As October begins, Adam has just announced the official radio add date (October 8) for Trespassing, which is the title track and the third U.S. single from his album of the same name. A Trespassing EP with a radio edit and album remixes will also be available on October 16. After limited success for the first two singles from Trespassing, Adam likely needs this third single to be a hit in order to continue onward with the Trespassing era, at least here in the United States.
After an October 13th concert date in Australia, Adam will return to the U.S. for a pair of dates during the second half of the month, on October 17th at the Arizona State Fair in Phoenix, and on October 29th at the Texas Tango radio concert in Grand Prarie. There are some nice-looking guys on the show, but Adam puts them all in the shade. A camera and his face – that’s all you need.
I checked iTunes. Cuckoo is #147 on Pop. It took 40 minutes. I know that #147 on iTunes is not much, but it was nowhere before.
Let’s wait and see.

So by now we all have a new plan for future hypothetical Adam encounters in planes: act as if you could care less. Looking back at my 1-second elevator encounter (together with glambotgram), I am kind of glad I was totally taken by surprise and could not prepare some awkward attack — I just said Hi as if I saw him a couple of times every day.
Darn, I missed PLL. (RL meltdown.) Somebody report please. Was it just what we already saw in the preview?

Cuckoo is #109 on pop. You guys have no idea how carefully I spell “cuckoo” after my initial mistake months ago when the album came out (o instead of u).
My favorite part of the entire show was seeing Adam’s name in the beginning credits….. Special Appearance by Adam Lambert!
And all that buying of “Cuckoo” is not from Glamberts. Primo, Glamberts already have an album, secundo it’s different demographics. I’m curious where it’s going to end up….

I haven’t seen PLL here on the west coast yet, so I can’t comment. But twitter was going crazy over Adam being on the show, and there were several Adam-related trends both in the US and worldwide. And 99% of them were positive. So it’s great exposure for him to a great demographic!

Okay. So I watched this show that is targeted for a young audience. It’s not my cuppa. But I’m not their demographic. Who cares if I liked it or not?
I’m curious as to why we were able to see all of Adam’s moments already. I was hoping that we hadn’t seen everything and that we might get more.
I’m even more curious as to why there wasn’t an ad for the CD. Sometimes there are CD ads these days. Even just a 5 second, “Trespassing is available in stores and on ITunes.” with a picture of the CD.

I had to work late so I got on twitter about 10 minutes before ppl started and put in Adam in the search and let it go. I went back at 730 CT to see what the number of tweets was 2,462. I had to leave at that point but it would be facinating to see how many tweets were about him in the whole hour. Scrolling through the tweets the vast majority were positive. Makes the “OMG Adam Lambert” WW understandable. They, RCA, really need to take note of this. At least they sent out 2 tweets today. Wanting to stay positive here!
The Program Director sets the playlist at the station. The DJ just plays what’s on the set playlist in the order specified. I don’t think DJs have much discretion anymore to depart from the specified playlist, unless they have some sort of “request hour” or something built into the playlist.

I just get frustrated by the immense popularity of him and PP. I do think that Scotty will sell millions of Christmas CD’s. It’s a perfect combo. Sickeningly sweet country boy and Christmas songs. And that throwback classic country voice.
I won’t be buying it. For several reasons, but, it will sell big.
It’s a great night for Adam, to end a fun day. He joined Instagram, posted a marvelous zebra pants picture, created a fan frenzy over that, and was on PLL, is selling CD’s and singles like nuts, and is trending on social media.
It’s a good day.

His fanbase bought it already. I was looking for his album on iTunes overall and couldn’t find it (first 200). Maybe I’m blind.
However his audience is physical CD buyer, so I could be mistaken. Unless you are fan of his, why would you buy ANOTHER X-mas album?
I’m not predicting anything regarding PP. I have no idea what his album might sound like, and as Carly “Call me maybe” example showed ,having big hit doesn’t mean one sells gazillions of albums.
Maybe being on PLL will convince some PD’s to put TSP on the air.

I love that one of the first photos Adam put out there on his instagram was a pic of Sauli with Tommy. Not thinking that will stop the cray, but still it sent a nice message.

It looks like Adam is getting quite a bump out of the PLL “piece of crap”. Think of how much better it would have been if he had performed the songs live for the show instead of lipsynching the album versions. But he was still impressive, especially to the uninitiated who don’t know any better. On the other hand, I doubt he could sing properly with those teeth in.

I go to Starbucks fairly frequently, and once a week (usually on a Tuesday) there’ll be a card on the counter – a free download from iTunes. This week it’s a Van Morrison song from his new album. Don’t believe I’ve ever seen Adam’s single promoted like this – wonder how it’s done.
