FWIW, Adam seems to use a lot of British expressions since he spent so much time in London this year, and then with Queen.
High tea, jelly ( for jealous ), saying things in an English accent on stage, etc.
I’m so happy for his ticket sales in SA. They’ll adore him there.

I doubt that Adam is watching all of them in entirety,I couldn’t and I have much more time on my hands. And frankly, some are not interesting.
mils…I saw Glee & xfactor…just a bit of the Voice. The Voice irks me because at the blind auditions when there is a good singer & a chair turns around, if the contestant is good looking or cute they cheer. If they are average there is only polite clapping. Don’t tell me it’s just about “the voice”. Looks count. They are all hypocrites at The Voice.
Can’t imagine they would keep Adam hanging on till just now – he must have known a while ago. But, then, he didn’t say he wasn’t on the panel – and why not if he knew. Confuzzled.
ulti…I think he’s known all along but was told he could not say one way or another by TPTB. Like I said earlier (& Miss Chaos first said), I believe he may not even address it. If by chance he’ll do mentoring, then he will talk about it. But Idol judge…in my opinion he won’t discuss it. If I’m wrong I’ll gladly admit it.
Mils, I watched dvr’ed Glee (I’m a Gleek), skipped Voice and fallen asleep watching XF.
It’s Reality shows overkill IMO.

Reality show overkill to say the least. I am actually liking the Voice better this season, gave up on it last time early on.
XFactor has Simon Cowell. Sorry. I just like him. He’s such a bad boy. I do skim through it though. They seem to have some good talent already.
Glee, I think, is off to a fantastic new season. The New York story lines look promising. And Kate Hudson was excellent. I even smell a guest star Emmy there.
I love that video mils. I also love the Iranian one and I retweeted it. So did a lot of other people. I love the McEwan brothers but their video was only okay for me.
I can’t say I’m particularly envious of Adam at the moment. I watched about a dozen of those videos and many of them are the kind that “only a mother could love.”

Here is my theory re Idol. They gave Adam a big fat retainer to not book any shows until they came to their decision or figured out if their first choices would be available and affordable. Keeping him in the wings was good PR for them and may have been worth it for him if he got something beyond good publicity for it.
A part of me is still hoping he has some type of role and they didn’t blow him off completely.
Hmmm, after seeing more, I think he should have categories: lipsync, dance, animation, etc., then pick bests of each. Just saw 3 English girls do a zombie hallucination dance, very very cute. Love the two posted above, and soooo many from Brazil, but here’s my fave from Brazil – very cute and she put some work into it, some laugh-out-loud scenes in here.

I don’t think Idol was in a position to ask Adam to keep quiet if they didn’t offer him anything. He probably just decided to let the news come from them because it’s better for his career to accomodate Idol, wherever he can.
I doubt Adam lost any jobs because of Idol either. Judging candidates were probably encouraged to contact Idol if potentially conflicting offers came up. When Adam got that offer for the October 17th event in Australia his management must have contacted Idol, which is how he knew he was still in the mix.
It’s tough to wait for audition results but Adam’s an old hand at it. Remember last weekend at Matinee he looked very happy with Sauli and I’m sure he knew by then.
We are less experienced at this and a little less resilient.
To tell you the truth, I’m just glad it’s over.

Q3 always sounds like an expert, doesn’t she? She’s an MJ regular and read the same poster we did. There was nothing on Twitter. We went looking. We read posts, she “receives multiple reports.”
The story is true, of course, but what a weird way for Idol to reveal a new panel. They treated the introduction of new judges as a non-issue. Maybe they will do something celebratory at the Lincoln Centre on Sunday before the judges’ rounds. It’s a pretty nice setting.
I don’t think I will watch and, sadly, I will hope for them to tank, even though Adam does get the benfit of exposure on their show.

TLKC, this season of Idol will tank due to curse of The Third Show and if it will produce WGWG6 I’ll die laughing.
I took it to mean that he has other great things in store for his fans. I also would bet money that he knew about the Idol situation (or lack of it) at the time of that tweet.

I have received multiple reports on this luval…
Here’s my theory: Fuller saw Adam night 2 of Queen. Realized that NOBODY can plan/execute a performance, song selection, lighting, wardrobe, etc. like Adam (he was mentoring his FELLOW CONTESTANTS, for Pete’s sake) and asked him to replace Iovine (who openly admitted he made bad choices for some). j/s – or, maybe they’ve created some completely new function we don’t know about. Maybe they’ll have FIVE judges, our FOUR and a commenting former contestant. Possibilities are infinite, really, if they are creative. (BIG question mark LOL.) Maybe even, ADAM himself had a suggestion/fresh idea for the show.
In the Rocco interview, he said he had a great life. Want to believe that.
And, with others, I’m sincerely over these talent shows – no contestant has ever remotely approached Adam, and doubt anyone ever will.
I’m ready to drop them all, follow Adam’s career, and start reading books again.
