November finds Adam starting out the month with a rather exclusive gig at “Live in the Vineyard” in Napa, California, followed later on in the month by his first concerts in South Africa. Recent information hints that these concerts could be the unofficial start of a potential upcoming Trespassing tour, but we’ll have to wait and see about that.

Had a hard time finding a good photo this month – I’m not a fan of the Glampire pix this year so had to look for other pics. Eventually decided on a slightly pensive look for Adam, from the Arizona State Fair concert. Hope you like it.

Enjoy the chat!

Thanks kradamour. Yes, every country has had its ups and downs, but not every country’s downs have been equally deep. I think not nearly enough time has passed to move on from a disaster/guilt as big as WW2. There are still a lot of lessons to be learned. Maybe some of you have read “In the Garden of the Beasts”. It is a chilling account (from the US ambassador’s perspective) of how a supposedly civilized country can go down the wrong path so quickly with the whole world watching and knowing. I recognize certain attitudes that facilitated this: unwillingness to speak out against wrong when it does not immediately affect you, seeking your own short-term gain from other people’s mistreatment, flat-out denial and spinning of facts to suit your own agenda and worldview.

  2. turquoisewaters says:

Thanks for posting this, luval. I had not realized there was an actual video of this. And that this was Terrence. Man, those boys were trouble. Somehow I imagine them getting off stage and falling over laughing.

Someone asked me once how I could tolerate the thought of my son waging war. No, I replied…he is doing his best to wage peace.

And that, I think, is the true message of Veteran’s Day; to honor those who waged peace.

That is such a beautiful sentiment, and especially true today with our all-volunteer military. I don’t believe people are joining the military to make war, but to help keep the peace. As Reagan always said, “Peace through strength.” It is sad that the civilian politicians do not work as hard to keep the peace.

  4. luval says:

You are welcome, turquoisewaters. And I think you are correct. Fierce on stage and giggling little boys off stage.

    Hi All,
I’m wondering how many people are interested in dinner or at least meeting up before the show on 12/14. I’m going to see what I can find out about reservations and dining options if I get enough response that I have an idea what to check for. If it’s just 3 or 4 people reservations won’t be needed.

I have a balcony seat and a GA ticket so I have lots of options for that day. I got the day off of work just in case I end up wanting to sit on the sidewalk all day, lol.

So far three have opted in. (including Kathy) Oh, and posted on the Winter
2012/2013 planning thread also (where it should be).

luval, I have always been struck by the contrast of Adam’s skin on stage: zodiac, 740 club, Crazy, etc. and the layers in real life. And even on stage, when he was on a national stage and not just a club with his peeps, he was what mils calls a brussels sprout – that fanvid posted just above reminded me of that, with the t-shirt under the vest so the tummy wouldn’t show!
It is part of what I love about seeing him shedding a bit on stage now – our tummy porn at Napa was the latest and bare-est version/vision!
    Chic
I hope it means that Adam is comfortable on the larger stage in the way that he was once only comfortable on a smaller stage with his peeps.
Adam has every reason to be the most comfortable person on the planet! and yet it has taken a while for him to feel the confidence that is his due.

This just popped up on Twitter….DJ Digimark FYE-Cuckoo-OffTheWall-MJ mashup (the long-awaited video) I love that he used FYE from the AMAs, tired of everyone maligning that song!!

riskylady that has been out for a few days. But I agree, I really like it. He allowed download for a little while a few days ago, I downloaded it.

  9. riskylady says:

glambot, I believe that was the Soundcloud, sound only. He just uploaded the actual video mashup today, per his website.

I loved all of your stories for Veterans Day/Remembrance Day. Heart

I’ve missed way too much to comment on any of it. I don’t know where to start!

I’m excited for the SA concerts this week!

    Kiss asif and Ron!
I was visiting my daughter and grandbaby last week so didn’t have much time for posting. I’ve returned to mostly lurking these days.

I did see the remodeling of my corner going on! Wink
I had always pictured it with silky pillows and cushions sort of like Jeannie’s bottle, similar to riskylady‘s description. Of course, plenty of Adam in there too!

  12. milwlovesadam says:

Hopefully they are there by now. Eight hours ahead puts them in the same time zone as my kids. I know when I have traveled that far that the jet lag is fierce. Even if you sleep on the plane, it is just awful. They won’t have any time at all to rest. The show is just a day and a half away for them.

  13. ultimathule says:

AQD has a beautiful pic on her e-mail page of a fan hugging Adam – presume in LA.

  14. HK fan says:

Love that Kiss and tell video, well the visual anyway, the sound was crap. He really can dance! I had never seen that before.

And that cuckoo/FYE/off the wall mash up video is sooooooooooo good. The editing is excellent.

turquoisewaters, my MIL was a member of the Hitler youth when she was a teenager, and her dad served in the Prussian army. Don’t be sad, all our relatives are part of history, most of them were just following orders whichever side they served on.

Love that video of Adam, Terrance and Johnny but I have to tell you, luval, I was addicted to a video of this particular performance set to Aerosmith’s “Dude Looks Like a Lady”. Played it over and over again.

    Josephine,
Read your post asking if someone lived in Redding, and I don’t but I co live in Chico. You said Redding is 45 minutes away, curios if you’re 45 mins. north or south. Would be fun to know another glambert in the area. Don’t think there are many here in this area.
Take care, and enjoy the beautiful day here in the valley.

    O. M. G.

Our brussel sprout of multiple layered clothing has been holding out on us.

Oh Please let us see your birdies.

If this is true we need confirmation.

  24. ultimathule says:

Not against tattoos, but do think Sauli has too many. Adam’s, up until now, have been meaningful ones – not just for decoration. Have no desire to see two birdies on Adam’s chest – like it the way it is. It was gorgeous and unspoiled in those early Zodiac vids – tattoos would not add anything in my opinion.

  25. Oksana2000 says:

Was this posted already? Adam making comments on VH1 Buzz this morning.

    http://www.vh1.com/video/misc/855952/adam-lambert-helps-countdown-the-buzz-chat.jhtml#id=1697185

    Could be anyone more gorgeous???

  26. luval says:

Oksana…was just going to post that. Adam just tweeted it. Yes, he looks amazing and the new hair is beautiful. He looks so young.

I think the tattoo thing was a mistake. I think they are talking about Sauli, not Adam.

  27. Oksana2000 says:

    Mils, WHAT tatoos??? Which pictures??

Seems that Adam started pretty late in life with his tatoos, so he may not go overboard. Did you see Adam Levine body? I wonder how it’s gonna look when he is 70 and all wrinkled. Ugh.

  28. HK fan says:

mmm, interesting re bird tattoos…..we saw quite a lot of chest on those Napa pictures last week. They birds must be pretty small, or in a strange place, or a couple of commenters on 24/7 reckon they’re mixing him up with Sauli. No doubt we need him to strip off to confirm it one way or the other. Otherwise it’ll be like the nipple piercing time, when we spent weeks speculating and examining every picture for clues.

Adam wants us to watch vh1 Buzz

    Adam Lambert‏@adamlambert

Check me out on Buzz Chat with @CarrieKeagan and @JasonDundas on #VH1Buzz this morning http://on.vh1.com/BMBLadml @VH1

But bloody vh1 won’t let anyone outside the US watch….thats why I prefer vevo.
Looking at his twitter feed, so many fans have answered it saying they can’t watch.

  29. Oksana2000 says:

Mils, I showed my friend some of the Vineyard vids and she said that he looks better and betterer with age. More masculine. May have something to do with losing weight and since Adam has such a great bone structure now his face is more chiseled.
BTW, I need recomendation for a good juicer. I told my friend, who is on the constant diet, about juicing and after she saw results on Adam she wants to go for it.
Also receipes for juices. The one that all of you tried.I have no strenght to go thru Sauli postings to find out his mixes.

  30. HK fan says:

  32. Kradamour says:

Oksana, this is my juicer: Breville Juice Fountain Compact, model # BJE200XL
I think Adam has the larger model of the Breville, but this is perfect for one or two people, IMHO.
It is very well designed, very well made, and very easy to clean; plus attractive on the counter. Plus not expensive: about $100 on Amazon with free shipping.
Sauli was in a recent interview saying he liked celery, carrot, ginger, and apple juice. I really like that same blend with some kale added. Two celery sticks, 2 carrots, one small apple, and some kale leaves with a slice of fresh ginger and jicama (thanks to mils for that last ingredient) is pretty divine. Even my husband drinks it.

  33. HK fan says:

  34. Oksana2000 says:

Krad, thank you!! I’m going to copy your post and e-mail it to her.
We have farmers market every Sunday where she can go and buy some organic stuff. I told her not to buy ready made juices, cause they are expensive and god knows what goes into them. Heart

  35. TLKC says:

Thanks for the paulanation video, HKfan. At the 3-minute mark Paula gives Adam one of the Queenbert Hammersmith bracelets and then he says there will be “much more, just gotta be patient.”

I LOVE it that Adam finally saw one of the bracelets and knows what Glamberts did.

  36. milwlovesadam says:

I just made some juice!! Nice coincidence.

I have the Jack LaLanne, because the Breville was out of stock at Best Buy. I like it. It’s probably not as small as other ones, but it works great.

I experimented a lot when I bought it and wasted a lot of money and fruits and vegetables.

Everybody has different tastes. But, overall, I find it kind of hard to make a pure vegetable juice that actually tastes good.

You have to find a fruit that you like, mixed with other fruits or veggies.

My favorites include combinations of carrots, apples, sweet potatoes, beets, cucumbers, celery, or jicama. I add ginger and lime to every juice.

You can change the flavor a lot by using different varieties of apples. Granny Smith is super tart and super delicious in juice.

To be less caloric, use a very small sweet potato and a cucumber for more water/quantity.

A diuretic is cucumber, celery, lime, ginger and an apple. Seriously, you will pee and pee and pee!!

I often have a juice and an egg white omelet for a meal. No bread. Maybe some sliced veggies and some hummus.

All I can say is, I don’t juice every day any more. But, the benefits cannot be disputed. And it just tastes good.

I would rather eat my kale than juice it.

  37. ultimathule says:

Yes, Oksana – saw Levine on Ellen – like the old M5 – “Daylight” and his performance rather boring. Funny observation – he sat with his legs crossed like a girl the entire time as far as I could tell. (For me his tattoos are not attractive.)

  38. milwlovesadam says:

That Paula video is absolutely the Adam that we know and love. He usually is just like that and working a line of fans. But, this interaction is just incredible. He really made sure that everybody got what they wanted. He was smiley and jokey and divulged a little Queenbert info. How wonderful to have had that interaction.

  39. milwlovesadam says:

Does anyone have a picture of the bracelets?

@80s_and_sunny He was taking a break in between takes. totally real. room lighting. #rocknroll.

  43. Kradamour says:

that Paulanation vid is so wonderful! Yes, he is about the most patient man in the world. Those were some special, special moments with Adam.
At Wilkes Barre…same endless patience, very much working to be sure that everyone got what they wanted (signature, hug, comment). No barricades there, either, just well-behaved fans and nice interaction.
And in Atlanta for the GN tour, fwachdr and I were lucky enough to also have a “no barriers” encounter when he came out where there were no barricades – he wasn’t expected to come out – the security peeps insisted that he wasn’t coming out – but why were they there, then? So we stayed. Then they admitted that Adam would be coming out, but that if we “bum rushed” him, he would be whisked away. Very nervous security peeps!
But we were well-behaved and made a circle and all was well.
I think Adam really likes the no-barricade moments and would genuinely like to be able to just sit and have conversations with fans, but of course that isn’t likely to happen, and when fans do have the oppy to interact, it is understandably tonguetied in most cases. It was very striking in Ste Agathe when he sat on the front of the stage, leaned way out, and asked us how we had been, what we had been doing since he saw us last, and I really got the impression that he wanted us to answer lol… but of course even that isn’t going to work.
Twitter parties are usually the closest he gets to real interaction with fans, I guess.
    Confused
But this in Texas was wonderful!
    Chic

  44. Kradamour says:

And what I really love about Adam at the barricades (or not barricades), is that he is so parental: firmly but affectionately tells peeps to step back so that everyone gets a chance to work to the front, etc; it is hard to explain but he is very much like an excellent teacher keeping order in a boisterous class.
    In Love

  45. milwlovesadam says:

Those photos are just delicious. Number one should have been the album cover, IMHO.

  46. milwlovesadam says:

    kradamour, you are so funny.

When we saw Adam at the barricades in Hawaii, well, not really a barricade. Just that yellow police tape strung up between either some trees or some parking lot signs, that was all that separated him from us. But he worked that line two ways, back and forth, and kept going back to whoever needed something. He motioned to people who were toward the back to come forward. Yes, he’s very in charge! And that’s a good thing. If he just let other people manage these situations, he’d be whisked away. That’s not good for the fans and he knows it!

  47. Kradamour says:

Can I justify buying one of those photos….no…
    Big Frown
    Well, maybe…
    Who am I kidding…
    Thinking

  48. glambotgram says:

Mils his mouth looks so much like Elvis in that pic.

I am loving the “orgasmiclly glorious” couch picture.
I seriously wish I had the extra money for one of these.

If anyone is interested Lee Cherry having a twitter party and answering questions about the pictures.

  49. Oksana2000 says:

mils, thank you. My friend will be happy trying your juice mixes. She might come with some of her own.

Re Lee prints. Beautiful, but a little pricey (with frame) for me. However I’m sure that it will sell out. What a X-mas gift for a fan!! Star Star Star Star

  50. Oksana2000 says:

Glambotgram , so I’m not alone in love with the “couch” picture? This might be the first one to go…
