    Re PennyRoyal adding time AND extending the offer to their whole catalog…WOOT! I’ll go buy those fleur de lys earrings now. First I’ll send a quick thank you to Tim for his generosity.

    BTW if anyone is wondering what to do with the calendar at the end of the year, Michael’s has some 12″ square frames for $3 each. It fits perfectly. Or if you have room, and a cooperative household, and would cut up the calendar (especially if you have a spare), a separate frame per photo would make a really nice wall.

    missdfyed, what a great story! I think if I had the chance, I would have done the same thing as you. Sounds like it’s a lovely hotel. I still can’t believe pap-gate was a year ago today followed by all three Florida GNT shows!

    kradamour, I love that idea with the calendar. I was wondering what to do with it once January rolls around. I was actually hoping for a new one for 2012. It would be great if it became a yearly item. Smile

    Thanks nkd. I’m not going to listen to the whole program, but, reading Kalahari’s post was wonderful. And, I never did see the enhanced version of the song, with all the audience screaming edited out. So beautiful, haunting and emotional. What a performance. What a performer. Gorgeous.

    Somebody, please cast him in a movie.

    missdfyed thanks for sharing your story. I get a secret thrill whenever I am in a place that Adam has visited. Staying at the hotel must have been wonderful. It would have taken a whole lot of willpower for me not to try and get the down and dirty from the hotel staff. Glad your husband enjoyed the stay even after you shared your ulterior motive.

    That improved video is so beautiful. I can’t believe I didn’t watch it when it first appeared.

    I agree mils. That was the first thing that came to my mind when I heard it. Not much was in my mind after, except for that song. It was incredibly touching.

    Hello everyone! I’ve posted a new thread that will be the home for “How I Became a Glambert” stories as well as concert recaps. As I mentioned at the beginning of the month, this will be our first “members only” thread, which can be viewed only by registered site users. Since this thread is intended to be a permanent feature of the site, please stick to the topic there, with the normal day-to-day chat staying in the monthly threads. Concert specific chat or recaps can still go in the thread for that concert, if one exists, such as Ste. Agathe. Since I don’t allow comments in the Glam Nation Tour recap posts (too much to keep an eye on), your recaps of GNT shows definitely can go in this new thread. I know some folks have posted such recaps in the monthly threads in the past, feel free to repost in this new thread so they will all be in one place for easy reading in the future.

    Thanks to kradamour for coming up with the idea for this thread!

    Since we are now starting to have members-only content, I want to let everyone know that I’ve installed some new tools on the site to prevent spam or bogus user registrations. Also, I receive an email every time a new user registers here, and I will take action to delete any users that appear to have suspicious or undesirable usernames/email addresses, or who post comments that I consider unduly negative or inappropriate. Folks can have confidence that only legitimate Adam fans who are registered here will have access to the members-only content.

    ETA: responses to people’s recaps or experiences should be posted in the new thread too, since it would be confusing to discuss posts in a thread other than where they are located, and we want to keep all of that discussion members-only as well.

    I’ve gotten the new thread started with the story of how I first became aware of Adam, and some of my related experiences since.

    9/17/10 Melbourne florida GN show. This is when Adam had the altercation with the pap, Adam “took him down”, question of battery charge, turquoise shorts, middle finger, his high hair was back and he messed up Sleepwalker (I’ll have to re-check that last one. lol)

    Majors and Minors: Meet Cameron DeFaria

    Cameron talked about his experience working with Adam.

    … It was such a cool moment working with Adam on stage presence. I even got to play guitar for him when he sang to us. It was pretty insane. He is such an individual and Im glad that I had that chance.

    Hope to get to hear him sing with the kids on Youtube soon.

    Doesn’t seem like a whole year since papgate. I am still having trouble getting my head around the fact that FYE is already almost two years old!

    Son went to college and I now have a room for an office…NOT keeping a shrine for the absent son lol…and am thinking about putting up some framed Adam pieces…not yet. Soon.
    Actually, my trip to Ste Agathe stopped most of the eye-rolling. When I gathered with real people that I had met on the blog and had actually been communicating with for a long time, it made sense to everyone that I go meet them in person and enjoy the concert together. Smile

    kradamour, I went to a wonderful fall harvest/wine/art festival today and thought of you. There was a vendor with beautiful art and jewelry from France there. Lots and lots of fleur-de-lis. I picked up his card and can give you info if you want on the fansite. The jewelry was very pretty.

    What fun for Suz526 and the gang! SYTYCD puts on a great live show. I went to only one…the very first year when Benjie Schwimmer won (Lacey Schwimmer from DWTS’s brother).

    Well, SNL should be starting up soon. Maybe this year we’ll have an Adam showing there. If his new single is successful it could happen. Gosh I wish he could do Outlaws of Love. Maybe on Ellen or the new Rosie show.
