There were some black and white and sepia ones from the Glamnation that I just loved…sometimes less is more, and Adam in black and white can highlight parts of his gorgeousness that might be less noticeable when mesmerized (for example) by the color of his eyes. And the one where he is leaning over and we get a glimpse of his chest down the nexkline? Very nice…
Yes, Adam has talked about reading books. The Hunger Games most recently. He might have said he has a reader, I dimly think I remember that.
As for me, I have two tablet computers (an iPad and an HP Touchpad). Both have e-book capability, and if I read bestsellers I would probably read them on the iPad rather than buying the book. I love reading magazines on the iPad when I travel, and it is wonderful for reading foreign newspapers. But for the books I read (often in French, and usually older), I am better off just buying them from used booksellers online. Gotta say, the internet has made speaking/reading a foreign language so much more rewarding!

Mils, I read Gone Girl–apparently it’s popular–but I did not enjoy reading about that psychopath! I did enjoy recently The Beautiful Mystery by Louise Penny, a murder mystery, but unique…more than just a whodunit!

And where I pick up some of the most interesting books I have read…Dollar Tree. Yes, that Dollar Tree, where everything is $1.00. They buy publisher closeouts – there is a lot of drek, but at least once per month I find something amazing. I bought half a dozen books there last month.
Now all I need is time to read them…maybe if I post less often lol…

I wish he would have worn that outfit on fashion police. Although I prefer the black hair, he looks so sexy & stunning wearing black with the grey hair. I don’t care for the all grey look from head to toe like when he sang Is This Love or on stage in Japan.
My mother owned a bookstore from the time I was five years old. I love books. Two of my children have become librarians. I have my own personal library that my husband hates. He thinks books should look neat and all be bound similarly. I told him that’s an encyclopedia set. No thanks!
I love my books, but unfortunately my eyes don’t. I still love the touch, feel, smell of my books, but they are hard for me to sit and read because of a focusing problem. So I bought a Kindle. I can make the print any size I want. Now I can read the newspaper again (and the subscription is much cheaper than the print edition), and there are tons of free books to download. Granted, not all are gems, but there are enough to keep me reading a long time.
The libraries are starting to loan books for use with the e-readers too. So if you only want to read, but not own it, you can still borrow from the library.
These are just three sites that offer links to the free and low cost books on Amazon.com.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Adam didn’t carry an e-reader of some sort. They even make them for the iPhone and iPads these days. There’s no reason to be without a good book no matter where he goes.
I still prefer the black hair, but I’m getting used to the platinum.
I thought it was cute when Adam told Kelly that she was the inspiration for him to try the new color. Glad she hadn’t tried pink or blue when she inspired him.

I remember Adam from an interview recently, in OZ, where he said he hasn’t read a book in something like a year, too busy with his labor of love CD and travel/promotion. But, he said he does love to read and wishes he had more time to read.
When I was a senior in college, my roomate’s father owned a bookstore. The policy on paperbacks was something like, if they hadn’t sold in a certain amount of time, they would tear off the front covers and return the cover for refund, and keep the books. So, he used to bring us grocery bags of coverless books. Mostly romance novels, you know, the rip the bodice off the blouse type with Fabio on the now torn off covers.
I read a gazillion of those puppies, as mindless relaxation and a distraction from the stress of college. Let’s see, there was caveman rip the animal fur off sex, there was Roman Empire tear off the toga sex, there was Renaissance ripping off lace bodices sex, there was French or American Revolution tearing of bodices sex, there was Victorian ripping of men’s lacy blouses and removal of women’s corsets sex, there was Civil War-Johnny coming home from war sex, World War 1 and 11 careful removal of soldier uniform and ripping of women’s blouses sex.
Yup. I read a lot of books back then.

I still read a lot. I went through a Stephen King phase about 10-20 years ago. I went through my Oprah book phase also, but her choices were often so dark and twisted, I needed to quit her. Those books were bumming me out.
Now, I tend to like somewhat lighter fare. Some of my faves over the last few years were The Secret Lives of Bees ( far superior than the movie ), Memoirs of a Geisha ( also much better than the movie ), and, Hunger Games. Told ya’all, lighter fare.

Something to do with Glamberts not believing her insistence that the judges are picked and final!!! That she is correct…her sources are correct & “sorry your little snowflake didn’t get it”. or something like that.

Although I enjoyed the Xfactor they really spent too much time on these sob stories, especially the one where “Simon was moved”. LOL! IMO her voice wasn’t even that good.
False Stories on twitter that Adam was killed in a jet ski accident. It’s one of the same stories thats been used to report other celebrity false death reports. Fans aren’t happy.
MJ twitter controversy was:
MJ tweeted the “idol judges scoop”
I guess she didn’t get much reaction so she tweeted again
“did you see my scoop”
Some one tweeted that it wasn’t a scoop, that it had been already reported by others
MJ fired back that that person was mad just because her “special snowflake” wasn’t chosen.
Then MJ tweeted “Wow. You G-berts never cease to amaze me. Your reputation proceeds u. Do u know that? Not a very good reflection on your Idol. ”
The person that questioned her “scoop” never said anything about Adam, MJ just jumped on her, and then the person called MJ a bitch.
so MJ is trying to say she was justified in the rant because she was called a bitch but it was after she jumped on Glamberts saying we were a bad reflection on Adam.
Summarized but that is the gist of what happened.
I recently finished the Song of Ice and Fire series.(Game of Thrones) good complex series and he is still writing more.
My favorite books are The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. Love the characters the history, the time travel. She is also writing another right now.
I would like to go on record saying that I have no clue what is happening with the Idol judges.
If indeed this reported 4 judge panel is fact, so be it, but I now wish with all my being that Idol has a surprise in store whether it’s Adam or not. I just want mj to have to eat her words and have severe heartburn as it won’t digest well!

Watched Is This Love again – well, more than once, actually. Then listened to the interview on that show. All I can say is – American Idol is bonkers not to put this man on the panel. Gorgeous to look at, funny, sweet, smart – he would have been a BIG draw for the show. Like Randy’s going to do it – whatta laugh.
There must have been some politics involved with Mariah. Doesn’t make sense otherwise.

I was upset with her but I know the rules of the blog so I responded on Twitter. Not a fan of the nasty Glamberts and am sad to hear that they are considering a “twitter-shit” on the American Idol site as soon as the judges are announced. (Why? Because they paid Adam the huge compliment of considering him over all other Idols?)
That said, I was dismayed to see her bias and dislike so openly displayed. I am done with the site on principle but I will miss it very, very much.

I think we need to accept the fact that Adam wasn’t their first choice for the 4th spot anyway. They went after Enrique when they had Adam on their list and, when Enrique fell off, they went back to Randy. Maybe he was in the mix too early and the whole thing went on too long.
Obviously we are biased but even an objective person can see the value of having a former contestant on the panel as a differentiator from the other shows. From there it’s a quick jump to seeing Adam’s particular and special qualifications.
They missed out.
In a way, I’m glad we don’t have to worry about how the show’s ratings will stand up in the spring. The climate isn’t good for reality talent shows. Both The Voice and X Factor were down from the prior showings and the SYTYCD finale was down,too. They are cannibalizing each other and they have almost had their day.
