September finds blond Adam back in the US after a busy August touring Japan and Australia. What’s in store for us this month? A third single announcement? Confirmation about Idol judges (is Adam one of them?!)? More speculation of a Queen+Adam tour or possibly an actual Trespassing tour? Will he add more shows in the coming months? Even Adam’s hairdresser does not know for sure. So while we wait, continue to chat away about anything and everything Adam related. Enjoy!

cwm, you have an enormous plate in front of you.
    Dazed
Having had the pleasure of meeting you, though, I have no doubt that you can polish off the entire “meal” that was set before you and still have room for dessert.
Strong wishes for strength and patience and skill and the ability to keep your eyes on the light at the end of the tunnel!

sometimes have trouble finding words that are strong enough to convey the impact that Adam’s music and his voice have on me psychologically and physiologically.

Exactly cwm. There are people who have agreed that Adam had a very good voice, but no one I know outside of us glamberts “feels” him the way we do, and we understand each other implicitly with no need to explain. That is why I decided that it must be something genetic! I hate to think what my life would be like now if I didn’t have Adam and the true friends that I have made through him. It would certainly be much less rich and colorful.

As for the Idol gig, I am not quite sure what has changed with this new round of tedious rumors. If it doesn’t work out, I am sorry that his name has been dragged along for so long and that he will be disappointed if it was something that he wanted. But as I have said before,I HAVE COMPLETE AND TOTAL FAITH THAT HE WILL HAVE A LONG, REWARDING, AND SUCCESSFUL CAREER DOING ANYTHING HE DAMN WELL PLEASES. HE IS THAT GOOD. Love him and am thankful more than I can express! Big Smile

Thanks for your support, Kradamour. That means a lot. Smile

rs – I couldn’t agree more! Just thinking about Adam’s voice singing to me sets off chemicals in my brain.

And LOL did anyone here watch the VMAs last night and see this? Oooops.

  7. luval says:

Like ultimathule & Ron, I still want to know what He’s referring to when he said “trust a bitch”

  8. LadyNorth says:

cwm, I was just going to comment the exact words of yours that rs commented! Adam’s voice has that magical effect on me too, it’s physical!

I don’t like many original Queen songs (which I really like too) as much as I like them sang by Adam – I just love his voice singing Queen Big Smile

I have been searching for music in spotify for my party tomorrow. When I searched Bob Marley, I also saw there Adam’s version of Is this love!!! Even though it’s not officially recorded! I put it to my playlist, but not any Marley. There’s also many other Adam songs on my playlist Grin Let’s see how my guests feel… I have also picked many fun dancy songs from 80’s – that’s definitely my era Smile

cwm, RL disturbs fandom sometimes, but I think it’s ok to have a break or holiday from fandom too (not necessarily music itself)! I wish you the best, and strength to get over all the rocks on your path! Yin Yang

  9. cwm says:

That “trust a bitch” pic was created by a fan to use as her avi and she tweeted it to him. I think he just liked it and wanted to share it. And I also think he’s telling us to trust him – that “stuff” – whatever it is – will be happening.

ETA: Thanks for your kind words LadyNorth!!

  10. rs says:

hahaha, trust our cwm to get the real info for us!

  11. ultimathule says:

Thanks, cwm – love the pic wherever it came from.

HT&P go out to miss chaos and cwm – Adam Life (AL) is so much better than RL sometimes… Reminds me of The Matrix – would we choose RL if there was an alternative?

I just voted 1066. Smile And why do we have to vote and follow and stand on our heads to get radio to play damn good music? GRRR

Not liking the radio edit, I think it ends weird. But I still hope they play it.

Three family members voted so far – one daughter said, “many times.”

  23. luval says:

I really dislike the idea of groveling and begging again to the radio stations to get Trespassing played. Nothing has changed. Never heard BTIKM or NCOE and I doubt if I’ll ever hear Trespassing.

I do like the Grammy poll. You can only vote once. Can’t believe Chris Brown is second to Adam.

  24. sparkle says:

luval – I agree – Chris Brown? Eeuw!

  25. milwlovesadam says:

So, what do we have so far?

    Fashion Police

    Trespassing adds.

    Tap Tap Tap…..

    Need MOAR Adam.

  26. milwlovesadam says:

cwm, and Miss Chaos, huggz to you. Hang in there.

  27. turquoisewaters says:

So late. I hate to hear any of my sisters here with RL problems and aggravations.
cwm: Wow. Talk about needing to make adjustments. You seem like a super “together” person. I know you will do the best for all parties involved, and I know you will get it all figured out. Just don’t sacrifice too much of yourself in the process. You know how they tell you in the plane to put the oxygen mask on yourself first… (for AL addicts like us, this could be headphones Big Smile ) Big hug from me!
Ms Chaos: I am sorry about your difficult situation. I hope you can soon find a new place to love and call home. RL is really sometimes a b&%ch, there is just no other way to describe it.

  28. HK fan says:

Miss chaos, I hope your house hunting turns out to be not too stressful and that you find a place you love quite quickly.
wow cwm so much going on in your life right now. Its hard when the first one leaves for university (or college). I was miserable the whole summer before my daughter left, with a very unsympathetic husband who kept telling me not to be so silly, they all have to leave etc etc, He then proceeded to fly to the UK with her to settle her in, and completely went to pieces for hours after he had to say goodbys, I must admit I was a little bit gloating that he;d found it so tough!!! We will have to go through it again soon as she has decided to move back to London next month. But my son has just decided to take a gap year, so at least we haven’t got 2 leaving at the same time.

I’m so fed up with all these Idol rumours, just officially announce it already, put all of us out of our misery. I really think Nicki Minaj will be terrible as a judge, but it could be fun to watch just because she’d be so bad. I find it hard to understand how so many people on ..a certain site beginning with m…think she’s a great choice even though she’s so new to the music scene, like a couple of years, when in the next breath they slag off Adam who has 20 years performing experience as being too much of a newbie to judge….Don’t know enough about Mariah to say, but she doesn’t come across as very warm. I know nothing about Enrique, not sure I’d even be able to pick him out of a photo if I was shown one. And only know Keith from seeing him in pictures with Nicole Kidman. I suppose I will tune in for a while, but if the contestants are as boring as they have been for the last 3 seasons I won’t stayed tuned. what the child in me would really like if Adam doesn’t get it, would be for all Adams fans to stop watching out of protest….and for that to make a big difference in viewing numbers!!!!

On a lighter note, I saw this fan art on twitter, its amazing

    http://twitter.com/allakovalkova/status/244188940662366208/photo/1

and re that radio station poll for 1000 votes (I did vote), but I saw several tweets to them yesterday saying why make fans vote, and that they should be playing the single automatically because its so good, which I agree with.

  30. turquoisewaters says:

re Adam and Idol: I still don’t understand why he does not come straight out and says that it’s not happening. Is it possible he still does not know? If yes, who do these Idol producers think they are? I find this downright rude. They would get along great with the radio people. Self-important, small-minded bunch.

Not the most exciting video, but I love the description paragraph from the guy who posted it, and the sentiments behind it.

  32. dcglam says:

cwm and Miss Chaos…. I am so sorry for all the difficulties you are experiencing in your lives right now and hope for better times very soon. Thank you for sharing your stories with us. It truly does help to put things in perspective. These are the things in life that truly matter. Sometimes we need to just be taken back a notch.
Many of us are feeling disappointed right now about Adam’s seemingly not getting the Idol gig. We probably need to keep in mind that Adam has had experience dealing with career frustrations. As in the past, I’m sure his positive attitude and energy will help him sail through. I have total confidence that bigger and better things are in store for him.

You know, I’ve been thinking that we really don’t know what went on behind the scenes. I’m wondering if maybe some special interviewer will get the story out of him. I, for one, want to know!Wink It seems that everything usually comes down to dollars and cents. There is the good possibility that Idol did not want to pay much for Adam (even less than Keith), and his management team may have felt that the gig wasn’t worth if for the price. Hey, they may have figured that Adam would do better starting his Trespassing tour sooner rather than later. These could have been factors that we are unaware of. I’m sure if asked on an interview about this process, Adam would politely respond with something to the effect that there are politics involved. He would be correct, too!

On the radio on my way home from work this evening, the DJ was getting ready to play Home by Phillip Phillips. She introduced the song by saying that PP’s idol, Enrique Iglesias, will be the new judge on American Idol. I suppose she got the memo. Frown

  33. luval says:

I’m thinking that Adam does know but he can’t say anything until the i’s are dotted & t’s are crossed (and contracts signed). Of course IMO I believe Enrique will take the job but there may be a mentoring spot for Adam.

I still wish I had jlurksacto’s positive half/full glass mentality.

Can’t stand the radio dogs, turquoisewaters. Whether it’s Adam fans or any other singers’ fans, that if radio demands a vote to play a song, the comments should reflect the displeasure. I think it’s about time.

I’m in. I will probably watch some segments on the computer to satisfy my curiosity, but I believe Idol will have a very hard time keeping the viewership up. Once you have the reputation of a “dying show” it is very hard to turn that around. You would need something like a super exciting judge that gets people talking.

  35. turquoisewaters says:

As you can see I have a bit of a hard time letting go.

  36. turquoisewaters says:

PP’s Idol is Enrique Iglesias??? ROFL. Now that is hilarious to me.

  37. ultimathule says:

Adam’s at 53% in the Grammy Poll – the tag team of Brown/Rihanna are getting votes.

I think he knew when he released Trespassing the other day.

PPs Idol is Enrique Iglesias??? ROFL. Now that is hilarious to me.

Haha, I couldn’t even make this stuff up. That’s what she said…. Laugh
Now it could have been the other way around. Maybe PP is EI’s idol. Either way….. LOL

  40. ultimathule says:

Do you think he released it, dcglam, because it was time to get on with business? No Idol?

  41. dcglam says:

ultimathule…. I was wondering about that at the time — I was expecting them to wait until the Idol announcement. On the other hand, I thought maybe, just maybe they decided to go ahead and release it only because of the Dallas leak. That was my hope. Just my thoughts here…..

  42. ultimathule says:

Been thinking about the Trespassing videos that Adam asked for. Remember reading the article about how the majority of teenagers now get their music from youTube? Maybe there’s something more behind the request than we realize.

  43. ultimathule says:

More family e-mailing me to say they voted (Grammys, too). Excellent.

  44. cwm says:

Awww, you all are the BEST. Thank you so much for your expressions of empathy, understanding, and support. I’m just under classic “sandwich generation” pressures – I’m sure many of you have experienced this as well at one time or another. We just have to rise to the occasion, don’t we? If I’m not around here much over the next month, please know that I’m lurking when I can take a quick breather, appreciating you all, and still loving Adam to pieces. Smile

I love that we have such thoughtful peeps on this blog!
I got my Rolling Stone today and the first thing I did was go to youtube to search for the music that I wanted to listen to. (The difference is that I would then go to itunes to buy a song that I turned out to like, unlike my son and his peers.)
So yes, a lot of cute and interesting fan vids for Trespassing could def give a boost. When I went to youtube this evening to look for music, some of the songs had a LOT of parodies or fan covers, and I did watch quite a few of them which really cemented the songs in my mind.
    Adam is smart…
    Cool

  46. mmm222 says:

rs and cwm– I totally agree with your comments on the physiological and psychological effects of Adam’s voice on those of us who are susceptible to it. The sound of his voice gives me a major release of endorphins which takes me to a place I just can’t describe. It doesn’t matter what he’s singing or saying, it just has that effect. Watching him speak or sing brings it up another notch. Seeing him perform live adds a surge of adrenaline to the mix which is positively addictive.

  47. JOJOSIE says:

cwm if you need any information regarding services for seniors, your Area Agency on Aging is a great resource. It’s like a one stop for help and information center. I work part-time for one and we offer options counseling plus a huge data base of resources. I have worked with seniors for years and am one and sometimes we listen to strangers, in the health care field more than we listen to family. I said sometimes, but saying that ,strong family connections are so important. Good luck. I’m sure Phillip Phillips isn’t a fan of Enrique. I really do like the song Home however and downloaded it awhile back and play it alot, not as often as I play Adam however. Life is too short to spend it worrying about Adam. He’ll be fine whatever. Look how far he’s come and he has great future to look forward too, which he didn’t have a few years ago before Idol. I thinking stop now as I feel like I’m talking like everybody’s mother. Laugh

  48. milwlovesadam says:

Awww, Jojosie, I love your comments and advice. Like I’ve told you in person, you are the most hip lady I’ve ever met!!

  49. ultimathule says:

You’re so right, JOJOSIE – look where he was in the summer of 2008 – biiiig difference from the summer of 2012. Thanks for the reminder.

  50. HK fan says:

adam has dropped to 37% on the Grammys poll now, Madonna has surged ahead.
I have never rated her as a good singer, a good performer and good at reinventing herself, and some good songs, but really a very average voice.
