Okay, so one more vacation story. So, we’re in a town called Fish Creek, lots of shops open at night, hubby is off getting ice cream, and I’m, well, not.
So I stroll on down to one of the shops in an old fishing shack, it has lots of inexpensive imported ca-ca and tschatcshkes, you want a Buddha statue? Check. You want a bamboo flute? Check. You want a silk purse from India? Check. You want some hippie dippy scarves and bangles? Check. You want some rolling papers? Check. I’m sure if you asked the right person, you want some ganga for your vacation pleasure? Check.
And what’s playing? Marley. Is This Love. Some long version. I’m just shopping and grooving. Hubby comes in, with his ice cream . I’m singing along to Marley. I’ve always loved this song, but, of course, Adam gave me a refresher course in it right before my trip.
Hubby’s other funny comment ” Does music always make you so happy?” Well, yes, hubby, it does make me happy. Thanks for noticing. But, be quiet, and let me listen. I’m not leaving until the song is over. I look around the shop, the owner is bopping along to Marley, several customers are swaying to it, it’s not just me! ” How do you know the words to this song?” Hubby wants to know.
Aye. I give up.

I am so happy that Trespassing is the new single. It’s been my favorite all along. I was beginning to think I was alone as here I was hearing raves about Cuckoo, Runnin, Shady, etc. When I ran into mlg at the concert, I asked her what her favorite on the CD was and she said Trespassing, and I said mine too and we did hi-five. She then asked me what my least favorite was and I said Pop That Lock. She said, yeh, mine too and we hi-fived again. It was great to meet a like mind. I hope it gets some radio play. We all know he has more than one problem with radio, but my suggestion would be to dumb a few songs down. I mean loose what his detractor call OTT, showing off and screaming. We fans love this. We and critics know how talented a vocalist he is. But radio listeners IMO just want easy to remember and repeat words and a beat and a not to deep theme. His biggest hit, What Do You Want From Me has that. Jlurk I’m with you, I’m not listening to any of the gossip about Idol judges. He’s in.
They edited the breakdowns between the verses, at least from what was played tonight. I assume this is the official radio edit.
I like the cd version, but this is a consise version for radio. I think it works well!
It looks like they shaved 30-35 seconds off for the radio edit.

I saw your troll alert oksana. It made it onto the side bar on the opening page – you know where they show a sampling of recent posts. I thought “oooohhh caught in the act.” I checked it out and the troll was so obvious and an idiot.
If it makes any of you who are worried about Enrique feel better, tickets for an Oct. 24th Enrique concert in Istanbul went on sale at the beginning of last week. (He has another concert in the Arab Emirates on Oct. 26th.) Why would they start selling tickets for a concert that conflicts with the early Idol judging rounds if he was serious? You can’t start Idol judging rounds on Sept. 22nd and complete 7 cities in 4 weeks. Oh, and Enrique has a concert in Texas on September 22nd.
Also, the New York Post article about his not wanting the job was posted on his official website for a couple of days and his fans were gung-ho about him not accepting. Only one wanted it.
Don’t know where this is all going but we shouldn’t give up yet.
Personally I have decided that jlurksacto’s military connections have put him in touch with some cracker-jack spies who have bugged the Idol offices, which is how he knows that Adam has signed.
It still seemed long to me. I like the song, but it gets repetitive and loses me a little after the halfway mark.
Live performance is another issue entirely! Adam could go on forever and I would just watch/listen happily…
Adam also has concerts scheduled in October. One in Melbourne, Australia.
So, I’m not sure we can rule out Enrique based on that.

Some on Twitter said that we can buy the single on iTunes, even if we have already downloaded the cd because it’s a re-edited version. Is that true? Hope so.
I know, but Enrique was supposedly in Idol negotiations last week. He had to know that the Istanbul concert was a definite scheduling conflict. The tickets went on sale on August 27th – last Monday.
In Adam’s case, I believe his management used the October 17th OZ concert request to check in with Idol and find out what was happening. When they asked if that date would conflict, they received confirmation that he was still in the running (and yes, it was okay to book it.)
My theory and I’m sticking to it.

re radio version: I can see they cut off the “exhale” before “one day I was tripping…” and the break before “I ain’t got BS…” Can’t say that I like the changes. I love that exhale! And these little pauses in the original give the song room to breathe, the radio version sounds a bit rushed to me.
But oh well, if radio does not play it, I won’t hear it anyway. And if radio against all odds does play it, then all is good and I won’t care one bit what it sounds like.

I wanted to ask you about the DVDs jlurksacto. Are they made from the 6 GB torrent file as opposed to the 1 GB conversion? If so is there noticeable difference in quality?
