April was an exciting month, to say the least – news of sold-out Rock-in-Rio concert – great articles in Attitude and Notion magazines – many interviews – Ghost Town single and video release – and lots of angsting over Shazam/Spotify/iTunes/YT and how best to promote Adam, along with the “whistle” question – whodunit? This month may see Adam performing GT live on TV and moving his way up the radio charts. Should be a busy time before the album release on June 16!

    I got an email today with a download link because I ordered the ultimate fan package or whatever it was called.
    Just listened…I like it, but I don’t find it as exciting as Ghost Town. THAT song is constantly in my head, I love it as much as anything I have heard Adam sing, ever.
    I think I don’t love the lyrics to Underground, they will eventually sound dated and (IMHO) I find them a bit predictable.
    The piano opening is very appealing – and I am very excited to hear the rest of the album! I really love the direction it seems to be going. Very adult, with a nod to youth.

    I too think this is quite current!! Sounds like the pop stuff all over the radio…only BETTER, of course…voice, lyrics, clarity, music, vocal ranges!!
    Caught it just as I was leaving for an appointment earlier and just listened once. When I got into the car I said to the Duke that he sounded a lot like Michael Jackson when he’s not in the lower register. I really like it! Go Adam!!

    The lyrics are very cliche but no different than anything out there! They are almost comical to me but that’s what the “kids” want. Smile Something that doesn’t take any thinking…not too deep.

    I really like Underground, it sounds like something Timberlake would put out. It’s super current, and will be a bigger impact on radio than Ghost Town. IMHO.

    I love his lower register. Runnin…

    So you know I said my almost 21yo whatsapped me last week about how great Adams new song is??? well, when I picked him up from the airport a couple of days ago, the first thing he put on my ipod was Ghost Town. Then yesterday I heard him upstairs whistling the chorus, then a bit later I heard the full song blaring out from his room…made me smile. He’s not listening to it on spotify though, some other music site.

    I really like Underground too Mils…..but I don’t like Timberlake or Michael Jackson!!! The only lyric I don’t like is the velcro one..

    These two songs could not be more different. But, one thing that I can see is that when he gets to perform them live, there are “wail opportunities” in both of them. There are also plenty of opportunities for him to be slinky and sexaay as f***ck.

    I think choosing this as his next song to be dropped was very wise. It shows that his album has many different sounds, and with Ghost Town rising in the charts and getting more spins, this song demonstrates what the whole album will be.

    I think if they drop the Tove Lo song the week the CD comes out, he’ll score HUGE.

    I loooooved him back in the day, and still do. Oh well to each his own.

    Timberlake, some of his stuff I like, some I don’t. Sexy Back is his best, IMHO. It’s such an earworm, and sooo sexy. Truly, I heard it out at a club and I think people got pregnant right there in front of me!!

    It so sucks. Yesterday in Germany we could watch and listen to “Underground” on Adams YouTube-channel. Today its blocked again. For now its only available on iTunes, but I dont use iTunes at all. No amazon, no spotify, the download-link I got from my AO pre-order doesnt work as well. Big Frown

    Do I really have to get iTunes as well…?

    ETA: that Ghost Town School Vid is so funny and amazingly done. Love it!

    Aw Cait, that is so frustrating. I don’t know what to tell you. I bought both songs from iTunes and preordered TOH from there. I think I ordered one explicit and one from the deluxe album because they don’t both show up together on my iPad. I didn’t want to order it from the fan site because it doesn’t say anywhere whether it is the deluxe album or the explicit version. Shipping to here costs about $10, almost the cost of the CD, so I hesitate if I will be able to buy it here, and in the past they have arrived with broken cases. I might order from Amazon anyway. I think that they are shipped here from Germany.

    lol, it seems that I bought GT from the explicit deluxe album that I had preordered and Underground as a single from the regular album. So I just bought another copy of Underground so that my TOH will be complete and in one place. Of course I could move them around and make playlists, but that is too much trouble, Grin

    There are a lot of people complaining about the DL buttons not working for Underground or GT. I know the email I got yesterday with the info about early DL shows Amazon as a source for buying.
    I preordered from Amazon but there is not any info about DL of these two songs anywhere on their site. When I search for Underground it comes up but says not yet available.
    Adam’s people need to get it together with this free download. If they advertise it they need to come through. It doesn’t look good to new fans.
