OMG, Jojosie, how did you know I was eyeballing both red and black Australian licorice at Trader Joe’s tonight??? I decided to walk away from it. With no kids in my empty nest, that would leave me battling with my favorite treat at home, trying to resist it. If I remember, you liked the black, and said some nasty things about the red! Saying it wasn’t real. POSH I say! (( BTW. For anybody who hasn’t tasted the licorice mentioned, get thee to a vendor ASAP. It’s incredible.)
I wish I could get to Arizona or Texas. Not gonna happen. But good luck to anyone who is going. I’ll hope for good vids.

Ooooh, licorice. Red or black. My total weakness. I buy bags of it and give it to my husband to hide for me, and to dole out a few pieces only when I ask for it. Otherwise I will just sit and eat the whole bag at once. #nowillpower
The purple licorice is just wrong,though, IMHO. Ditto for the liquid center licorice that I saw the other day.

Loved that Gracia Harrison on The Voice tonight (MJ has the vids) – reminds me of Kellie Pickler. Like KP so much better than CU.
It’s almost autumn – think his new hair is reflecting the darkness coming.
Noticed the turn at noon today – looking out the back at the light in the trees – softer and at more of an angle.
Black licorice all the way! Even better, it’s the only candy my kids won’t touch, so I have it all to myself.
The only licorice I like(d) is Good&Plenty – for realzzz – used to buy it by the case during one of my preggies.

I really hope its not true about Randy being a judge. I never thought he was a good judge anyway, but I am so fed up with his overused cliches, we’ve got a hot one tonight, he’s in it to win it etc…..
I wish Idol would just announce the judges once and for all and put us all out of our misery. The only thing I;m clinging on to at the moment is that Adam still hasn’t actually said he ISN’T being a judge, although it seems more and more unlikely.
p.s. I like black liquorice too, but not the salty one…

I love the hair with the darker roots. He just looks so gorgeous! It is the first time I am really liking the silver.
My thoughts go out to all Americans today as we remember this horrible tragedy, all of those who died and their families. It drew the world together for a short moment. In Toronto, the downtown storefronts on Bloor Street replaced their Canadian flags with US flags for a whole week. So may Americans were stranded and the city opened up it’s heart to them.

Thanks, TLKC. My hubby wore his NYC Fire Dept. pullover in honor of those fallen as he does every year. Saw the piece about the “surfer” on the Today Show (he survived 9/11 by riding the wave of the debris). Then Paula Abdul comes on and I was just mentioning her a few days ago here (and was so gratified to have so many of you discuss her) – coincidence, I don’t think so.
Anybody else think that the silver hair color is a (conscious or unconscious) tribute to Brian and Roger?
On the Idol Panel – I am more encouraged than ever that Adam is on the panel. Enrique seems to be out and now they are resorting to rumors about someone (Randy) staying with the show in some capacity to try to stir up some last minute excitement before the announcement tomorrow. Adam is in NYC and so is Paula so my panel may still be a reality – Mariah, Keith, Adam and Paula!

Randy is in NYC, too. He was interviewed by The View and other New York press yesterday, wasn’t he? It will be interesting to see if he stays there or hightails back to LA, since auditions are rumoured for Newark this weekend. Adam, too. Unless the announcement/press conference is in LA, then he would have to go back.
I can’t see Paula in there. She didn’t work out on X Factor and doesn’t bring anything to Idol that Mariah doesn’t already bring (except warmth and humour, lol.)
For me the perfect panel is Mariah, Keith, Adam and who cares as long as they work well with the other three?

If my boyfriend is not an Idol judge, CBS will gain my viewership. I can watch Survivor, Criminal Minds, and CSI without having to change the channel. When it gets down to live shows, I can catch the actual contestants on MJ’s and see if anyone appeals to me. This judging panel does not instill allot of confidence that the final 12 will be in a genre I enjoy. With just Nicki on the panel, there is no hope for different or relevant Pop singers to advance because the other three will out vote her every time. Mariah will have Randy in her pocket and I’m not sure how far Keith will go to tarnish his image as a nice,sweet,laid back fellow. This panel will produce the same old same old. WGWG for the win.

I was still in shock, over Adam’s hair color change.
Paula would be fine on Idol, because of the format.
X-Factor was a dueling contest between the judges, and their categorized teams. Not a favorable combination, for showcasing the contestants fairly.
At least for the viewing audience, it seemed like a battle of the judges.
Paula would bring her own sense of encouragement & critiquing.
She makes much more sense than Randy, and her language skills are more diverse .
Paula is a team player, and would seem to be able to work with anyone.
jlurksacto, I do think you know something, and want to commend you on your diligence.
I do want Adam do get as much exposure as possible, and millions more people to fall in love with him.
Adam’s voice must be heard, or it is a travesty of biblical proportions. It just is!

I don’t see dark roots in the Fashion Police pictures. I think he’s still all grey and it was the lighting in the other pictures.
I showed my hairdresser Adam’s pic from the top of the page yesterday. She loved it and said that color is very in now. They had just gotten a collection of those shades. Of course, I was having that color removed from my hair!
