November finds Adam starting out the month with a rather exclusive gig at “Live in the Vineyard” in Napa, California, followed later on in the month by his first concerts in South Africa. Recent information hints that these concerts could be the unofficial start of a potential upcoming Trespassing tour, but we’ll have to wait and see about that.

Had a hard time finding a good photo this month – I’m not a fan of the Glampire pix this year so had to look for other pics. Eventually decided on a slightly pensive look for Adam, from the Arizona State Fair concert. Hope you like it.

Enjoy the chat!

On the new page, eywflyer – appreciate your work here so very much. Everything looks great.

  3. ultimathule says:

Looks like Adam’s shopping in that first pic, HK fan – well, HK is a great place to do it.

  4. eywflyer says:

Thanks ultimathule, glad things are looking good for you. Hopefully the site is faster too, it does seem to be significantly faster for me.

  5. luval says:

Now I am a little confused. Do I sign out or open a new tab or what to see if I am in the new site? Or will refreshing it just do it?

Eta!!!!! I am on the new site and I didn’t have to do anything!

  6. TLKC says:

It’s faster for me, too. Love the pics of Adam on the MTR, shopping, clubbing and taking advantage of his relative anonymity to wander around and experience a new city properly. Wonder what they are going to do with all that time between now and the 30th? Maybe they’ll take the Ferris Wheel that overlooks the city.

I have been to HK several times on business. Interesting Glambert synchronicity story. I met 4 Glamberts at a lunch organized for the GN Toronto concert in 2010. Without knowing them AT ALL, I arranged to go to the Cleveland concert with them 3 weeks later.

On the way back, one of them mentioned that she was originally from HK. I told her that I had travelled there many times on business. She asked me if I had ever stayed at the Shangri-La. I said yes. She asked if I had stayed there in the early 80’s. Answer: yes; five years in a row.

It turns out that she was in the Shangri-La’s Business Traveller office at the time, handling communications, typing, printing, cars, whatever was needed. (No computers in those days.) I used them many times and we figure that we must have spoken at some point.

Can you imagine us talking business and having no idea that 30 years later we would be in a car barreling over the border, madly excited to see someone who hadn’t even been born yet?

  7. TLKC says:

BTW, “I’ve got my boots on, got the right amount of leather and I’m doing me up with a black-color liner” and I’m going to see Adam and Cyndi at the Beacon Theate on the 8th. Taking the train to Syracuse and driving down with luval. Can’t wait for the road trip and looking forward to having a “real life” meeting with some of the ALL-ers.

Wish Ron could come. Well, wish you all could come. I fantasize about winning a lottery and chartering a plane and taking all of us to see Adam in concert (plus a Queenbert concert).

  8. Soccermom says:

eywflyer – fabulous new server/site! Sorry you had to spend your Thanksgiving holiday on tech maintenance, but perhaps that was the only time you had to spare from RL regular working. Are you a techie for real life work too? I have forgotten if you have posted that info before. Thanks again for all your devotion to this site, particularly for us mostly lurkers who also enjoy visiting with the rest of Glamily. Question – most of the time I do not logon, so with the caching change – does a refresh solve that updating with recent comments or is it still better to logon because refreshing is not the solution?

  9. Soccermom says:

Wow – that was an immediate post – usually have had to wait a bit for my comment to show up.

  10. TLKC says:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOlDewpCfZQ
This has been on YouTube for 15 months so you may have seen it. It is a musical explanation and send-up of what sells on the radio and it’s awesome. (Axis of Awesome, actually.)

It was sent by a Glambert, naturally.

ETA: the little guy reminds me of Cheeks especially when he appears as Gaga for 15 seconds.

  11. HK fan says:

TLKC, HK doesn’t have a big wheel…probably one of the few places that doesn’t! Everywhere seems to have one nowdays.

Haven’t seen this one before….he looks really young

  12. HK fan says:

BTW I have the word new at the top of the page, didn’t do anything just refreshed the page and there it was.

Off to bed, late night last night!

  13. Kradamour says:

eywflyer, I am getting dizzy, the pages move so fast lol!
Seriously, it is MUCH faster. Please add my thanks to the others for this wonderful site and all of your dedication to it and to us. Days like today make us remember that you are always doing so much in the background to keep the site running at its best; you do everything so well that you make it easy for us to forget sometimes that a smooth website doesn’t keep itself running! I can only imagine how much time goes into sifting and smoothing the sand in the sandbox.
I think I speak for us all when I say that if I were to turn on the computer and find the site gone, I would be bereft. There would be a huge hole in my happiness.
    Broken Heart

  14. TLKC says:

They don’t? I swear they had one. It was on a kind of cliff over-looking the water. I saw it on a boat-ride. It could have been another stop on my travels but I don’t think so. Did they have one back in the 80’s?

ETA: I looked it up. Ocean Park. They have a Ferris Wheel but that’s not what I saw from the boat. It was probably the Hair Raiser. It’s a kind of roller coaster. It says:
Hurtle, plunge and loop around with your legs in the air at a massive 4G, all the while suspended high above the South China Sea. The Hair Raiser is literally floorless, resulting in a faster, wilder and more exciting ride than ever before!

Think this would be right up Adam’s alley!

  15. mmm222 says:

jlurks– Thanks to your most recent DVD shipment, I’m set for now. I’ll let you know if I need more.

eywflyer– The new site is moving at warp speed. I can’t thank you enough for all you do to keep it running smoothly. Also, thanks for the tip on keeping logged in to see the most recent comments. That was helpful.

TLKC– I really love that Axis of Awesome 4 chords video. Listening to those 3 male voices harmonizing made me think of how much I’d like to hear Adam with predominately male back up singers.

  16. Kradamour says:

I just saw a video of “Straight No Chaser”, an a capella group of about a dozen men who do all sorts of music. How I would love to see them backing Adam!
    Chic

  17. luval says:

Kradamour, Straight No Chaser just played in Syracuse October, 24th. I was curious at the time but never went. Anyway, I think Phoenix was around that time.

  18. rs says:

OK, now I am on the new site again. I was here before, but then it disappeared and I got thrown back to the old site. I posted a message about being confused and now that has disappeared and I am here. It is like being in parallel universes and I don’t know which one I will land in. I am sure that everything will settle down in a couple of days. Thanks eywflyer, for all your work and dedication to this site.

  19. rs says:

TLKC and luval, so excited for you going to see Adam and Cyndi in New York. If I was on that side of the pond I would definitely be there with you. I would love for him to duet with my girl Roberta Flack. I listened to her all through college and grad school. Love her. And to see Whoopie! How cool is that?

  20. cgesq says:

    Hi Everybody,
    Happy Thanksgiving weekend!
I got some emails from some of my Adam friends recently asking if I was still alive (I haven’t posted since the summer) and I figured I would take this opportunity to update everybody on my progress battling breast cancer.
I started chemo in Sept, and I have completed 11 out of 18 weekly treatments-6 big, 12 smaller. I will be done in Mid January. I can’t wait!!!!! Party Most of the time, I feel ok–the exception being for a few days after my big treatments. I have been trying to keep active and pursue my regular life. The trick has been not letting this consume me entirely, because it can be very overwhelming.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend the NYC concert on Dec. 8th (even though I live about half an hour away.) Cry I have a big treatment the week before so I won’t be up to attending. I hope those who go enjoy for the rest of us.
Thanks to everyone for keeping me updated on all things Adam.
Take care and I look forward to seeing lots of you after January! Blowing Kisses

  21. Kradamour says:

    Welcome, cgesq!
Strong karma-filled wishes for a complete recovery without remission…my sister and mother are breast cancer survivors, as well as my neighbor.
It sounds as though you are staying positive and forward-thinking…that is a huge part of healing, for any sort of malady.
And when you need a smile, come and lurk here for a little while if you don’t feel up to posting – we’ll be thinking of you.
January is right around the corner! What a great start to the new year, to finish the chemo rounds and get on with your life.
Big hug from the Old Dominion!
    Heart Female Rose Female Heart

  22. rs says:

Hi cgesq, you must be a mind reader! I was just thinking about you today and was going to email you to see how you are doing. So glad that you have passed the midpoint and are now in the home stretch of your treatments. You have the right attitude, keeping up as much as possible with your daily life. I am looking forward to more concerts together and visits here. Maybe when Adam finally visits Israel you will come and we will go see him together. By the time that happens you will be all better and ready to travel again.

  23. turquoisewaters says:

eywflyer: works like a charm!! Thank you.
HKFan: thanks for posting that picture. It is from LIVE @BERNS, STOCKHOLM 31 March 2010. Haven’t seen this in a looong time. Now I’m stuck watching old youtube vids again…This is Down the Rabbit Hole for anyone else who as a slow morning/afternoon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlfYTlt_j38&feature=related

  24. riskylady says:

Wow, eywflyer just about got whiplash, this is so fast! Yay, no more endless buffering! Thank you sooooo much, would feel orphaned without ALL!

cgesq, great to hear that you’re on the mend. Hope you’ll be ready just in time for the US Trespassing tour!

Btw, people, looked up “sauce” in urban dictionary. Pretty vague, but sorta means something extra good, exciting, et al. REALLY don’t think it has anything remotely to do with Monte. Message was for us, his followers….

  25. turquoisewaters says:

cgesq: It is so great to hear from you. Thanks for giving us this update. I wish you a successful remainder of this treatment series and most importantly good health from then on. You are a great warrior and you are in my thoughts.

  26. milwlovesadam says:

eywflyer, thank you so much for this updated and speedy site! And I have buttons! Yay!

cgesq: So glad for your update. Stay strong. I know several ladies who have survived this very well, with support and a positive attitude. You sound like one of them. Please lurk and watch show videos. It should be like a tonic for you.

    Mils-sauce.

  27. firstimerob says:

Thanks eywflyer I HAVE BUTTONS and no waiting on refresh very grateful for all your hard work much appreciated.

  28. milwlovesadam says:

Okay, guys, I need some help. I have sent my new baby Glambert a very short list of some videos. A couple from Queenbert and Is This Love, to start her off.

What are your suggestions for best vocals with best video?

TeeHee. I don’t need help with naughty OTT stuff. I’ve got that covered. Ahem. And ahem again.

  29. luval says:

mils, unless it might freak her if she’s not even seen Glam Nation, I think the opening Voodoo from pretty much any show with the audience screaming is haunting. And of course SW which I’m sure you sent her. But maybe she’s seen GN?

When he opened the show with Trespassing I thought Fantasy Springs was amazing! And Pop That Lock from Costa Mesa..the TALC video. First time we saw him dancing with the Va Jay Jays.

  30. rs says:

mils, talking about Fantasy Springs, have you sent her the vid of the first acoustic WLL. It is a real classic and not to be missed. And Broken Open from any of the Japan shows.

  31. retjenny says:

Help, can anyone send me a the link that showed Adams family at Idol that showed maybe Johanna…

  32. turquoisewaters says:

mils: I think the following recent concerts were all very good as a whole and have excellent youtubes (to be found on this very site): Napa, Costa Mesa, Wilkes-Barre. There are also older concerts that I’m quite fond of, like the first gig in Moscow and the one and only Fantasy Springs I. Also I like the VH1 Unplugged acoustic videos.

  33. milwlovesadam says:

Thanks guys, I’m holding off on Glamnation for just now. But, when I do, it’ll be Sleepwalker Brisbane, Soaked Hawaii, and several others.
Fantasy Springs 1, and Napa for sure. LA 2, WLL and PH. Ring of Fire. Fever Amsterdam. Oslo. Cologne.Lots of OTT stuff for later.
This is gonna be fun, she’s already in, and now it’s like teaching the master class. You know “Advanced Adam.” She’s already met the prerequisites!

  34. luval says:

whew…I was stuck in the old site for almost an hour.

  35. dcglam says:

Thanks guys, I’m holding off on Glamnation for just now. But, when I do, it’ll be Sleepwalker Brisbane, Soaked Hawaii, and several others.

I have to admit to y’all that I still have not gotten past Sleepwalker. It continues to be my absolute favorite out of both FYE and Trespassing. I know that I am hopeless. Frown

Thank you so much for checking in with us, cgesq. You seem to be in good hands and progressing very well. There are only a small number of weeks until mid January, and we all know how quickly time flies. I am so looking forward to meeting up with you at an Adam concert! Ha, New York is not that far away from Virginia. My niece lives and works in NYC, and my daughter and I love to visit her whenever the opportunity arises. Kiss

eywflyer…. The new site is wonderful! Thank you…. Blowing Kisses

  36. milwlovesadam says:

Yup. Sleepwalker and I have a love relationship too. Sleepwalker and Adam are a perfect fit. They even had a baby. They named it Runnin’.

After hearing that he warmed up with Runnin in SA, I am so hopeful. So very hopeful that we will hear it live. Gah. Even acoustic would be an eargasm.

  37. luval says:

While you’re eating leftovers here is Liam McEwan’s Adam Lambert hour to enjoy in the background. It was great today.

  38. cato says:

Thank you eywflyer, all’s well in my adamlambertlive blogasphere
world. Well, if this get’s posted, that is….

  39. glambotgram says:

Hi everyone, I had our Thanksgiving dinner today, so I have been very busy the last couple of days.
Eywflyer, the new site is wonderful, just to let you know I typed in Adamlambertlive, and it brought me right to the new site, with all the comments posted. I read everything then logged in to see if there were more comments and even without being logged in everything was up to date. lightening fast. Thank You. Is there any cost involved with the move and do you need another donation? Let us know please.
cqesq: I am so happy to hear from you. You sound like you have just the best attitude to get through this. Thank you for checking in.

  40. Kradamour says:

cgesq, my mother knits adorable chemo caps out of the softest cotton. As a two-time cancer survivor (breast and kidney) she took on the making of chemo caps as a way to give thanks.
Let me know if you would like one!

  41. HK fan says:

retjennyI wondered if it was Joanna standing with the family when Adam sung I f I can’t have you on Idol. Watched it the other day, and asked on here if anyone thought it was.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGtn2m1Zy-A&feature=youtu.be

    iichy starts at 43.55

TLKCI did wonder if you meant the wheel at Ocean Park after I replied, but that is just a fairground ride as opposed to one of these huge city wheels. Hair raiser is new, only opened a year ago….haven’t been on it though.

    Stay strong cgesq

  42. riskylady says:

mils, I love this Trespassing/Kickin’In from Wilkes-Barre – the dancing on Kickin’In is INSANE plus great crowd and audio! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Bxmvc34-jgM, Broken English and others from Napa by headonfire1105 (she focuses on Adam, not TJR) – excellent sound, Underneath and AYGGMW from Cape Town, Chokehold and a lovely new version WWFM by goatiegarden at Arizona State Fair. OR this entire Arizona one – great great sound, visual and crowd coverage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toP_xlNDTdM&feature=youtu.be,
    the Voice duet from China.
I don’t envy you – virtually every single concert has multiple amazing performances! How to choose?????

  43. Kradamour says:

This from my newspaper today: “The Ringtoning of the Music Industry”:
    http://hamptonroads.com/2012/11/ringtoning-music-industry
Written by our paper’s music critic – his premise is that attention spans are shorter and shorter, and a hook is all that matters – the part of a song that becomes the ringtone. Download a whole album? Kids today don’t even download whole songs.
    Very sobering.
If I had read it a couple of days ago, I’m not sure I would have agreed with him. But over Thanksgiving I watched some TV for the first time in years, with my inlaws.
    Damn.
    I had no idea.
Camera angles change every few seconds. Segments of a “plot” are short and choppy. Visuals are shotgun. Loud disruptive commercials.
After fifteen minutes, I felt nervous and jumpy. Visual and auditory overload.
    Sensory shutdown.
No wonder my students have trouble paying attention! They watch this crap for hours every day. They have been trained to have the attention span of fleas.
    (shakes head)
It made me so sad to think that this is what we are becoming.
And today Rashod’s column makes sense to me.
    Big Frown

  44. retjenny says:

HK fan – I do remember you posing the question about the girl in the video. The answer is Yes it is Johanna. Today I had the opportunity to ask a few questions via text to someone that was at the wedding and went to several of the Idol shows. He, Johanna and Adam met at a Theater Festival when they were teens and have remained friends. I ask mostly general questions and he just said what a great person Adam is (we knew that Smileand how he hasn’t changed.

  45. retjenny says:

HK fan – P.S. Good spotting!

  46. dcglam says:

Sleepwalker and Adam are a perfect fit. They even had a baby. They named it Runnin’. After hearing that he warmed up with Runnin in SA, I am so hopeful. So very hopeful that we will hear it live. Gah.

    Speaking of Runnin…
Today at my house we were watching the Virginia/Virginia Tech football game. During the interlude between the third and fourth quarters, they played Haley Reinhart’s “Hit the Ground Runnin”. You guessed it….. All I could think about was Adam’s “Runnin” and how I am hoping to hear it on my TV one day as well.

  47. cgesq says:

    Kradamour,
That is very sweet of you to offer, but I’m good on caps.
    Thanks.

  48. Oksana2000 says:

Eywflyer, great job! New site moves like greased lightning.. Smile
Thanks again for creating this safe heaven for us.

Once in a while I check MJs,but with gazillion of threads that her site has now, it’s to cluttered for me now, and not many comments on each..

Out of curiosity I checked an old Adam’s thread, the last GNT concert. It has 6,607 comments.I guess we hanged on that thread until March,2011. Talkative crowd, aren’t we? And then in May,2011 we moved over here. Kiss

  49. ultimathule says:

Agree, Oksana – about MJ’s cluttered site – presume she’s branching out to get more hits. People have left – it’s mainly Idol that drew us there.
Her treatment of Adam fans (I drew her ire for just a funny comment) made me queasy about posting unless I was praising one of her favs.
No great loss – what we have here is what is most important to me. Adam 7/24.

  50. milwlovesadam says:

So tonight hubby and I went out to dinner at a newish Asian Sushi Fushion place. Yummy. Our waiter was a lot of fun, and we got to talking. He mentioned that he has tried out for Idol two times and this summer he went to Chicago, and got through four rounds of auditions, and if he hadn’t been cut, the next round was judges. He said they kept trying to put him into a category, they kept insisting on “branding” him, making him pick a genre. He was really upset with the process because he has a variety of styles he can do, and didn’t want to be pigeon holed. They even taped his “back story”, and interviewed family and friends. He must be pretty good if he got that far and they taped those elements. He was so very disappointed.
He was cute and young too. He said he was done with Idol. He’s trying out for The Voice when he can.
