November finds Adam starting out the month with a rather exclusive gig at “Live in the Vineyard” in Napa, California, followed later on in the month by his first concerts in South Africa. Recent information hints that these concerts could be the unofficial start of a potential upcoming Trespassing tour, but we’ll have to wait and see about that.

Had a hard time finding a good photo this month – I’m not a fan of the Glampire pix this year so had to look for other pics. Eventually decided on a slightly pensive look for Adam, from the Arizona State Fair concert. Hope you like it.

Enjoy the chat!

Nice voice – big and loud – good for theater. Doesn’t do anything particularly for me. Sort of a clunky mover on stage – even with the sparkly bathing suit didn’t really set the crowds off. Seemed as many people on the stage as in the audience.

  2. ultimathule says:

Once again, in a live concert, the ability to move well and rhythmically adds so much to a performance. That’s why Adam and Bruno are so great – and probably one of the reasons I find Carrie U’s and Kelly C’s not anywhere near as interesting – both of these gals stay pretty much to one place on the stage.

Speaking of performances, Bieber gave one here in D.C. and the review was not flattering – lost on the stage – blank eyes as if he didn’t want to be there. Didn’t matter to the audience, however – they were wildly enthusiastic.

  3. josephine says:

That looks like young Rufus Taylor on drums with Brian????

  4. riskylady says:

Yes, that is Rufus Taylor on drums. There were 40,000 at that concert, per the announcer at the end of part 2. ITA, ultima, she doesn’t excite even though her voice is good. Same with Carrie and Kelly. I love Kelly’s voice, but wouldn’t go to her concert, don’t think she’s special in person. And Carrie, to me sounds like every medium good country singer, like Faith Hill, like Miranda Lambert, like Lauren from Idol – they all sound alike to me.
And very blah on stage. Katy Perry sings poorly, but good stage show LOL.

Proposition 6 for Marriage Equality passed in Maryland!!! I’m so proud of my state. Thanks to Adam, also, for his efforts in raising funds through the DC 9:30 Club concert to help this proposition pass.

  6. ultimathule says:

Yes, voted for Prop 6 today, too, mmm222. Very happy it passed.

LOL Cher! Who says I’m not in the corner? I can’t get out. I’m lost in Napa, freckles, old beautiful songs, and now this fan art….

Oh that’s where you were hiding Mils!!! No wonder I couldn’t find you! Grin Ought to have known you hiding behind glambotgram!

  14. aely says:

Nope. I am up and reading the tweets of love sent Adam’s way and am really tearing up. I have resisted political talk because I am very finanically conservative and very socially liberal. ie, libertarian. I cannot believe how happy I am for equal rights being voted for and passed in so many states. My concerns with government being in my business is still there but wow, let’s look to the positive and celebrate the possibility for all to have equal rights under the law.

  15. asifclueless says:

    Hi HK fan!!!

I missed you. We’re in different time zones now.
I guess everybody here are in bed. I’m exhausted from last night. Need some ZZZ.

    Good night!! Grin

  16. HK fan says:

I might go for a little nap, still suffering, really having trouble throwing this virus off.
    see ya laterz

  17. rs says:

I am up but everybody else might be in bed by now. HK Fan, hope you feel better. So happy about the election and the votes for marriage equality in so many states.

Wisconsin, mils’ state and my alma mater is so crazy. They have everything there. They have both Paul Ryan and now elected Tammy Baldwin, the first openly gay senator!

  18. turquoisewaters says:

2 yr Anniversary dinner w @saulikoskinen1. So much to celebrate !!

I love how election day with so many good developments for gay marriage fell on their anniversary. So much to celebrate indeed. I just wish them continued happiness. I am proud that Adam spoke out for what he believes in in this election cycle.

  20. milwlovesadam says:

For some reason I have been up watching TV!!!

    YAY!!!!!!!

Yes, rs, Tammy Baldwin is out and open, however, she replaces Herb Kohl, who remains deeply closeted. He is out to close family and friends ( some of whom I know ), most people kind of know it anyway, it has just never been an issue.

But, Paul Ryan is re-elected. And I just saw some pundits talking about how he makes most Republicans seem liberal. He scares me so much it’s hard to verbalize.

Gonna go catch up with Adam’s twitter, and then to bed!!

ETA: I am so thrilled about equality passing in four states!! This is just monumental.

  21. turquoisewaters says:

That’s pretty much how I feel about the election. (not sure if this is the Sheila E. ) http://twitpic.com/bb07v0

Congrats U.S. for the re-election and gay marriage equality progression! Smile US Flag Male Male Female Female

Adam really has a lot to celebrate around 6th Nov, since past couple of years Big Smile I really wish I had been in a certain concert on 6th of Nov two years ago… GNT only 2 hours drive away and I was totally unknown of that treasure – but better now than never, uh?

  23. HK fan says:

thanks rs, didn’t get a nap, did some ironing instead, while watching an episode of Trueblood.
after 12 days of antibiotics I was sort of better for a week, but for the last week have been having throat and chest problems again, and have very little voice, its either really hoarse or nothing comes out…very frustrating.

Nasty bug you have HK fan Frown That’s really annoying, having symptoms week after week without getting better. I wish you a quick recovery! Liquor=medicine Coffee=hot tea Bowl =chicken soup

  26. luval says:

Kerry Ellis does not have the “it” factor. She’s ok but just blends into all the other pretty blondes with pleasant voices. Nice of Brian to help her out with her career. I think alot has to do with the animal support issues which is commendable.

Wow what a night last night! Such a wonderful day for Adam! Anniversary, marriage equality passed in two states! The Universe is loving him.

  28. HK fan says:

Thanks ladynorth, I keep dosing up on cough medicine, throat lozenges and panadol….don’t like tea of any kind so thats out, and not that keen on chicken soup. Might make some pumpkin soup tomorrow, will that work instead of chicken??Question

  29. TLKC says:

Did marriage equality pass in 2 or 3 states? When I went to bed last night it was projected in Maine and Maryland, with Minnesota was too close to call.

YAY! for Washington DC as well.

I honestly believe that the courts will deliver on California at some point.

asif – Karma seems to have a way of synchronizing when it comes to Adam. Not only the importance of November 6th. His godson Riff’s birthday very sweetly timed with his, too.

  30. TLKC says:

I hope you get better soon HKfan. This year’s flu bugs seem to be nastier and more persistent. Take it easy everyone ‘cos they are coming our way.

Very nice article with gorgeous pic! My favorite part…

He performed at a concert benefiting Marylanders for Marriage Equality at the 9:30 Club in the District last September. At the time, Lambert joked that if same-sex marriage was approved, he would wear a veil and garter during his next concert in the area. A date for that show has yet to be announced.

Ha, I’m definitely looking forward to and already making plans for this concert!! Grin

HK fan, I bet any soup is fine, it warms you inside Smile

I just found out that Sauli boy has an interview in a Finnish style and life style mag Trendi, a 7-page story. I found it scanned and read (very tiny text) but I think 2 pages are missing… Based on some people’s comments it might be the 2 pages in which he tells what his life was before BB. The parts that I read were no big new secrets. He told how he found his own network of people and friends in LA. He also told that he took an extra job in Finland as a person who shovels snow down from the roof, to be able to buy a flying ticket to LA! I think it was that first trip to LA… And he told again that he is not going to write about Adam or his personal relationships in his blogs, because the blogs are work, not private matters, which he doesn’t want to share public. Maybe those missing pages will be scanned too and some brave person translates the whole thing.

Oh, Sauli also talked about some differences between people in US and Finland. He likes the American way to be open and extrovert. He thinks part of it is because of how people are raised, and the culture of small talk and smiling, but he thinks it can be partly because of the climate too. He has felt himself that his mood/energy starts to go down after one week in Finland this time of the year (the darkness).

  35. Soccermom says:

As a Minnesotan that voted NO on the proposed MN state constitutional amendment (proposed to define marriage as only between opposite sexes), I just want to clarify for everyone that MN should not be given that much credit with regard to progress on the marriage equality issue. The MN vote results are not even close to the impact of the vote in Maryland and Maine, and also Washington state if the current majority vote holds (too early to call Washington state yet). The reason I say this is that MN still has a state version of the federal Defense of Marriage Act (passed in 1997), which by statute already defines marriage (in MN) as only between opposite sexes, much like the federal government DOMA that still exists (although Obama has instructed Justice to not defend the act in court). So the MN constitutional amendment failed, but the statute remains, and the battle for marriage equality, or even same sex civil unions not called “marriage”, continues in MN.

  36. mieps says:

Wasn’t there a girl who did this in her Trespassing video?Maybe Sauli was inspired by it.

Congrats on a hard fought election!

Take care HK and feel better soon.

  37. dcglam says:

So…. Although this defeat of the proposed constitutional amendment may be a foot forward in the right direction, the bottom line is that gay marriage is still illegal in the state of Minnesota. Soccermom, thank you for clarifying all of this for us.

    Feel better soon, HK fan!

  38. milwlovesadam says:

soccermom, it just makes me dizzy. I get so confused by all the legalese. And underneath it all, it’s all just hate legislation to me. It’s all just government intruding in people’s bedrooms and personal lives. I just don’t understand why some people CARE so much about who marries who, that they pass laws against it.

To me, marriage strengthens society. In personal and fiscal ways. All marriage.

But, hopefully, MN is making some progress.

  39. milwlovesadam says:

And, YAY for Tammy Baldwin getting elected here. And, the man taking her seat is openly gay, BTW.

And we still have Paul Ryan here. No

    Peace

  40. milwlovesadam says:

Feel better HK. There are so many nasty bugs out there that linger and are taking weeks to clear up.

Hot tea, hot soup, rest, mucinex!

Oh, and I find a little music is helpful too!

Maybe you know a good singer?

  41. rs says:

And, YAY for Tammy Baldwin getting elected here. And, the man taking her seat is openly gay, BTW.

What seat is that mils? I don’t know much about Wisconsin politics , (except for Paul Soglin who was a radical student leader many years ago when I was at school there and later went on to the Madison City Council). You also said that Tammy Baldwin is replacing someone who is a closeted Gay. Did he retire or did she beat him out in the Dem. primaries?

ETA Wow, I just Googled Paul Soglin and he is the mayor of Madison. I remember him as a radical firebrand leader supporting the Black Student’s Strike when we shut the University down.

  42. milwlovesadam says:

rs, LOL about Paul Soglin! So true! I have a feeling you were at Madison a little before me ( 78-83 for me ) but, he’s a firebrand for sure.

Tammy Baldwin replaces Herb Kohl as State Senator. He retired after many years of service. It’s so ironic that Russ Feingold didn’t run again ( a moderate Jewish guy ), and was replaced by a Rep.last year. Now, Tammy Baldwin replaces a moderate gay Jewish man.

Her seat in the 2nd Congressional district was won by Mark Pocan, (D) an out gay man.

Oh. And The Wall Street Journal declared that our senate race was if not number one, then in the top 2 dirtiest most mud slinging contests in the land. However. Never. Not once. Did the subject of Tammy Baldwin being gay become a subject of the mud slinging.
    Okay. Enough politicking.

  43. Soccermom says:

Mils, the constitutional amendment thing in MN was definitely started in the religious arena (particularly Catholic). No question that some of the reason was “hate” or at least “crusade” type legislation, which is always interesting coming from the religious(who should be more loving/forgiving, etc). But the proposed amendment was also a strategy to prevent activist judges from being able to make law in the courtroom, when laws are supposed to the job of state reps only. In fact, this was probably a big reason the proposed amendment was able to even make it on the ballot, since MN is generally a pretty socially liberal state, while perhaps more conservative on the fiscal side. MN lawmakers were trying to stop judges from making law. Turf battle. Don’t we have more important things to think about? Like how Adam’s career is going? Very glad the election stuff is over!

  44. rs says:

mils, I was at U of W from 1967-1971, at the height of the Vietnam War , Bobby Kennedy’s assassination, the 1968 elections….I spent spring of my freshman year canvassing from house to house in three different States (Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin) for Eugene McCarthy for president. The night before the Wisconsin Primary Johnson announced that he wasn’t going to run for reelection. We thought that we could change the world in those days. They were very exciting times to be young (when I wasn’t running from getting tear gassed at the anti war demonstrations). Then Nixon got in, everyone got very paranoid, I came here for my junior year, and everything changed…..

  45. milwlovesadam says:

Wow rs. You were there during some historic times. When I was there, there was still a very “hippie” vibe and tons of protests, very progressive, etc. But, it was taken over by the “Animal House” mentality to some degree. Huge toga parties took the place of becoming involved in protests. Being from my town, and being just old enough to remember the bombing of the math building, the Weather Underground, etc, it was still a very exciting place to go to school.

Heads up #Glamberts! Watch #VH1Buzz tomorrow morning at 10/9c for @AdamLambert’s special announcement! Wink

  48. ultimathule says:

Thank you, aely – came here to escape politics – and to make an observation about Adam.

I find him so extremely graceful for such a big man – especially his hands. Have you watched his hand movements in these Napa vids – absolutely fascinating. (When you can tear yourself away from other things, of course – lol.)

  49. ultimathule says:

Another observation – at about 1:45 in “Is This Love,” he closes his eyes and does a little something that’s rather cute – such a tease.

  50. dcglam says:

Hmmm….. Special announcement! What could that possibly be?
Do you suppose it has something to do with this previous tweet:

    @VH1Music: @Kyo_jp We are recording “Trespassing” for a #VH1Top20 bump-in on next week’s episode

But then this really wouldn’t be a “special announcement” because we already are aware. Question IDK Thinking
