As October begins, Adam has just announced the official radio add date (October 8) for Trespassing, which is the title track and the third U.S. single from his album of the same name. A Trespassing EP with a radio edit and album remixes will also be available on October 16. After limited success for the first two singles from Trespassing, Adam likely needs this third single to be a hit in order to continue onward with the Trespassing era, at least here in the United States.
After an October 13th concert date in Australia, Adam will return to the U.S. for a pair of dates during the second half of the month, on October 17th at the Arizona State Fair in Phoenix, and on October 29th at the Texas Tango radio concert in Grand Prarie. Haha asIf….I wondered about the snail too but one Thanksgiving I ate out and had escargot as an appetizer. It was fabulous and I was the only one who would eat it!
Haha, asif, I didn’t catch the snail in the lineup. Now I’m wondering too. Maybe eat, drink, party so much that one would only be able to move at a snail’s pace? Will have to wait til Kradamour checks back in for her answer.

Ron I also peel raw sweet potatoes. I peel them cut them in chunks drizzle with olive oil, kosher salt and fresh ground pepper and roast on high heat until tender. This is my family’s favorite way to eat sweet potatoes.

Just read the Sam Sparro thing. There is a big difference between “angry” in the headline and “unhappy” in the body of the text. And he was shocked to hear…so I am thinking somseone told him an extreme version of the televison show (RoveLA?) where the women said something like a perpetual hope that he would turn – but she said it with a big smile and clearly was overstating the case humorously.

Guys, I know escargot is a food item to some, but it just has a yuck factor for me. I was trying to skirt the issue. I rarely eat meat, period! But escargot would totally ruin my idea of Thanksgiving Dinner.

But, I make sweet potatoes the same way you do glambotgram. I also use them in my juicer. I also make a dish for Thanksgiving where I slice them in circles and fan them out in layers with apple slices, drizzle butter, a drizzle of orange juice, a little cinnamon and brown sugar and bake. It’s a hit every year. And it beats that gloppy marshmallow stuff hands down.
Sorry, no offense intended to the lovers of the gloppy sweet potatoes with marshmallows.

I would like to give Sam Sparro the benefit of the doubt. This sounds like he’s being quoted out of context.
But, who knows what our guy says about his fans when there’s nobody around. I know he loves the Glamberts, but, there are some crays out there, shippers, who I’m sure he has mentioned to his friends. Of course he has, it’s part of his rise to being to famous.
Some of his fans are simply everywhere, and proposition him all the time, even though we know he’s gay, and even though we know he has a boyfriend.
Like he said on RoveLA, ” My fans know I’m full fag.”
Yes, we get it. It doesn’t change his beauty, his sexiness or his talent at all. Heck, for most of us, his age alone means he’s out of bounds for us. Then, he’s a famous gay uber gorgeous uber talented man. He’s sooooo out of bounds it’s ridiculous!! But, he’s so very very very appealing and attractive.

mils, your sweet potato dish sounds wonderful. I’m not a marshmallow fan, either. Except for tons of them in my hot chocolate!
Re the snails…one quick thought (this is how I present them to my class when we have snail tastings): a snail is not a garden slug. French snails are raised on snail farms, fed snail food, and for 48 hours prior to harvest, they are fed only water to completely clean out their insides. What is a snail but a land shrimp? They have a very similar texture – a bit chewy – and even a similar taste, although snails have an earthy element to the taste that is not duplicated in any other food I have ever eaten. My teen son loves them and asks me to make them.
When I serve snails to my class, I don’t require that anyone eat them, but when the reluctant ones see how much some of the students enjoy them, I rarely have a holdout. Many students ask for seconds and thirds.
So keep an open mind! Not slugs at all, sort of shrimp.

LOl I haven’t made “gloppy” sweet potatoes for years. I do sometimes mash them with butter and vanilla and put a crunch style topping on them. (brn sugar butter pecans)

It’s funny, there are two dishes that most Americans make and eat for Thanksgiving that I simply cannot stomach. One is the gloppy goop mentioned above. The other one is the Green Bean Casserole made with Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup-glop with those canned french fried onions on top.
Urg! Ick! Yuck!!
And they show up every single year. One year, somebody asked me to bring green beans to the dinner. So I made a lovely dish of fresh steamed green beans with toasted buttery sliced almonds on top. The whole bowl was eaten, and the other bowl of glop sat mostly untouched. However, the gal who made the glop was apparently insulted by the gall I displayed by not bringing another bowl of the horrid stuff. And, to top it off I had brought my sweet potato dish which was also completely eaten. Oh, the horror!!!
Should I even confess about the times I’ve made twice baked sweet potatoes? If you guys want to know about them, I’ll divulge.
Think we should mash the snails together with the sweet potatoes – top off with a jar of marshmallow glop – then broil.
Kids will love it.

I am very much like Adam in that I am not a true political person. However, I am so done with hearing TV commercials in my DC area that are encouraging Marylanders to vote against yes to Question 6. These commercials are totally focusing on the family (mother, father, child) as a unit as if this proposition would take this away. That seems to be the entire focus. No, nothing is mentioned about equal rights for all. Only that “we don’t want to take away” the family unit.
Ugh, we are not taking away anything. A vote for Question 6 is merely a vote to end discrimination. That is all!!!
