November finds Adam starting out the month with a rather exclusive gig at “Live in the Vineyard” in Napa, California, followed later on in the month by his first concerts in South Africa. Recent information hints that these concerts could be the unofficial start of a potential upcoming Trespassing tour, but we’ll have to wait and see about that.

Had a hard time finding a good photo this month – I’m not a fan of the Glampire pix this year so had to look for other pics. Eventually decided on a slightly pensive look for Adam, from the Arizona State Fair concert. Hope you like it.

Enjoy the chat!

Does anyone know anything about the New York Times article today?

which was on 24/7. And they don’t even show the current look.

Looks like it’s actually an old NYT print article from April 2009.

Sorry to hear about your BIL asif, please be strong. This of course goes for everyone who is, or has family, in conflict areas. I’ve been thinking about you a lot.

I would also like to mention that I had a lovely coffee with Calgary in Calgary! Yes, it finally worked, and we hope to do it again soon.

  4. nkd says:

Wow luval, seems like just a few weeks ago you reached 4000! Woohoo chatty girl! High Five!

mieps You beat me to it! Yes, It was my FIRST meeting with a fellow glambert! Hopefully there will be more. RL crazy busy but I am grateful to you all for your wonderful posts; they are far too diverting when I’m supposed to be working! I think of you who have offspring in the military every time I listen to the news and hope that they are safe.

  10. HK fan says:

So Adam has now announced a concert in Seoul on feb 17th

Adam Lambert Concert in Seoul, at AX-Korea uniqlo-ax.com/newhome/index.… on 2/17/2013 tix sale opens on 26th Nov, 2012 ticket.interpark.com/Webzine/Paper/…

and the show will be limited to adult audience only… wonder what he’s gonna do on stage haaaaa

Everyone keep your fingers crossed that he announces a show in HK and Singapore while he’s out this way, what with Korea and Japan. He’s doing a lot of concerts considering he’s not actually on tour!!

Re the adults only in Malaysia. I don’t think that has anything to do with Adam as much as the general rules of the country. Parts of Asia have much higher age restrictions than a lot of places, even home decorating programmes are classified 18 in Malaysia!!

  11. luval says:

I want to thank the academy (or the Adam-emy) for this honor of yakking for 5,000 posts. I will do my best to continue my quest to the next level of 6,000 posts.

I’m up early this morning trying to get a jump on my busy day in preparation for tomorrow’s Thanksgiving Dinner here at my house. Yesterday was the one-year anniversary of the death of my mom. We didn’t have Thanksgiving celebration at all last year, couldn’t put ourselves together for that. But, we’re doing it this year.

I haven’t posted much lately but have been here lurking. My prayers and thoughts go out to all of you who are in harm’s way or have loved ones in that position. Blessings to all of my ALL family.

    Check you guys later.

  14. TLKC says:

Well, well, well…. I woke up this morning to birthday greetings from …… Dead Rose Pig 2 Pig Cow Cow 2 Clown Loser Loser Loser Perez Hilton!?

I guess at some point I must have filled out a profile on his site in order to post something (must have been to yell at him.) I can’t think when I did it but it has to have been this year because I have no recollection of previous birthday greetings from that quarter. Maybe he instituted the practice fairly recently.

He looks like a complete moron, blowing a party favour.

  15. TLKC says:

Congrats on your 5,000 post luval! Clap Jump High Five!

  16. TLKC says:

I emailed the Queenbert petition out to a few fellow Glamberts. It’s pretty weird that none of us saw this. Wonder why the poster didn’t circulate it a bit more?

I also posted it on facebook for my brother to see. He says that the best concert of his life was Queen at Maple Leaf Gardens when he was 17 (circa 1976). He’s a huge Freddie fan but not a militant and I think he would find Adam & Queen a lot of fun. My nephews might be talked into it as well. I am trying to be patient for the “much more” but not managing that too well.

  17. TLKC says:

Hate to be a post ho but does risky lady have eagle eyes or what? She caught the entitled fan business at the end of the band intro’s in Capetown AND the Minaj/Keisha “almost” contretemps on the AMA’s. I would have missed both if it weren’t for her. Big Smile

  18. LadyNorth says:

Adam in China, Mercedes-Benz. These are taped from the live stream which stopped all the time, but sound good. A very big and empty stage… Band somewhere far away, no drums, the tape. But Adam sang well as usual Smile But I just noticed when he was speaking/singing at the beginning of Trespassing there was something different with s – anyone hear that?

Good morning. I’ve just done some database cleanup in an attempt to fix the site access problems we have been experiencing recently. I think I might have found the culprit – the plugin that was recording site visit stats. That particular database table was HUGE. Now it’s gone. I’ll be watching the site error log, but please send me an email via the contact site admin link if you experience site access problems.

  20. Ron says:

Judy Garland must be keeping a watchful eye on Adam’s career from up above because she picked out the perfect outfit to attend Adam’s next concert.

  21. Ron says:

    Hi eywflyer!!

I’m finding a quicker response time when I refresh the page. Takes about 5 seconds where as before it was “hanging” indefinitely.

Perhaps this may be because “traffic” is low but, for right now, I see a definite improvement.

    Thanks so much!

  22. ultimathule says:

His voice sounded different at M-B – almost as though he were “pushing” it – rather than the effortless sound he usually has.

  23. glambotgram says:

I think it is not his crowd at MB event, so he seemed a bit uncomfortable. No screaming Glamberts. LOL Music cues were off, Band is too far away, crowd not into it.

But he rocks it and looks amazing in that jacket. I wonder if he got it in SA.

I hope this is one of those events that he makes a ton of money for.

  24. milwlovesadam says:

Loved the outfit. I think those gloves were a Japan purchase when he was blonde. He did sound “winded” during Trespassing. But it looks like he was dancing-maybe.

On second thought, he’s never sounded winded before during some amazeballs dance moves.

Hope some better vids come through. He looked gorgeous. Love that jacket. Steel blue?

The sound on this recording was a little distorted. Mushy sibilants. Bad /s/ sounds.

Did you all see that he had a Thai massage? And that the shop tweeted his receipt with fake name and room number? It’s over at 24/7. She was forced to remove the receipt.

The “best” part of it was that she asked him if he was a superstar. He said “maybe.” With a big grin. Love that.

  25. ultimathule says:

LadyNorth – with regard to the “s” sound (think that’s what you mean?) – remember back on the AI tour some commented on that sound in those big venues – don’t know if that has anything to do with it.

  26. milwlovesadam says:

    Reading back:

Asif: I’m sorry to hear about your brother-in-law.

Luval: I’m so happy you are so gabby!

Ron: That gown is so very forward thinking of La Garland!

eywflyer: Everything is faster now. And I have buttons. YAY!!!

TLKC: What no “I just just threw up a little” emoticon?? Thanks for sharing, because it was a real LOL moment for me!! Oh and Happy Birthday to you!!

  27. milwlovesadam says:

glambot, I read somewhere that this a huge money event for an entertainer. They have had major stars do these, like Beyonce. This is actually a big feather in his cap.

I love that jacket. ( And what’s in it ).

  28. milwlovesadam says:

Thanks for everyone’s concerns about my sons in Jerusalem. They are safe today. My sister-in-law is in a more dangerous area. But they are safe today too.

At this time of Thanksgiving, let’s all be grateful for the peace we enjoy here in the USA.

ceddies, I can totally relate, and wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving. This is a big milestone for you, and you know your Mom will be always be with you, in your heart.
I’m up early making homemade yeast rolls. A triple batch.
My dear deceased husband, just loved roll baking day. The whole house smelled so wonderful. There may be a few tears in the dough.
The sentiments and loss, tugs at our hearts. Heart

Giving Thanks to you, for sharing this tender time, and knowing this year will be different. Have a wonderful & joyful Thanksgiving! Rose

  31. LadyNorth says:

Ulti, thanks for explaining the s-sound, yes that’s what I meant. I hope it’s the venue… It sounded like someone trying to speak after being to a dentist and having local anaesthetic still onThinking

I think it was a weird situation, that audience in suits, his band far away. But at the end I think they liked it, some talking in the first rows. I hope he got good money for that Wink

  32. ultimathule says:

When’s his next “gig” ? I’ve lost track – they seem to be popping up all over the place.

I’m wondering if he’s just tired – hope he’s not straining his voice – those vids concerned me a bit.

Wanted to bring this over from 24/7 – it’s the English promo of the MAMA-Mnet show. This thing is HUUUGE – broadcast to 52 countries including the US. Hope it gives Trespassing a bump.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=h5wuUu-1KwM
I think the long-distance travel isn’t doing Adam’s voice any favors. He sounded good, but yes, a little “pushed.” It takes a few days to get over jetlag, so hopefully a few days more while he’s in Hong Kong rehearsing will get him shipshape. Or, maybe he has a cold – easy to get on planes.
These long hauls are the most he’s ever had to do, and there’s more ahead – back to NY, then back to California, then on to Bali. Hope they leave January alone for some much needed rest and home-time.
ETA: ultima, next is the MAMA show in Hong Kong 11/30, then the Hennessey show in Shanghai 12/2, then NY/Cyndi Lauper 12/8, then San Francisco Jingle Ball 12/14 then VH1 Divas 12/16 then NYE Bali 12/31.
    WHEW!

  35. riskylady says:

TLKC, thanks – I love moments like those, so off the cuff! And, never realized what a lovely voice Keisha has (I’m sure Nicki hadn’t either until then LOL).

  36. ultimathule says:

Thanks, riskylady, for those numbers. Happy to see he’s got over a week till Hong Kong. Short time then to Shanghai (flying time?)

Then six days to Lauper (NY), 6 days to SF, 2 days to Divas (LA?), then, thank heavens, 2 weeks to Bali.
(Sorta talking to myself here with these numbers.)

Assume he knows his voice and what it can take (he insured it for a reason I would think – possibility of a cancelled concert the big reason?)

Gotta stop worrying and start cooking.

  37. riskylady says:

Well, here are a couple of actual videos from the Mercedes Benz gig – a little more comforting, little more audience reaction. Not very good audio.

    http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XNDc4MjUxMTg0.html

Sounds like he had to work his way up to the high note in Trespassing. Damn, boy is DETERMINED to give people 110%.

  38. turquoisewaters says:

asif: You are in my thoughts. Wishing you strength.
TLCK: Happy Birthday! (Now for reals)

Adam really sounded a bit off to me at this Mercedes event. Like he needed some of that throat coat badly. Actually, everything sounded off to me: sound, band, and Adam. As long as he is not doing any permanent damage to the precious voice, I am okay. We all have off days. Maybe the whole gig was poorly set up. Maybe it’s just the way it was recorded. eta: I do love the jacket !! eta: Yep, was the sound. Voice seems fine.

  39. luval says:

So I only watched Trespassing and I love love love his jacket. I thought he sounded good and he said “yeah, my aaaa”, except at the end he said “yeah, my ass”. Just a slip there.

And he got a semi-standing ovation and many nods of the heads. lol

  40. luval says:

  42. luval says:

Why yes, turquoisewaters. When I look at that picture he’s staring right at ME…begging me to hop in!

  43. milwlovesadam says:

“”Hello, my name is Adam, I’ll be your personal chauffeur for today. Oh, wait, I need to put on my driving gloves. Oh, and do you mind if we stop to get some throat coat tea first?””

  44. milwlovesadam says:

Hello. My name is Adam. Um. Does this car come in an American size? Or a fabulous entertainer who is 6’1″ without boots size?

  45. TLKC says:

A sliver of the In Sixty interview that MuchMoreMusic is broadcasting this Sunday at 10 PM. The conversation appears to be very thoughtful. The departure point is “openly gay” but Matt Wells seems genuinely interested in the socio-political aspect of where Adam sits in the culture. I love what Adam says about his thoughts on marriage and what he thinks it means for the next LGTBQ generation.

  48. leoblueeys says:

After watching the vids, he does sound very winded. He still sounded ok and of course looked georgous as usual, but his voice did sound strained which is very unusual for him. But with that being said,he still sounded way better than any other artist out there today!

  49. turquoisewaters says:

I like that little teaser of the MuchMoreMusic interview a lot. Adam makes a great point about the next generation of gay/lesbian youth seeing marriage as part of what is available for them. No matter if an individual wants to marry or not, having the right to marry would boost the status of any gay relationship so much.

  50. HK fan says:

copy of a comment from 24/7

My friend who just came back from the scene said the performance was spectacular, but the recording didn’t do it justice. And the audience were not very high, because they were mostly not Adam’s fans, but some middle aged very rich people.
