September finds blond Adam back in the US after a busy August touring Japan and Australia. What’s in store for us this month? A third single announcement? Confirmation about Idol judges (is Adam one of them?!)? More speculation of a Queen+Adam tour or possibly an actual Trespassing tour? Will he add more shows in the coming months? Even Adam’s hairdresser does not know for sure. So while we wait, continue to chat away about anything and everything Adam related. Enjoy!

had I known earlier you would have had a hot meal or 2 and a place to stay.

One of the many things that I love about this fandom is the way we open our homes to each other to facilitate Adam-related travel (and other travel, too!), as well as the more-obvious hotel room shares. In the beginning my friends and family expressed horror and fear for me, but it never occurred to me to worry or be afraid. During glamnation, when I accepted cher‘s invitation to join her in descending upon her brother-in-law in a neighboring state…and I didn’t know her at all, much less her brother-in-law…ooh la la, my peeps here were sure I would never come back alive. Now they just shrug and tell me to have a good time! (I always obey that last part!)

so much for ALF presales! Go to ALF events ,click buy tickets and get routed to a page for buying the tkts on SAt.Sept 15!!! Anyone have a better solution?

  3. TLKC says:

The same experience for me. I went to an Adam luncheon in Toronto and sat with a bunch of women I had never met. One of them mentioned the Cleveland concert in 3 weeks and said she needed someone to share her room. I said okay. Another 3 ladies asked if there was room in the car and then next thing you know, 5 strangers were barrelling over the US border on our way to see Adam.

We now call ourselves the FAB5 and we try to go together whenever possible. Four out of the five of us made it to Hammersmith.

    TRUST

  4. little dutchess says:

Happy Birthday, nkd!!! Hope it is/ was a great day!

  5. turquoisewaters says:

    Congrats on you tickets,jlurksacto.
In moments like this, I want to be retired and single and filthy rich. I’d make it my hobby to go to every single AL concert. (Not saying that jlurks is all of the above.)

  6. adamized says:

JOJOSIE hoping you are feeling back to normal and can once again look in the mirror and smile.

I so hope you decide to go to the Grand Canyon and to see Adam. I backpacked the GC right after college and loved it. ITA that we shouldn’t wait to do the things we dream of because you never know what is right around the corner.

Hope to meet you in Phoenix!

  7. little dutchess says:

Perhaps the Presale tickets are sold out???? Does anyone know?

If you want to go to Ticketmaster and use the fair password it is: fairfan12
Or, you might want to wait until Sat.
Presales usually have a limited supply of good seats, and I am guessing those are all gone. There will probably be better seats Saturday.

  10. Kradamour says:

Presales are such a double-edged sword. I have gotten a presale seat only to get a much better seat when the general sale opened. I wish that they wouldn’t release seats in little batches. A presale isn’t really a presale, IMO, if it only includes a limited number of seats. Makes it impossible to buy intelligently.
    Bah.
All the glamnation nightmares are coming back.
    lalalalalalal
    Won’t think about it.

  11. milwlovesadam says:

    I wish too.

    Oh, how I wish….

I have the travel bug something fierce. Being an Adam fan gives me reasons to do so. Like Jojosie, I scratched Hawaii off my bucket list. But, I’m itching to get back there sometime. Until then, the farthest west I’d been was Minneapolis ( west of the Mississippi ). LOL. Now, Des Moines is the farthest west I’ve been. I know, I know, Hawaii is waaaay west. But, it’s across the ocean, so it seems different to me.

As far as traveling with Adam fans, no worries, no fears, just joy. I’ve never experienced anything like it in all my 29 years.

  12. milwlovesadam says:

BTW. The Idol tour closed out in my town the 11th. They barely sold the floor level. Pathetic. The review was in today’s paper. What a difference from Season 8. The show sold out in hours. Scalpers were selling. Stubhub was on it. I had to go to a ticket broker in town to get my seats. Maybe it was the Gokey effect because of the hometown thing, but, that arena was solid full of fans. The screams for Adam were deafening. Louder than for Gokey. It was electric. It fueled my new addiction. I had never experienced anything like it. And I have been to loads of concerts.

  13. JOJOSIE says:

Jlurk where are you going to be sitting. I was over at Seat Geek and really wanted to buy in section 204. Right side of stage (Adams favored side) and only $69 but there are 2 and I only need one so I guess I may wait and see what turns up later. Happy birthday Nkd I gave a general birthday greeting earlier for all Virgos but since your the top poster I think deserved a special greeting. I was really disapointed that you didn’t make it to Des Moines as we had a great time there. Thanks for all your concern but my face has returned to normal. It was actually fun looking in the mirror today, something I don’t always feel. I wish I’d thought to get my phone out and take a picture but maybe it’s better not to remember. Grin

  14. milwlovesadam says:

Jojosie, I’m so glad your lovely face is back to normal. Good luck with your ticket search.

  15. JOJOSIE says:

Adamized Since I think I’ll be coming alone I am really interested in connecting with you and some others. GoatieGarden, my usual travel pal will be there for the concert but for that only as she’s attending a conference in Tucson and will drive up for the concert. I’d like to see where everyone is staying and maybe share some meals and Adam time. I think there will be fans from California coming and Rainbow Gal mention in Des Moines that she wanted to attend but I haven’t heard more from her. I think we may need to start using the planning thread soon.

  16. adamized says:

JOJOSIE, I’ll head over to the travel thread and post the basics for our travel plans so you will know our timeline and where we are staying. I bought 3 tickets today for three of us but all in slightly different locations. I was a bit confused and grabbed what I could. All the anxiety I went through during GNT came piling back. PTSS from fandom. Who would have thunk it??? Really Angry Confused Cry

  17. jlurksacto says:

As far as traveling with Adam fans, no worries, no fears, just joy.

I have some experience with this. Wink

A certain someone here, driving from California, readily agreed to pick up this stranger in Toronto and drive us to our first stop in Montreal, for an over night stay, on our way to Ste.-Agathe last year.

We shared a hotel room in Montreal and a two night stay in Ste.-Agathe.

I got to meet one of the nicest people I’ve ever met in my 29 years and had one of the best times I’ve ever had in my life!

I’ll never forget your kindness certain someone! Wink

  19. luval says:

And I met three of the greatest peeps for the first time the end of July 2011 on their way to Ste. Agathe! Wish there was a longer time at my house but the short time was lovely.

What a fun time…strangers yet I felt I knew them forever! Kradamour, Ceddies and Adamized! Can’t wait to do it again.

Never in my life have I done this either but would do it again in a heartbeat. Of course if there is a Trespassing/Queen tour, the magic bus will certainly stop here. The comforters are waiting!

  20. jlurksacto says:

I have some experience with this.

And thanks to Cher for getting the ball rolling. What a rocking
extended weekend that was. Even a prius with a navi that argued
couldn’t spoil it. Got to see Church St in Toronto – Queer as Folk
    central.

  21. TLKC says:

Just popped off for a bit of X Factor. The stage is too well-lit and the judges lack the gravitas. Demi Lovato is good but it’s really hard to tell because Simon does most of the talking and the others more or less agree. It may be better than The Voice but it’s no Idol.

Jojosie, I am so glad to hear that you have recovered from your allergic reaction. It must be scary feeling your body change (in this case, your face) and not knowing why or when it will stop. Allegies can be very dangerous. Just glad you’re okay and have a Trespassing concert to go to.

Ron, it is a wonderful story how you and jlurksacto met up for a perfect Glambert road trip. I will never forget that weekend. Should really frame that photo of you, luval, jlurksacto and me in the “rabbit hole”. And Cher, the mother hen, wherever we go.

Good luck getting decent tickets on Saturday, little duchess.

I guess the big question tonight is: do we know anybody in South Africa and are they any good with a video camera?

  22. TLKC says:

Oh, and I met nekkid, kradamour and eywflyer for the first time. I’ve also met turquoisewaters and little duchess. Hope to meet milslovesadam and JOJOSIE one of these days. Everyone on the site, actually, HK fan, adamized, glambotgram.

We would all be strangers to each other if it weren’t for Adam. The day he decided to try out for Idol was the day he changed our lives, too. My life certainly became more carefree and fun.

  23. luval says:

And TLKC I have to add that I met you,Ron, nkd, eywflyer, little dutchess & the duke, turquoisewaters, sparkle, mmm222, ovationimpact, milkywayfairy, csesq, goatiegarden, marmom7,glambotgram, jlurksacto, cher, riskylady…and more…all because of Adam F. Lambert. Thank you universe!!

eta: I missed Jojosie & milwlovesadam twice but it will happen!

  24. glambotgram says:

Did you all see that on twitter some are calling a guy on X-Factor tonight, The Fat Adam.

  25. luval says:

glambotgram…I saw that guy and “Adam” did not even come to mind in any way! Just a heavier set guy with black hair & clothes.

eta: here is that so-called fat Adam

  26. PlanetFierce says:

This is awesome since Adam always thought he was the fat guy even when he wasn’t!

  27. milwlovesadam says:

Packers are playing the Bears tonight, so Fox is pre-empting XFactor and Glee here, and most likely Chicago areas. I have my DVR set to record them when they are shown here after 11 PM.

I watched X Factor last night and actually enjoyed most of it. Simon was moved to tears by the last gal of the night, a most remarkable sight. Perhaps his manopause is setting in? ( Spelling intentional, grammar police out there!)

  28. milwlovesadam says:

Hmmm. Who have I met? Goatie, Jojosie, mlg, jlurks, adamaddict100, madnessinmotion, ppofp, so many lurkers popped up in Hawaii, many of THOSE fans who shall not be mentioned, Suz526, tchrdnce, rainbow, many from other fandoms too, and…forgive me if I haven’t mentioned you if we’ve met!

    And of course, Adam!!!

Jlurks, the seats we had in Des Moines were incredible. We were so close to him he was practically giving us a private performance. All I have to do is close my eyes and imagine it.

    Oh. And glamberthaf!!

I’m sooo looking forward to meeting more of you. I just know it will happen.

And thanks to Cher for getting the ball rolling.

Yes, God bless Cher. Truly. I wouldn’t have been able to go to Adam’s concert in Ste.-Agathe if it wasn’t for Cher’s magnanimous, caring personality.

I was lucky enough to sit next to her at dinner in Montreal (the night before Ste.-Agathe) where she shared her Baked Alaska with me.

I’d never had Baked Alaska before and had no idea what is was.

    What it was was good!

Thank you Cher … for everything. It was ALL very good. Rose

Goodnight everyone, I’m taking my friend Jack Daniels for a spin, then to bed. ( Jack and Diet Coke on the rocks, my new vice. Hey, don’t scoff, it’s a nice little drinkipoo. Four points for WW ).

  31. milwlovesadam says:

Ron, toasting you, glass in hand, someday we shall meet!!

When I was a little girl, my family used to go out to a fancy restaurant for Thanksgiving. ( Odd, I know, but it’s what we did ) and we almost always had baked Alaska for dessert. It was so yummy, and somewhat elegant. I haven’t thought of that in years. Thanks.

  33. nkd says:

Thank you for the last round of birthday greetings. I appreciate it so much! Kiss
It turned out to be a good day. We went out to a Mexican restaurant and had margaritas and tres leches cake. Birthdays just feel better with cake!

I am so thankful for all of the friendships made here and the opportunity to meet so many of you already and I look forward to meeting many more! Heart

For anyone who missed out on Arizona tickets this morning, they are still available thru the fan club website. I just searched for 1 ticket and it came up Section C, Row 11 …

Katie Couric revealed on tomorrow’s show that Nicki, Keith Urban, Mariah and Randy Jackson are new Idol judges supposedly to Jennifer Lopez. How she knows?????? Shock No

    Hoping for beaucoup twats!
    Yes

  40. Kradamour says:

In response, a representative for Fox told ABCNews.com, “Please note that the only confirmed judge for ‘American Idol’ is Mariah Carey. No other judges have been announced at this time.” Other sites have reported that the network was planning on officially announcing the new “Idol” panel by the end of the week.

    http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/entertainment/2012/09/nicki-minaj-to-judge-american-idol-says-katie-couric/

Hmmm…seems that if this was accurate, Fox wouldn’t be so cagey…
jlurk, I’m still on your team!

  43. sparkle says:

Just popped in before bed to wish nkd a very happy belated birthday!
Thanks for the group hug, Kradamour! I needed that!
And thanks, luval , for the shout-out – wow, I feel like part of the gang!

  44. Ron says:

Geez, I’m the last one to want to be a killjoy but …

    whooooo, the latest Couric blurb?!

I didn’t realize how much I wanted Adam to get the job.

Out of nowhere, this song immediately came to mind and encapsulates everything I’m thinking now.

It’s not over until it’s over though, right?

I still stand next to jurksacto.

But at the same time … damn it

    Music Note “The Party’s Over”

XFactor with all the fake side drama is getting too annoying for me. With so many talented people in the world, why would I want to watch some sad delusional person’s terrible audition???
(I bet they pay people money to play that part.)

  50. jlurksacto says:

    Let it go jlurksacto

Not till the fat lady sings (or Idol peeps) – probably, maybe today.
Don’t think Fox is going to let a competing network announce the
lineup of Idol judges. (not even Couric) Maybe Limbaugh – yah, Rush
    can do it! !
