expression of frustration is one thing, but especially when Adam news is slow and the posts are dominated with that sort of negativism, it was a little discouraging.     Yay Dallas!! I have to say that two stations here in Dallas have always been quick to play Adam – I heard both BTIKM and NCOE quite a bit during their initial release periods. Smile

    I’d like to make a very brief comment re MJ’s… I think the reason it keeps coming up here is due to the following: It could be very enjoyable, there are (were) some very interesting posters on Adam threads, and, for some inexplicable reason, it is unjust… Leaves people like me very confuzzled. Question

    nkd, I’m so sorry for you and your pet. Have you talked with your vet about seizure meds? I have a good friend who gives her cocker spaniel anti-seizure meds daily, with success!
