April was an exciting month, to say the least – news of sold-out Rock-in-Rio concert – great articles in Attitude and Notion magazines – many interviews – Ghost Town single and video release – and lots of angsting over Shazam/Spotify/iTunes/YT and how best to promote Adam, along with the “whistle” question – whodunit? This month may see Adam performing GT live on TV and moving his way up the radio charts. Should be a busy time before the album release on June 16!

    Don’t be sorry, Axxxel. Seems like this album has something for everyone. I could tell you a couple songs from his first two albums that I did not like, never put them on my “playlist” or ipod. Yet other peeps loved them!

    Yay…got both new songs off itunes….brought another lonely night off the deluxe album, then Evil in the night automatically downloaded, so brought it off the regular album.

    I really like Another Lonely Night! Still like Ghost Town best, though, there is something so special about it.

    I like the chorus lyrics to the other song, clever! But the song itself seems to go on too long for me. (OTOH, this is a fandom that can piece together snippets and loop them into an hour playlist, so what do I know…?)

    Really looking forward to the whole album. There seems to be a story being told, can’t wait to hear it all! (And for some reason I am fixating on the ring that comes with it…)

    LOVE that Adam is sufficiently mainstream now that Target is selling an AL calendar!

    Did he say touring wouldn’t happen until next year in an interview? I kinda believe it. He’ll be doing promo in the UK and here for at least a month. Queen in the fall.

    Maybe he’ll do some one-offs here and there and gather momentum for a tour.

    Methinks this time could be the real deal. Let’s see.

    Me also thinks that he is going to be HUGE. HUGE in the UK.

    Just watched that B96 interview…probably my favorite in a long time. He was just sitting and talking to a friend and to us. So natural and intimate. Loved it.

    I’ve felt a bit like a turtle with his head in its shell these past few days, hiding, ever since that embarrassing post of mine a few nights ago. Most times when I link an mp3 song of mine, you can know that several glasses a bit of wine is behind it all. Liquor Dazed

    I never listen to myself … unless I’ve had something to drink. (I need it!) Laugh Then, with some ol’ liquid courage, what I thought was awful doesn’t sound as bad as I thought. It’s not good but it’s not that bad. After another glass of wine I’ll think, “I’m really hard on myself. What do ya know? That’s not bad at all!” Add a nite cap, and it turns into “It’s really pretty good after all” and it suddenly seems like a good idea to share it on the blog!

    Then, in the sober light of day, what ended up sounding “pretty good” just a few hours ago goes back to being awful again and I can’t believe I posted it here! Razz

    I didn’t think anyone would post anything but I was actually afraid to come here tonight in case there were comments … and there were comments … and they were so sweet, so kind and very generous. Many thanks for your thoughtful words and a BIG thank you for putting up with me! Smile

    Now … to talk about someone who can really sing. I LOVE Adam’s song “Evil In The Night”. I like it better than “Ghost Town” or “Another Lonely Night” and would have preferred it to be his first single from the album. Of the three, I think that “Evil In The Night” is the “catchiest”. I liked it right away.

    And speaking of someone else who can sing … cwm? It’s your turn. Wink

I had singing lessons when I was younger but there’s no way I’d be as courageous as you (even drunk) to actually record myself, let alone post. Well done.

    It pays to be patient! I didn’t buy the two new songs when they came out because they weren’t on the deluxe explicit album that I pre ordered. When I woke up early this morning and looked at my iPad, I had emails from iTunes that both songs were available for my album and when I went to my music they had both been downloaded! Clap They are on my desktop, too Jump Dance

    I love them both, but have to say that I would love ALN much more if it weren’t for the moos at the beginning of the chorus. It is like those electronic noises on the album version of my beloved Broken Open. I can’t wait to hear it live/acoustic.

Honestly it’s that sound (moo that everyone calls it) that’s bugging me. It’s distracting and not necessary to me. I don’t get it.     Just dropping in to report that “Ghost Town” was playing in Shopper’s Drug Mart in Toronto as I was checking out at the cash. Yes High Five!

    I thought it was my iPhone starting up at first – it does that sometimes often – but the sales associate confirmed it was their music by turning it up a bit. She didn’t know the song but when the whistling started she nodded approval.
