April was an exciting month, to say the least – news of sold-out Rock-in-Rio concert – great articles in Attitude and Notion magazines – many interviews – Ghost Town single and video release – and lots of angsting over Shazam/Spotify/iTunes/YT and how best to promote Adam, along with the “whistle” question – whodunit? This month may see Adam performing GT live on TV and moving his way up the radio charts. Should be a busy time before the album release on June 16!

    All the talk about buying music…I work with three people who say they will NEVER pay for music. Sad as I’ve had several discussions with them but it does no good. These are health care providers.

    I want to match my hubby who is a cereal killer.

    The story is that we took selfies at home then later noticed 13 boxes of cereal in the background.
    Peeps who shop at Cosco know those cereal boxes. They are huge and each box contains 2 packages inside. Each time my hubby goes to Cosco he has to buy cereal.
    I told my daughter to post the photo on her facebook and caption, “My Dad is a cereal killer!”
    Dear Daughter has more sense than I, … so she said NO!. People might get the wrong idea.
    Haha … My bad!

    I have to post and run. Hosting a cook out for a friend’s BD party. Gotta go!

    I have another strange thing on here the last few days….It always used to be that when I clicked on a link, and then cam back to this page any new comments would show up on the bottom of the thread….but now they don’t. Now the only way to see new comments is to refresh the page.

    FYI – That took about a minute and a half to post – not bad! It’s kind of funny about the emoticons – It took me a long time before I figured out how to use them so when I use them, it is usually sparingly. So I am fine with not having them myself but I miss seeing them on other posts, especially sistasif’s who loves them so! LOL!

    glambot, if you scroll down to where it says screencaps, the second photo is what I was looking at. Maybe it isn’t from the same scene of the vid, but it went by so fast that it was hard to tell. This seemed like the same one. I could be wrong. It happens quite often, lol

    BTW, 411 The Music is saying that the looped MV viewers that fans are sending out probably won’t count. Some fans claim that they work but they are conducting tests on MV’s that have low view counts and YouTube doesn’t start filtering views until the view counter hits critical mass.

    ITA. YouTube pays their YouTube account holders for every view, so you can be sure that they have a built-in sh*t detector for spam views.

    I always refresh after watching the video, I just keep video tab open while I am doing other things.

    I have been wondering too, should we be watching the ads so Adam gets money from them or skipping them. I seem to remember an article talking about how much money PSY was making off of ads on youtube views.

    Interesting question about the ads. Some you can’t skip…the short ones. The longer ones I “skip”. There is virtually an ad every single time I look at the video, after refreshing of course.

    ITA, luval. A ghost town is an empty and abandoned place. It needs people. It needs renewal. It has given up and there aren’t any signs of hope on the immediate horizon. The fans who see hope and strength are probably thinking ahead to what is needed.

    They are also trying to make Adam feel better, which is hilarious. His heart is about as far from a ghost town as you can get.

    I think that the uplifting part of the song is the bridge where he lets his voice soar and he says:

    JMO, but both the lyrics and the power of his voice express his knowledge that as long as he has his song he can survive anything and go on.
