As October begins, Adam has just announced the official radio add date (October 8) for Trespassing, which is the title track and the third U.S. single from his album of the same name. A Trespassing EP with a radio edit and album remixes will also be available on October 16. After limited success for the first two singles from Trespassing, Adam likely needs this third single to be a hit in order to continue onward with the Trespassing era, at least here in the United States.
After an October 13th concert date in Australia, Adam will return to the U.S. for a pair of dates during the second half of the month, on October 17th at the Arizona State Fair in Phoenix, and on October 29th at the Texas Tango radio concert in Grand Prarie. I too am loving everything that has come out of New Zealand. What a great round of interviews and activities. I love it when Adam feels so welcomed and embraced that he just relaxes and can be himself. The off-the-cuff “You’re the One that I Want” is a treasure! As is the whispered “Thank you Glamberts, I love you.” As is Adam the Weatherman!
Speaking of treasures, I don’t think this has been posted yet. It’s behind-the-scenes footage of the ZMTV co-hosting that Adam did with Polly and Grant. They left the camera running – and focused on Adam – even when everyone was off-mike during ads and songs, so we get to see and hear them just hanging out and chatting during the off-mike times. Really great stuff – we get to be a fly on the wall and just watch Adam be relaxed and chatty. He even plays with a baby! Oh and I love watching him during the Girl Talk time – he’s so into it! And I love the make-up-in-the-hair tip he offered up, by the way

I agree. Face too white. Lips too red. Shirt too silly. Any of us could have done a better job. Hey, take that Gareth Pugh jacket and some eyeliner and you are half-way there, kind of like the dark side look of the BTIKM video. Clearly they were going for something else that maybe went better with the story line. Then again “Cuckoo” is a pretty silly song.
Orbs–not sure I believe they are anything significant, but I’ve had several show up in pictures. Most notable was one with my youngest daughter and my niece who were both pregnant at the time. There are several orbs in that picture that hovered above the two girls and are definitely not reflections off anything.
Psychics–I don’t necessarily buy into that whole thing. I don’t want to know the future, even if they could tell you. The future is not written. It is what we make it. However, I do believe in the psychic mediums (like John Edward). I don’t live far from Cassadaga http://www.cassadaga.org/ and have been there several times with my sisters. Most of the time I find them very accurate in describing a family member who has passed, and the message they give me is meaningful.
Loving all of the NZ stuff that’s been posted. Wish Adam could get that kind of attention and love from the press here. I don’t even care if they love him or not (the fans do, and that’s enough!) but JUST PLAY THE MUSIC!!!
Ghost stories–
As a kid, I had a couple of ghost sightings. There was an old out-building on our property that the previous owners used for parties. One day while on the swing set, I looked over at the building, and an old woman came out the back door, shook out a rug, then looked over at me and waved. Well, the back porch where she stood had long ago collapsed and was unusable. My dad used the building for storage and there was stuff piled up in front of that back door, so no one could open it anyway. Totally creeped me out.
This house was very old and had been very small–three rooms originally: kitchen, bedroom, living room. No bathroom. There was a second bedroom that was added before we moved in, but it was unfinished. I was scared of the outhouse we had to use (I was only three years old and remember it well!) After I’d grown a little older, I was sleeping one night with the bedroom door open, looking out into the living room. There was a small party with dancing, although I couldn’t hear any music. The room was dark, but I could see the women were dressed in long gowns from an earlier era. That’s when I started sleeping with the blanket over my head so I wouldn’t see anything else.
A cousin who used to babysit for us would bring his girlfriend over and take her to the back bedroom. He’d tell us to stay in our room or the bogeyman would get us. Heck yes I believed him!
I believe in all kinds of things.
Psychics? I do believe that there are a few, but not nearly as many as claim to be. But I don’t think that they read the future so much as they read the person for whom they are doing the reading.
My father came to visit me several days after he passed away. I had only been married for a few months when he passed, and he had not seen me since the wedding, and had never seen our apartment. After the burial, I went back to Virginia and was making dinner one evening a couple of days later. I felt someone watching me and thought my husband had come home early – I turned to talk to him and saw that it wasn’t my husband, but – for just the tiniest flash of a second – my father watching me. I know that he came to check on me before he could leave for the next life.
And there was a ghost in my last house, built in 1895. A benevolent ghost that my son just loved as a baby; he would kick and laugh and coo, looking at the “person” he clearly saw standing in the corner of the room where his changing table was. The ghost and I had one small altercation, but then we came to an understanding. He or she would stop the washing machine – there had never been one in the house before, and he/she hated it. I would start the machine, leave the room, and go back when the cycle should have ended – the lid of the washer would be up and the machine off. It made me crazy (I was washing diapers back then.) So one day I just sat on the top step and explained to the ghost that the machine was important to me, that it washed the baby’s diapers, and could I please just do a load of wash when I needed to. I never had a problem after that.

Ghost stories, next generation–
The house we moved into when we came to Florida was part of an estate sale. The owner was an old man who died in it, and they next of kin were out-of-state and wanted a quick sale.
We got rid of most of his junk (kept some of the furniture items). My kids slept in two bedrooms that were across from each other, and the bathroom was between them at the end of the short hallway. It wasn’t long until we realized the house was haunted, probably by the prior owner.
My kids would hear the toilet flush, then the sound of an old man shuffling down the hallway to the living room, hitting the wall in attempt to balance himself. Once in the living room, he’d sit on the couch and pick up the old-style channel changer for the television and start clicking. They never saw anything, but they could hear it very clearly (all four kids–who were aged 6 to 17 at the time). My oldest actually fell asleep on the couch one night when the old man came out and sat on him and started changing channels.
They became quite used to him showing up nightly. Personally, I stayed out of that part of the house late at night. I did not want to see or hear anything! We added on our bedroom and bathroom, so it was too new to be haunted.
The kids are all grown up and on their own now, but when they get together, particularly at Halloween, they’ll share their memories about our “ghost.” I’m really surprised they weren’t scared by him, they just thought it was interesting.
I can’t really say I have had the ghost experiences that the rest of you have. I did have a visit from my father about a year after he passed away. I was having some conflict in my life and he talked to me all night one night in my dreams. Now I could have just been dreaming, because I really needed him at that time, but I believe he was there with me all night.
Never had a ghost experience in a house or anyplace else, never saw any orbs or unexplained things in pictures. But I do believe that there are spirits among us.
My mother had seven daughters. When she passed, all seven of us had a significant dream with our mother in it. In all of the dreams, there were the same elements–water, a beach, a storm or storm clouds gathering, the color red, large picture windows for example. One night we were chatting online and one of us mentioned our dream, and we started comparing notes. When you put them all together, we could see it told a story and we spent a lot of time trying to figure out what Mom was trying to tell us. We finally decided she was trying to get us together just to talk to each other and gave us a puzzle to work out. She was probably watching and laughing at us. It would be just like her.
In my dream, I walked into a hospital room, and there was a man in the bed all hooked up to tubes and IVs. There were huge windows that were almost to the ceiling and floor. As I looked out I saw a beautiful lake, rimmed by a small beach and woods beyond on the other side. The sky was a beautiful blue, but in the distance I could see storm clouds gathering.
I saw that the man in the hospital bed was my husband, and then my mother walked into the room, dressed in red. As I stood by the window looking out, she came to me and told me everything would be all right.
About a year or so later, my husband was taken to the hospital with chest pains. It was a brand new hospital that we had not had the occasion to visit before. When I walked into his hospital room the first time, there he was laying in bed with tubes and IVs. The windows were huge floor-to-ceiling, and the view outside was a beautiful lake, small beach, and woods on the other side of the lake. It was the exact scene that I had dreamt. I took a couple of pictures because I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and wanted to share it with my sisters. And I felt confident that everything would be all right. It’s been over 10 years since then, and while my husband is still battling heart disease, he’s still with me and doing all right!

Ditto to all who commented on the too much makeup, fangs, etc. This is what I was trying to express the other night. Yup, it’s a Halloween situation but any of you could have done that look better & fiercer! Adam himself too but I guess all he was doing was “following orders”. We don’t know yet, but it would be nice if the un-made up Adam were shown on the show. Kind of a before & after Adam. Don’t think that’s gonna happen, though. I think we’ve seen the only Adam we’re going to get. Which is fine. Love him no matter what!
I agree. That looks adorable. My co-workers were talking about vehicles they wanted, and one mentioned a yellow truck trimmed in black. She called it her little bumblebee. She was going to go check out the price. I couldn’t help but think of you-know-who.
I don’t talk about Adam at work. One of my co-workers is a Mormon and is very anti-gay. He remembers every bad thing about Adam–especially the incident in Finland–and thinks it’s his typical behavior. Of course, it’s only the sensational stuff that makes the news here–Adam kissing his band mate, Adam fighting in Finland, Adam in full makeup and costume, Green Adam, etc. I suppose the Pretty Little Liars episode, as fun as it sounds, will add to that: Adam in full makeup, glam vampire, etc. But if he can capture the attention of the younger demographic, maybe he can overcome some of his current obstacles.
ITA, luval, but I do wish that peeps who have never seen him before (or only on Idol) could have the full frontal gorgeousness experience at some point in the show!

the caulfield cup livestream is at a nice sensible time for me, or at least should be, but I will be on the other side of HK island watching my daughter in a football match, so will have to catch up with videos later.
Hopefully, the songs on PLL will peak interest in people enough for them to go and check him out on youtube and discover all the sides to him.
ot, it was the 10th anniversary of the Bali bombing yesterday.There was a memorial over at a club in HK that lost several people in it. we knew one of the people that died, not really well, but he played football with my husband. It hit hard in HK, I think at least 10 of those killed were from HK, but it also hit many of the sports guys hard as Bali is a place that many of the sports teams here go for games and tournaments. In fact my husband was in the Sari club only 3 weeks before. And there was definitely a feeling of ‘that could have been me.
It was amazing and I had goose bumps too! Maybe I should have saved the stories for Halloween…

Great ghost stories! I could read them all day. Especially the physical experience that you had with the washer, Kradamour. And the subsequent discussion. And great to hear that your kids just took the ghost for granted, Ellessay. Never experienced anything myself, unfortunately. The most I’ve had is a definite sign that I have a guardian angel, and once someone/something tried to write via me, but it scared me and I threw my pen down. I have regretted that action ever since!
So, among the entertainers coming to my town this week are Adam Ant ( LOL ), Jerry Seinfeld ( would love to see him, they had to add an extra night here due to big ticket sales ), and Casey Abrams. I thought Casey was fun on Idol, and have listened to most of his CD and found it to be quite good.
So, here’s the write up in today’s Cue section of the paper about the upcoming shows on Wed and Thurs at our casino:

So, it was a delight to see Adam’s name in my paper. It does seem that his name is frequently dropped when Idols are mentioned, and that nobody can get their name in our paper from Idol without his name being brought up as a comparison.
It’s odd. I’m so happy that Adam is viewed as such a success. Yet, I do feel kinda bad for the other Idols who always are in his shadow.
I’m not going to Casey’s show, but it is cool that he has two shows in our town. I have a feeling Haley might pop in. Chicago is pretty close…
