It’s time for our September chat thread. Hopefully this will be the final relatively quiet month before Adam’s new single is released. As always, please keep the posting guidelines in mind, and welcome any newcomers. Enjoy!

    For once I beat ya, glambotgram! I just looked at my guide on my TV and I see the show is repeated at 1:00am tomorrow morning where I am…EDT. I think I’ll record it just to see that preview!

    One last thing on the Kradison concert…I looked at the thread from that show and saw this comment from someone who was there:

    And really, Adam didn’t seem raunchy or inappropriate at all. I found the his AI set more naughty. His set tonight was totally fitting with the little club atmosphere, and I felt he moved around the stage really well, and really, often stood still and wasn’t hyper. Except for some occasional attempts at high kicks. The crotch rub thing lasted 2 seconds, if that, and wasn’t a big deal, at all.

    Adam’s voice was the big news of the night. When the band’s mix wasn’t overpowering, his voice really cut through the room. People who were sitting in the VIP section all stood up for his set (like during the tour). Thank goodness no one cheered for the various Kradison pics during the tech set ups. It was just three musical acts, and not really about idol. Other than WLL and Kris’s mashups/covers, there wasn’t much idol awareness. I noticed a lot of younger fans, like teenagers and 20s. Yes, there were some very large, slightly older women. But they were outnumbered by the 20 somethings, in my view.

    9/15/10 – the Glam Nation Tour plays its second Atlanta date at the Tabernacle. In honor of LP’s final show with the tour, an epic 11 minute long reggae version of WLL is performed during the encore.

    Bowling was epic too, my team was tied for first place in the league after the season was complete, so we had a three game rolloff tonight. We were then tied in total pins for the three games (which almost never happens in bowling), so it came down to sudden death – each person bowled one frame. We finally lost then – but it was an epic battle.

Adam and the audience was like a circus ringmaster and the people under the big top waiting rapturously to see if the tightrope walker could stay on the wire.

    eywflyer, loved your recap of your tournament lol! I used to love to watch bowling on TV when I was a child. In high school I loved vector physics. So why am I not a bowler? (shakes head)

    Thanks for that close up Strut Video Kradamour. I don’t think I;ve seen that one before.
    Is it me, or did anyone else have trouble keeping focused on his face???

    Bad luck missing out on the bowling win eywflyer. Sounds a great match. I used to play in a small ladies league a few years back, wasn’t much good but had lots of fun.

    Just stopping in to verbalize that some of us have very weak willpower; when exposed to links leading to the Kradison concert, we relapse immediately into a trance-like state and proceed to watch videos again (and again, and again). That is why I am still up at 2:13 a.m. when I should be sleeping in order to rise and prepare for Orlando trip with cher, michelle, rs, floridagirl, suz526 and margie 32127 tomorrow. Fortunately, forgot to feed cat and said cat threw a fit, interrupting my trance and forcing me to abandon computer and feed him.
    Huge effort to resist returning, will now go to bed.
    Night all you night owls, but thanks for the memories!

    Morning! Now didn’t any of you notice that his comment was “looks like an 8th grade production of Hair”. Shame on you for not recognizing our BB’s voice. ….JK, it took me to the 4th replay to catch it since I was totally mezmorized by his laugh. Can’t wait till next Thursday!

    Makes me laugh when Nina Garcia finds him smart, handsome and talented. Where has she been? LOL Would love to see him walk the runway but I’m sure he doesn’t. Now that I think about it, has he ever walked a runway???

    OMG can’t wait to see the videos that are created for that classic hits billboard contest! What on earth would one DO with a 9 x 18 foot Adam billboard??? Luval‘s Adam Jr. is one thing (and indeed it is!, so glad to have seen “him” in person!), but this is bigger than a house! Rolls Eyes

    No need to recognize the voice, re the 8th grade production of Hair…the comment was totally Adam! I love that he is on Project Runway, another toe-dip into fashion. I would love fashion photo spreads, he is so photogenic and loves the camera as much as the camera loves him. Smile

    Very cool: I just learned that our church is being recognized in November by Equality Virginia, our state’s branch of the organization that honored Adam, with a community award for our long-standing commitment to HIV/AIDS ministry.
    Thought I’d put that out there because so often we only see the other side of churches, the ones that condemn.

    I have two walls that could hold that poster. One in the living room, of course it would cover the windows, but Adam is sunshine enough! The other would be behind my bed.
    I wonder if hubby would think things had gone too far! Wink

    Or maybe, it could be hung where it wraps a corner, then covering two walls!
    Now that would be an Adamphernalia room!

    NKD You totally crack me up. I am bent over laughing at just the thought of bringing a huge poster of Adam into the master bedroom. That would not go over well. Direct competition (if you know what I mean) would not lead to happy endings. ROFLMAO!!!!!

    nkd…I love my faux zebra skin Adamphernalia box. I just measured it…16″long, 10 1/2″ wide and 9″ deep. It’s full! It’s not big enough. Have to go out and buy another.

    Had the poster contest been around before Ste. Agathe we surely all could have put together an awesome video. Ron would be the centerpiece and all of us would be the “bitches”…Like the FYE video!!

    btw those guys folding the poster should be rolling it up. The folds are not a good look for Adam!

    I feel a little odd posting this experience that I have to share with you. I’m fairly new here to you although I feel like I know you all because i’ve been a lurker for over a year(first on mj’s)Anyway here goes: Two weekends ago was our wedding anniversary and my husband suggested going away for a couple nights and thought SoBe would be fun.(We live on the west coast of FL so it’s a quick getaway.)He started looking online for hotels and I said let me look too (you know where I’m heading right?) I had to go back to the pictures of the pap scuffle, turq shorts; about one year ago today. The reviews for “The Raleigh”were excellent so I presented that hotel along with two others to him and after reading the reviews, he picked the same one!! The hotel was great, built in 1940 and had all of the charm from that era.The hotel staff was wonderful and the food out of this world. Alot of celebrities have stayed there and still do. I was so happy with my little secret, my husband said at one point he was glad we stayed there and not some big chain hotel; he said it had alot of history. I said “more than you know” and confessed. He was OK with the whole thing and we had a wonderful time. Whew! Thanks for letting me tell someone and please don’t think I’m over the top crazy!

    No, luval, I didn’t see any glitter, and it did enter my mind but thought requesting the same room would be a little “weird”. The pool bartender was really a character and I so wanted to ask him if he had any Adam stories but I didn’t get a chance.I’ll just have to go back!!

    I’ve been watching PR from the beginning (on Bravo) and I just love the show (some seasons more than others). I normally DVR it and watch it the next day. Well, for some reason, I stayed up and watched last night and about 10pm I realized it wasn’t over yet and that it’s now 90min (guess I didn’t pay attention before) anyhoo…I had to stay up and see how it ended. Then the previews came on for next week and I recognized Adam’s voice right away….and his giggle. There is just something about that man.
