April was an exciting month, to say the least – news of sold-out Rock-in-Rio concert – great articles in Attitude and Notion magazines – many interviews – Ghost Town single and video release – and lots of angsting over Shazam/Spotify/iTunes/YT and how best to promote Adam, along with the “whistle” question – whodunit? This month may see Adam performing GT live on TV and moving his way up the radio charts. Should be a busy time before the album release on June 16!

    We have a lot of school closings coming up in Ontario. I wonder if the teacher’s union and some of the students might start making their own versions.

    How do extra videos attach themselves? Even the Ghost Town above has Lamberlust’s American Idol journey after GT ends. I don’t think it did that originally.

    When listening to kissfm in chicago yesterday, they were playing the maroon 5 song every hour at least on the morning show. They said it was the radio premier. I would guess that is how they achieved 200 spins so fast.

    Only 54k update from yesterday. Maybe that will get corrected tomorrow or else people are listening to Underground a bit to much.

    Music video: 1,601,844 views!

    Underground had equal amount of views to the music video though.

    I got up this morning and found that iTunes had identified “Underground” as “purchased”, along with GT. I clicked on the song and it automatically downloaded.

    I haven’t bought the clean version of GT yet but I will this week. Also, I bet TPTB factor the remix plays and purchases into the original song in some way.

    Underground is growing on me.

    Quite a mess that sharing of UG… I woke up yesterday morning noticing happily that there is a new song out Smile Gladly there were many nice peeps on twitter who sent me links where to listen to it. Apparently peeps outside US, at least in Europe couldn’t get it on iTunes. And not in Amazon pre-orders? They should make those things work globally and smoothly when they are announced – glamberts have their own channels but for new interested order makers that’s very confusing. I’m using official vid now, glad it works for me.

    I agree song sounds very current. I love the beginning and when it goes higher, but there are moments that I don’t like so much. Probably because they sound “too” r&b to my taste (I just don’t like modern r&b especially certain way of singing, not my cup of tea). But the known fact is Adam could sing a phone book and be better than anyone else! His voice is so captivating. And it sounds great how he sings his own background vocals at so different heights. So this is not going to be a single, at least for now? Based on what Shosh tweeted…

    Too bad Carson Daly works for NBC. Although he may feature Ghost Town on his “Daily Download show” if Adam was going to be on The Today show rather than ABC Central Park, he may promote it more. Always something.
