April was an exciting month, to say the least – news of sold-out Rock-in-Rio concert – great articles in Attitude and Notion magazines – many interviews – Ghost Town single and video release – and lots of angsting over Shazam/Spotify/iTunes/YT and how best to promote Adam, along with the “whistle” question – whodunit? This month may see Adam performing GT live on TV and moving his way up the radio charts. Should be a busy time before the album release on June 16!

    All CD’s purchased in the week after June 16th will count to first week sales. I actually plan on buying one at HMV here in Toronto in the first week.

    If you want to split your store purchases up, you can take a friend with you or you could buy two before you do your shopping and another two after. Wink

    It’s a little thing but it helps Adam.

    P.S. Kinkydies said that the store associate wasn’t pleased. Grin

    I hadn’t thought about the impact of low humidity, rs. I guess the humidifier is a standard household appliance where you live.

    Its dehumidifiers here TLKC and RS…have 2 running nearly all the time!!!

    I feel like Shoshanna answers more questions than any publicist out there. Some of the things people tweet to her are really ridiculous, I give her credit for not totally losing it sometimes. Sometimes her curt answers are just what is needed, like her ” you know he is a solo artist right?” answer to the Tommy crays.

    I saw her tell someone that SHE would be the publicist the other day, when they were complaining about what Adam was doing or not doing.

    Yes sometimes she is short, but sometimes that is just what is needed. She seems to try to keep us informed of Adam happenings. Much better than anyone previously has.

    I agree, he’s just a co-writer of these songs. Didn’t Adam contribute to these songs, as well as others?
    I just don’t get all the hype. It’s Adam’s voice that is singing, & sounding awesome.
    Billboard’s publicity is awkward & I bet the other co-writer’s are asking he same question.
    On the other hand, this is a reach here, but any exposure would be good for a Grammy! Wink

    OMG run, don’t walk to that Byron Cooke interview with Adam that asif posted at 1:55am! It is the best thing ever.

    First, Byron repeatedly and shamelessly flirts with him, which just makes Adam giggle throughout. They also have a great, relaxed, detailed discussion about the music. But the best part? Adam unself-consciously searching his cupboards, opening a package, and then munching on rice crackers throughout the interview, with the crunching getting louder and louder as the interview progresses. And then when Byron calls him on it, Adam is all surprised and chagrined that Byron could hear him! LOLOLOL

    Adam honey, you are crunching so loud you could be heard down the street.

    OMG I’m dying of laughter. In tears. I love him so much.

    On my way out, but I just had to comment on that fantastic interview with Byron. I saw it in bed this morning and laughed all the way through. Byron so unabashedly loves Adam and they always have such a great rapport. And the comments on the music were spot on. It took me a bit to realize that the sound was Adam was eating, and then I was waiting to see if they related to it. So adorbs.

    LadyNorth, I am soooooo glad you got a ticket for the Finnish LiveAid, and I hope that you will be able to go. You will be ALL’s ambassador there.

    Cait, I don’t know anyone who understands the music business, especially these days. Good for you for even trying.

    And skaschep, I never wished you a Happy Birthday! My bad. I am glad you had a lovely day. You are such a welcome addition to the ALL family. I hope that we will be able to meet some day, maybe at a concert in Europe for Adam’s next tour. BTW, I hope that your knee is better by now.

    In Canada we have both – one for the summer and one for the winter.

    If you ever make it to Toronto, cwm, I will be happy to accompany you and Ron on your duet (you will have to settle for the triangle because I cannot play any other instrument.)

    Aren’t you on a diet asifclueless? Are you sure it is wise to have those crackers in full sight on a regular basis? I know they are low sodium etc. but…..

    I am desolate about the VH1 interview snippets. The links don’t work in Canada.

    Thank you cwm and rs Big Smile It can be very nice happening, fingers crossed it’s not too cold… Olympic stadium is also nostalgic for me, I lived for 15 years only few blocks away. I could hear all the concerts if I opened my window. First time Adam visits Finland in summer, it’s very green now and nights will be very light Smile

    TLKC, they didn’t work here either so I used the trick that ron taught me for blocking the IP address and it worked like a charm. Ask him for the link. It is worth it. It slows down the computer’s response time, so I just installed it on Firefox and only open that server when I want to see something that is blocked.
