Thank you for the kind words, but please don’t thank me. I am forever grateful to Adam Lambert, American Idol, MJ, yes her 
and now eywflyer for all you amazing friends I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and some I’m still hoping to meet. I feel closer to several of you than to some of my lifelong family members and friends. (Good thing they don’t read this blog. My AS- would be grass.

As a supposedly educated and previously fairly sensible adult female, I still can’t figure how come I became obsessed (as my husband, friends, family and y’all with the same affliction know) with one AFL. You are like another family to me and it’s the greatest fandom I could ever hope to be a part of. For over 3 years we have been on a happy wild ride that doesn’t seem to stop…coincidentally our BB is heading to sold out South African shows…did I say wild?
Bad time of the year workwise for me to go on safari. 
I’m just so excited for Adam though to be so popular internationally and much appreciated by overseas music experts vs the idiotic radio honchos here. 
I really hope Queen will tour next year with Adam. Those were the most incredible concerts. Truly electrifying. A divine, pre-ordained collaboration. Music magic that the world needs to witness. RIP Freddie

Hear, hear cher! I know that I feel closer to you and riskylady than to people who I have known for eons in RL. Who else would email me in the morning to make sure that I am OK because my absence on line made it seem that I had gone to bed early and got up late in the morning? And this is from half way across the world. Or who would come to London a whole week before the Sonosphere Festival(RIP) just so I wouldn’t have to be alone in the city? Our friendship started with AFL and is still centered around him, but is so very much more.
Morning peeps! What a lovefest “our” blog is! I am almost done reading a wonderful book entitled “Night Circus”. The book is very mystical and magical. What I love most about it though is the descriptions of the amazingly fast and close friendships formed from folks all over the world who are devout followers of the circus. Though the book takes place in the late 1800s these folks find a way to follow the circus across the globe. They write stories about it; they wear a bit of colour to display to others that they are part of the followers and they provide food and shelter to others as they meet along the way. This sounds awfully familiar doesn’t it?
Cher, it seems that the sold out SA was just a rumour. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will be true though very soon.
Ok, for those of you who purchased pre sale tickets through paypal. Did your notice from paypal say that you had actually paid ground control and not ticket master? Now I am totally paranoid that I did something wrong. Please let me know.
Let me say for all to hear a big fat thank you to Kradamour. Not only are you a wonderful friend but you have been kind enough to do all of our ticket purchasing for most of the past shows. It will seem odd not to have you with us in Arizona and for purely selfish reasons I hope that you won’t miss any more of our Adam-centric adventures.
It’s a mystery to me why MSN would want to advertise the line-up for a competitive network. As for Katie Couric, MJ called her out immediately yesterday. She said that it’s an old journalist’s trick to surprise someone who you think might know something by pretending that the announcement has been made in the hopes that they will divulge a titbit. Of course, J-Lo would not be in the loop at all (as we saw by her answer.)
I don’t think we should count on an announcement today. The reason people think it will be today is that producers rounds start today in Newark. A lot of people are theorizing that they will combine producer and judge rounds into this weekend (judges to be on Sunday and Monday) but they have only done that a very few times in the past and that was in the later auditions.
A couple of contestants have reported that they were asked to hang around for a couple of days after the producer auditions and speculation went wild on Twitter.
In 2010 Idol announced on a Sunday in a stadium-type setting near LAX and Ryan did the hounours. The place was FULL (probably Fox and Idol employees). Clearly he is a busy boy on weekdays so it’s more likely to be done on his day off, unless they announce on his radio show this morning. That would be a whole lot less hype than they’ve had in the past.
Maybe they could do a big thing tomorrow and then board planes for Sunday judging rounds but I’m going with MJ’s original guess: September 22nd.
This jives with what Randy told The View: that it would be sorted out over then next couple of weeks. (In 2010 they announced on Sept. 26, 2 days before judging rounds started.)
That said, no guarantee of Adam. Unless Nikki’s contract is stuck in Coke/Pepsi limbo or Randy isn’t a judge, Adam is not going to be on that panel.
Just remembered, MSNBC is in a ratings battle with Fox over the Voice and X Factor. It would be just like them to post the announcement on their website to take the steam out of Fox’s announcement. Especially if they are right, FOX’s announcement will be pretty ho-hum.
LOL, so Cher, ever the kindly mother hen, has privately emailed me to tell me that I actually have met Adamized and HK fan. So sorry but we always use our real names at these get-togethers and I am a little spacey on names.
I have also met rs and was feeling guilty after I got into bed last night and realized that I hadn’t added her name to the list of people I knew. I was too tired to get up, fire up the computer and rectify that. My spirit was willing but my body couldn’t do it.
So let’s just say that I loved our chat in London rs and if you do end up coming to Toronto, my door is open and Ron and I will be delighted to take you out and about. Of course, luval will have to come up for the weekend, too.

Geez, if Katie Couric was correct there certainly wasn’t much buzz hardly anywhere. Either people don’t watch her show or just don’t care about Idol anymore no matter who the judges might be.
Have you guys heard of the new flavor of the month “PSY” from Korea? He’s on the Today show right now. He has close to 170 million views on youtube for his one song???? Gangham Style. Well, good for him I guess.

TLKC, I was goig to mention that I thought we’d met in London, but I think it was very briefly. There were so many people there, and from several different groups that it was very hard to keep track of who was who. It would have been great if all the ALL people had managed to sit at one table, it definitely would have helped me put names to faces. It was still a great evening though. I managed to have a longer chat with rs and cwm, and had the wonderful pleasure of sitting next to little dutchess. I made the error of not taking any photos though to remind me of everyone…
I love having this site to come to even if I don’t post all the time. I feel very connected to everyone on here, even though we’ve never met. Its such a relief to have so many people that understand and feel the same way I do about Adam, that understand the need to talk about him, look at hundreds of photos and videos, again and again .But its not even just Adam now, I honestly feel that everyone on here cares about everyone else as a friend now too.
Your circle of friends sound so nice – living different corners of U.S. and Canada, keeping in touch on this site and having live reunions during concerts and visiting each other
I feel melancholic that I live so far and can’t join any concerts coming… But it’s a beautiful thing that people can find real personalities and friends in the internet, where writers so often hide behind false identities and hate talk. Even though I am kind of an outsider (new fan + other side of the world + non-native English speaker), I enjoy following discussion here. Such a tight community!

On another matter altogether, I happened to see E! News today (I saw the end of something about Adam at NYFW) and there was something about Justin Beiber. I couldn’t believe his blond hair styled exactly like Adam’s when he first went blond. We get it a few days late so some of you must have already seen it, too. Can’t someone collect some of those pics of JB copying Adam’s look and send it in to one of those shows. Someone should talk about it besides us!

and good seats at second show. SO not sold out, BUT a lot of tickets could

I have had the pleasure of only meeting one of you lovely peeps here on this site. I guess I am not as adventurous as most of you are, but hopefully that would change on this next tour. We had a most memorable lunch and I have never been so comfortable with a complete stranger before. We spent almost four hours discussing all things Adam, and I could have gone on and on, except for my daughter calling and asking, Mom where ARE you?
Also add that if any of you were in my town needing a place to stay, transportation, bite to eat, or anything, I would without hesitation oblige. Open door policy here! It is a strange phenomenom isn’t it?
Only problem is Adam doesn’t seem to care much for my neck of the woods.

I visited the pages of SA concerts – the first one is for 5000-7000 people and Johannesburg 19 000. That’s a radio station who organizes it I think?
missdfyed we did have a wonderful afternoon and I have thought of it often. Had planned on contacting you after London but the duke and I were still sick for weeks after we cut short our trip…so there went July and part of August. And family visiting from FRance for a month took care of the rest of the summer. We need to plan a “back to school” lunch! Talk soon!
FYI–PSY is managed by Justin Beiber and Carly “what’s her name” manager–he seems to find the “NEXT THING” and really promotes them–just to clarify, am still hoping beyond hoping that Adam get’s the Idol job, but don’t feel the carma right now but who knows????

I saw people on twitter saying that if the judges are mariah, nicki, keith & randy that does NOT represent AMERICAN Idol. The demographics are not what America is. Especially the Aussie.
Of course, Idol can do whatever the want, no matter what the demo is.

If Adam wasnt on the Idol panel, wouldnt he just say so, or was he told to be quiet till they announce the other ones, makes no sense, why should Idol care if he says hes not on the panel, this is so confusing. Or does Adam not really care enough to even address it. He only commented on it a couple of times, when asked, it may not even be on his radar, he has a lot of other stuff going on. IDK

I had the pleasure of meeting noskerdycat with fwachdr at our Atlanta concerts, noskerdycat stayed in our hotel and we stayed up until wee hours reliving the concerts…so much fun!

MJ just confirmed via twitter that the judges are indeed, Mariah, Nicki, Keith and Randy. Bah humbug.
If this is true…I’m ok with that. Adam has bigger and better things to do. I’m not worried about him at all. He’s a phenomenal entertainer and a very good business man. He will be just fine.
Maybe Randy will be there to help the other new judges understand how it works. Then he’ll leave.
