Ultima, MJ’s recently had a thread where she asked peeps what other shows she should cover, cause as you mentioned she needs hits. During the discussion she express her contempt for Adam fans in not very subtle way..Sorry, but I’m not going to wet my pants each time one of her favs performs at Frog & Snail festival or in impressive 140 capacity venue and don’t feel like apologizing whenever Adam gets high visibility gig like Behind the Music, or THS…
lol – so true, Oksana – make a point of praising the boy whenever I get a chance – there’s a few others still there, too, who are manning the trenches. I actually enjoy it since it annoys certain people. Besides he is the finest singer today.
I have Adam’s S8 performances, both with and without the judges, but it was great seeing that entire two-hour vid posted above (yes, I watched it). There’s no contestant who’s come close to his entire run on Idol. Never will in my estimation.

cwm, with Firefox I right click on the photo then select “View Background Image”.
That way you can save a large version of the photo.

mj’s response on that thread was to me, somebody had asked where all the Adam fans had gone, they;d also been looking at past numbers, I commented that many had left as they were fed up with having all their positive comments deleted while while all the crap could stay. She answered in her usual abrasive way, slamming Adams fans. I was going to reply about ‘it was that kind of attitude’ that made so many leave but didn’t. Probably should have….will next time

Yes, my absence for the past week was due to nothing more serious than having to be crazy busy at both work and at home. But I can feel myself relaxing a bit now, which always brings me back to Adam and my friends at ALL.

I was particularly touched by this recent tweet from Adam:

I have to agree with cwm. I would never have believed that I’d become this crazy for anyone, let alone a Pop star. NVM the travelling to multiple concerts, etc. My feelings for Adam grew into a feelings for a special community when I met all of you. On MJ’s, of all places.

Just watched the premier episode of Asias next Top Model….I know the HK contestant, she went to school with my daughter and they have just been flat mates for more than a year. Its weird but cool watching a tv show where you know someone…and she got best photo for the first week

Here is an adorable account of a fan encounter with Adam in his hotel lobby in Hong Kong. I can totally hear him say that friendly “Of course!” because that’s exactly what he said to me when I asked him for an autograph and a hug. He says it with such warmth and genuineness.

Haha, the Glambulge Weekly may have some competition soon. I listened to The Adam Lambert Hour yesterday, and they mentioned someone will be starting a new magazine for fans titled “Aura” – it will be for ALL fans, international, and will gather info from fans, etc.

In that full (almost) Arizona State Fair vid, during PTL (about 18:20) Adam goes into his mic routine. The vid flips to the front row of the audience and the gals are all screaming in happiness – and the cute guy with them holds his hands up to his face in alarm – it’s really funny.

luval– That guy wasn’t with those SPG’s after the show, so I doubt he was with them. Watching the PTL video brings back some great memories from the Arizona show. That video catches the audience reaction but misses what they were reacting to. Thanks to goatiegarden for her wonderful video that captures the mic action in its full glory.

Hopefully most internet service providers are directing traffic to the new site by this point. If you know anyone who is still stranded at the old site by Monday evening, have them email me at eywflyer@adamlambertlive.org and I’ll see if I can help them out. It turns out that there is a procedure I can step folks through to force their PC to look at a different nameserver than the default one assigned by their internet provider, which will allow them to access the new site.
Hopefully by Monday afternoon almost everyone will be directed to the new site with no action needed.

Stream was pretty good. Had both my PC and Laptop on at same time – slight delay in timing between the two – interesting.
Loved how he walked in and had to duck (speaking of the duck – lol). Good interview – hope that’s the last of the AMA/Beach/Finland brouhahas. Would have liked more of his pre-Idol life and discussion of the creation of Trespassing’s different tracks. How he feels when he performs them especially.
But, overall, very nice.
Will watch it again when the YT invariably pops up.
I agree, ulti, re the pre-Idol life. This might be the most he has ever talked about it, actually, in an interview. Not sure there was anything new, but it was packaged together into a cohesive picture. I enjoyed that part very much.
A really good interview. I think it is interesting that Adam seems to step back and away from FYE more and more as time passes. Not that he is disowning it by any means, but clearly in retrospect there is a lot that he doesn’t think is part of who he is now.
I really liked the point that he made that when he was growing up, marriage wasn’t an option that was on his radar and so to a certain extent it still isn’t. But that kids growing up now will grow up with the idea of marriage as a possibility from the get-go and it will be on their radar.
I totally got that. When I was little, there were no women attorneys. It would never in a million years have occurred to me to go to law school; and I ended up there totally through serendipity, but I was born to study the law.

Yes, Krad, it is interesting about his stepping back somewhat from FYE – he pretty much said he wanted then to show off his voice – this time, in TR era, it’s the song and what lies beneath that are important to him.
Such a lovable man – and, as I’ve said many times, all we want is the world to love him the way we do. Seeing his warm reception in so many countries and the way different nationalities respond to him is very encouraging.
Just watched the stream of the 60 minutes. It seems like this was taped a long time ago. Before Queen. I’m too tired to do the research of when he was in Canada in the spring.
It was very nice, he is so articulate and poised. But, I’m so sick of the Finland drunk questions and AMA’s. It’s just bloody time to get past it already. Adam handled it all really well though. He looked fabulous as usual.
OT: Went and saw Argo today. Wow. What a movie. Strongly recommend it.

All I know is he was in Toronto at the end of May to sign Ron’s CD. They might have taped it right then.
Yes, but I think this interview really gave Adam a chance to put those things into a much larger perspective, and I liked that. Bottom line, they happened, and Adam owns them, and learned from them. And he seemed very comfortable talking about the AMAs and how he dealt with it after, and ditto for the “drunk in Finland” issue.
This was a really excellent interview (IMHO), really allowing Adam to express himself wholistically and reflectively. Our boy is a thinker.
