Deadline is reporting that “Fox appears to have settled on a quartet of judges for the upcoming 12th season of American Idol”
Joining confirmed new judge Mariah Carey will be Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban and Enrique Iglesias who just wrapped his tour with departing Idol judge Jennifer Lopez. Information on their salaries is conflicting, but Carey’s is believed to be in the $15-$17 million dollars, Minaj’s and Iglesias’ in the $10-$12 million range, while Urban is rumored to be earning about $3-$5 million.
If the new rumor is correct, I am wrong again. No Adam.
It looks as though Enrique has been offered anywhere from $4-10 million for Idol. We will see how much he doesn’t want it now.
Looks as though Adam is headed to NYC Fashion Week and will film with Joan Rivers for next Friday’s show. Fashion week ends on Tuesday, I think. Ellen has tweeted that he will be on her show and there’s PLL as well.
If we had never heard the Idol rumour, we would be very excited right now.

We still will be. Before we know it, this whole Idol ordeal will be a distant memory (bad one at that). I always believe that things have a way of working out for the best. I’m sure we will have this part figured out soon enough.
Adam will be beyond fine, and so will we. Adam can now move on with his promo plans for Trespassing, and we can move right along with him. However, I think I will have a difficult time forgiving Idol for “teasing” Adam and keeping him on hold for so long, just in case…. Now I totally understand Adam’s recent tweet about trusting a bitch! We love and trust you, Adam!!!
ETA: Whew, I am so glad to be done with this whole thing! I figure that now we can relax and enjoy the upcoming weekend. Adam, too!!

With the new panel Of judges Idol is moving into xfactor and voice territory. All about the judges. I feel sorry about contestants already. IMO Adam was the last contestant having any star quality. I’m intentionally omitting Scotty, cause he is in very specific genre that rest of the world doesn’t give shit about.
I am going to hold my judgement about their abilities to be a good judges until I see them in action. For the sake of kids (contestants) I hope I am wrong.

I’m grabbing a minute or two here at work, so I need to make this fast. I’m just speculating, of course, but here are my thoughts. I feel that Adam is referring to himself as the “bitch” and is letting us know that he won’t let us down, even though Idol did not work out. He has other “stuff” in the works, and he wants our trust in him. Does this make sense?

About Idol, Im sad what they are doing to the show. The only one I care about is Keith and he is going to be out of place with the rest, oh this is so sad, what once was a great show is down the tubes, I wish Adam was on there, only reason I would care to watch. After yesterdays bombshell, that our renters want back in our house (which I love) we have to move and have no where to go, with 4 dogs and a horse, and its gonna be a long battle to find something and move, we are near the grandkids and son in law working together and helping out, because my daughter moved out on everyone. Such is a sucky life,

Sending as much karma as I can muster for you in this very difficult situation – as far as the living arrangements, at least, I can pretty reliably say as a landlord that this is as good a time as any to move: lots of peeps get wanderlust and move in the early fall to be settled by the holidays, so the odds are in your favor that something will open up for you.

Hi all. I’m excited about Trespassing as the new single, and I like the radio edit. I like both versions. The radio edit is tighter. Although I enjoy those breathy breaks, I had wondered whether they would work on the radio, so I think the edits are a good move. As long as all of the “Let’s Go!”‘s are still there (and they are), I’m happy. I really really hope it’s successful.
If the newest Idol rumors are true, then I’m disappointed for Adam and pissed off at Idol for stringing him (and us) along all this time. I’m about ready to say “F*ck them.” I’ll continue to hold out hope, though, that the rumors aren’t true until we get the official word from Adam and/or Idol.

I’ve been absent from here for a bit, but sorta managing to keep up. RL is pretty overwhelming at the moment. Last weekend, we moved my elderly mother-in-law out of her house of 48 years and it’s been a rough transition, and next weekend we move my first-born out of our house to start college. And my elderly mom just had knee replacement surgery and my elderly father is unsure of his ability to take care of her. So many big important life transitions for people I care so much about and who need me. All this on top of intense pressure at work for me, and I feel like I’m about to blow a gasket. I’ve been listening to the Trespassing album every day while driving and cooking, and Adam’s music is quite literally helping me “keep my mind off the edge.” Thanks Adam.

The effect of Adam’s music on us really is amazing, isn’t it? I have the Queen concert on constant replay in my car. I have decided that all of us Glamberts have a common gene that is activated when we hear his music and it affects us in a physiological way that just doesn’t touch the rest of the gene pool. That is my theory and I am sticking to it. I just can’t explain it any other way.
So this is (supposedly) what Idol can’t wait to sign…ugghhh. Although, Nikki’s response/remark doesn’t surprise me because…she is that (crazy) person.
So, rs, your theory about Glamberts having a common gene activated by Adam’s music, “Does that mean he is a force of nature?”

And rs, your theory has merit. For some people, Adam’s music and his voice just don’t connect. I, on the other hand, sometimes have trouble finding words that are strong enough to convey the impact that Adam’s music and his voice have on me psychologically and physiologically. It’s crazy. But I am forever grateful to have found him and to have his music and his voice in my life.
