    Adam and GaGa were offered the part. IMO glad Adam couldn’t or wouldn’t take it. He would have been typecast forever IMO. Tim Curry said it happened to him.

    As much as it would have been a romp and soooo much fun to see Adam in the lead, I agree luval. Heck, even offering him the role was type-casting in itself.

    However, that he was offered the role is high praise. That he was referred to in the article first, and only by his name ( Idol blah blah )before Gaga’s, speaks volumes of his fame and cred.

    Nice way to wake up today….

    But, the question still begs to ask…what else has he already been offered, and what else is still in his future?

    mils Agree with what you said about typcasting by even offering him the role. How I feel about Hedwig too on Broadway. I certainly hope he’s been offered other things.

    Poor Adam, he must have the mother of all jetlags! And then he has to go to China, Dubai(?), France and Sweden. Then back to US for all those Dec shows all up and down (and WHEN/HOW does he prepare tour??????)

    I agree, Adam stay away from roles like that. But you know it is too bad that he has to be so careful with those kinds of things because we all know he would kill it.

    mils– I totally agree with your comments on the Morongo Wicked Game. I got lost in that performance for weeks. Unbelievable! I desperately wanted to hear it live and just about lost it when he performed it at Fall Fest. (See my recap for the unfiltered version of my reaction!) I really hope that he keeps performing it as a special treat for all of us with tickets to upcoming shows. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for you next week, mils.

    So Adam loves David Bowie’s “Faschination”, “let’s dance” and “life on Mars”, “Ashes to ashes”… Did he not mention “Life on Mars” during his entrance as Elliot Gilbert in Glee ?

    If I was asked the same question I would say:”space oddity”, “ashes to ashes” and “fashion”.

    I wonder if Evil in the Night will come back for Halloween? Will he take his costume from the song?
    And I agree about Wicked Games, it was my favorite song that I was so hoping Adam would sing on Idol, but I think he would have melted the TV like Simon said, and too many TVs would have been thrown out the window, of course we would all have been passed out on the floor!
    Off to watch it again!!!!

    This is literally the very first thing I ever heard Adam sing. I don’t even remember how I came across it. I never watched Idol, and NEVER knew they had a tour. But his voice on this medley blew me away, so much so that I played it for hubby and it blew him away too. So powerful yet full of beauty and tone.     After this I plunged into every YouTube I could find and was submerged for months. In fact, still am.
    ETA: Because of this I watched the AMAs just a few days after and that was the clincher actually.
