aww, so sorry to hear that cwm, thats tough, If its any consolation, a similar thing happened to my husband about 18months ago, he was passed over for a promotion that everyone expected him to get for a much younger person from outside the department. That gave him the push to try for another job on secondment to another airline, and he loves it, and it made him so much happier in his home and work life. So as so many have said, things happen for a reason and you never know what is around the corner. Stay strong x
Saw a snippet of the Adam interview on 20/20 and was surprised at how much make-up he wore in those days. I guess I didn’t realize it but I prefer Adam’s make-up the way it is now – generally more subtle. His eyes are so beautiful he doesn’t need as much enhancement as he used to give them.
Still love the eye make-up – just prefer it now.
Tommy is another one who looks much better with less on. In fact, his skin is so beautiful I wish he wouldn’t wear foundation.

–cwm so sorry to hear the news but now you will have the satisfaction of being the bigger person on the outside and critically appraising how sucky the person selected is doing on the inside. Now that you have gotten your feet wet in looking for bigger opportunities you may want to spread those wings and take your talents elsewhere. It seems that leaving an organization for even a couple of years makes you seem ten times more valuable when they try to recruit you back!
Ron and TLKC am totally serious about joining Kradamour for the fall adventure. RS and luval, please think about coming too. There is a Baltimore film festival in May of every year. Not as big but we could all get our feet wet!

Oh, BTW, forgot to mention one of my all time favourite movies which my son and I watched almost daily for a 3 year period when he was young. “Princess Bride”. Highly recommend it for all ages. Humour, Satire, romance, duelling…who could ask for anything more.
Ceddies, your connection to Hal makes you a mini celebrity. I think I’m going to go back and watch all of the Twilight Zones. Will be interesting to see if I still love them or if they haven’t aged well.

So much to look forward to!! We have a small film festival here in Syracuse too. Have never gone. But that’s because no one I know around here is interested. I am there for Toronto, though!!! If only for meeting up with peeps, seeing movie people and good food and laughs! Maybe Maryland too.
Now if only we can fit Adam or Adam/Queen in the mix it would be more than perfect!

I heard it twice fly near my house but missed it both times. The first time I wasn’t prepared but it cast a huge shadow, the next time it was too cloudy and it was flying higher. It will leave in the morning on it’s way to LA to it’s home at the science museum. That twelve mile trek from the airport to the museum should be interesting!
What does this mean? That is a very vague response from Shoshanna. Very soon considering it’s already the 20th there .
CWM, I know this doesn’t help right now but it seems to be the rule rather than the exception that the most qualified is passed over. I am out of the workforce now, but looking back over the years I saw it happen many times. I feel your pain!

TORONTO FILM FESTIVAL: YES!!!
It sounds like the French Film Festival in Richmond (with actors, directors talking with viewers, pre-release showings) but on a larger and more amazing scale. That is in March.
With plenty of time to plan, this seems like a go!

I like your attitude, in regards to the parallel to Adam.
Things do happen for a reason, and sometimes we find out later down the road. It still hurts though, and that can’t be denied.
I love Kradamour’s chocolate suggestion. Makes me think of Harry Potter, and the Dementor’s affect. Eating chocolate makes you feel better, and the darker the better.

I totally feel for your disappointment right now, especially after your many hours of interviews, presentations, and just plain hard work. Adam would love to talk to you about being the “runner-up”. It didn’t hurt him one bit, and it won’t hurt you either. Adam is out there doing his thang and making quite a name for himself. The same will happen for you. Keep up those high standards (as I’m sure you will). Another opportunity is waiting just around the corner that will be even “betterer”.

This is a little off topic but we seem to be off topic alot when Adam news is scarce. I live in a swing state in this election and am about to go off the deep end. The mute on the remote has helped. They run political ads constantly and sometimes in groups of three or more straight. The phone is also ringing. The only good thing is it will stop. I’ll stop venting now, but that felt good. I need some good Adam news now.

Just want to add I feel bad for this happening to Kris along with all idols that gets dropped from their labels…Especially when there are so many untalented people being played on the radio and performing at all the award shows.
