Well, fall has arrived and it’s time for our October chat thread. This is the sixth monthly chat we’ve had on the site. Thought about using a Burning Man photo for this month, but decided to continue with the Adam getting awards theme with this photo of Adam and Leila at the 2nd annual PFLAG National LA Event.

Still hoping for a new single sometime soon, but maybe not this month. Enjoy the chat!

    Oh mils, the tiger pants. Did he think he would be anonymous looking like that? What a sexy dreamboat! I am confused. Have we seen those tiger pants before?

    Oh btw…I have heard from the ladies at decadent fibers. I had e-mailed them because of a little trouble ordering. They said “all of a sudden our business is getting many orders for the ADAM LAMBERT colorway….are you all members of an Adam Lambert group?????? Where did you find us?”

    So I told them about this blog, and all about the Glamberts. And I asked where did they get Adam Lambert as a name for one of their yarns. A glambert among them? So maybe I’ll hear from them.

    PS. Has anybody seen Homeplanet today? The banner is Gokey, Eggplants and a certain codpiece, nearly fell off my chair with that one!

    I think Adam may have been wearing those pants in that club pic from last week or so with Jonte. I remember seeing leopard on his legs, but not recognizing them. And about that pic, do you suppose that he bought that blue butterfly shirt while shopping that day? Wink
    (Way too invested in the boy’s wardrobe!)

    Hi guys, Bridget Daly here for ClevverMusic. Adam Lambert is opening up in a new interview for the Advocate and talking about his upcoming album, which recent got bumped back to a 2012 release. Though fans do have to wait a little longer, Adam promises a more personal album, with synth-pop, electro-funk and singer-songwriter influences on it.

    He tells the mag quote, “The last album was a little bit more of a fantasy escape…even my image for that last album felt very theatrical and kind of over-the-top and intentionally tacky. I get a kick out of making artistic statements that are kind of ridiculous.”

    Adam goes on to say his fans can expect a lot of fun and upbeat tracks, saying quote, I’m trying to convey to my audience that you really can’t judge a book by its cover, and there’s more to the universe than you can see with your eyes. It’s like existential pop.”

    OMG, I fell almost out of my chair hearing Adam and AMAs int the same sentence again!!!! But then I read too, that it was Adam Levine. Boring. (I would have died worrying about that performance, though, overinvested as I am.)

    riskylady, I know we’d all be incredibly nervous if a second AMA performance happened, but HOPEFULLY he’s learned his lesson and would blow everyone’s mind with his talent this time rather than his antics!

    I think Adam has learned a very difficult lesson in a very public and difficult way.

    And, he has literally performed over 200 times since then, sure he’s been over the top, goofy and sexual on stage, even smoked a blunt, but, that being said, he would not be one to squander this “second chance” were he to actually perform on the AMA’s. He will need to knock it out of the park!

    The best thing to do would be to not put him on after Gaga again. Or maybe blindfold him, so he can’t see what happens on stage before he goes out.

    mils: I agree. I think he would think very carefully how to do another AMA performance. If he did it too tame, people would say he caved. If he did it too wild, people would say there he goes again. Difficult to navigate IMO.
    On the other hand I can certainly see the “bring it on” perspective.

    I love those new pics from the Advocate photoshoot. I love the shirt! It’s very cool the way it is asymmetrical. I have a couple of asymmetrical tops — it’s a pretty popular style now.

    Re: VH1 Unplugged – I think that Adam will probably end up doing a VH1 Unplugged session, just not in 2011. There’s no reason for him to do one before his album is released; I strongly suspect that he’ll do one once the album comes out in 2012. That Hollywood Reporter list of VH1 sessions in 2011 (that then got refuted) was probably just old from when the album was slated for November.

    Re: AMAs – Holy crap, can you imagine? I agree that he would need to think it through very carefully to have it strike just the right balance. I bet it’s Adam Levine, though, not AFL.

    Hi ceddies, you are right. I am 8jean8 from Mj’s.
    I have lurked here, on & off from the beginning.
    Real life, if that is what you call it, has kept me from many things. But…not Adam. I try to fit him in, as often as I can.
    His music has sure helped me through some fragile times.

    Welcome back 8Jean8/twilightmagic8.

    I don’t know about you all but the past few days have been alot of fun. Can’t imagine how much work I won’t get done once the roll out really begins.

    I’m with nkd in regard to the AMAs and agree that having him earlier in the evening would be a good thing. I’m not sure how he could take the pressure (not sure I could) but to see him nail it for that audience would be so great!

    Here’s hoping for an unplugged in 2012.

    Hurry November!!!!!!!!!
